Safety precautions
Intended use
Carefully read through these instructions before connecting and
operating the radio repeater!
Attention! Electrical installation at an operating voltage of
230VAC may only be carried out by a qualified electrician!
Observe the applicable laws, standards and regulations as well
as the operating instructions of the radio transmitters which
codes are to be memorized!
Have faulty radio repeaters checked by the manufacturer!
Do not make any unauthorized alterations or modifications to the
radio repeater!
Warning! Take care not to damage the antenna insulation!
The antenna could be live!

Functional description
The Junction Box Repeater receives radio-grams of VRS transmitters and
re-transmits these radiograms with a transmission delay of 300 ms.So the
range of VRS radio transmitters can be extended.
After transmit a radiogram, the repeater does not react to further radio-
grams for one second.
The Junction Box Repeater can alternatively be operated with 12–24VDC
or 230VAC.
Memorizing transmitter codes
ATTENTION!
Observe the applicable electrical regu-lations!

1. Mount the radio repeater in a junction box and use the junction box
cover to close the junction box.
2. Connect the power supply (12–24VDC or 230VAC) as follows:
12–24VDC: +and
-
230VAC: Land N
After start-up, the radio repeater is in the oper-ating mode.As long as no
VRS transmitter code is memorized into the radio repeater, every received
VRS radio telegram will be retransmit. During receiving a radio telegram,
the LED flashes for a short time.During re-transmitting, the LED flashes a
little bit longer.

Scope of delivery
VRS FMT Repeater, Operating instructions
So that the radio repeater only retransmits definite radio telegrams, you
have to memorize the codes of the corresponding VRS transmitters into
the radio repeater.
Notes:
–After memorizing the first transmitter code, the radio repeater
only retransmits the telegrams of memorized transmitters.
–In case of longer power failure programming remains.

Note:
Generally you only have to transfer the code of one button per
transmitter channel. The code of the other transmitter buttons will
be assigned automatically.

Mounting advice:
Avoid mounting at the following locations, as this will affect the
range:
–in a distribution box or housing made from metal
–in the immediate vicinity of large metal objects
–on the ground (or near it).

1. Briefly press the programming button (<1.6 seconds). The programming
mode is activated. The LED flashes.
2. Press and hold a transmitter button. If the code has been memorized,
the LED lights up for 4 seconds and than flashes again. Release the
transmitter button.
3. Repeat step 2 with the other transmitters. You can memorize up to
16 transmitter codes into the radio repeater.
4. Briefly press the programming button (<1.6 seconds) in order to return
to the operating mode.
The unit may only be used as a radio repeater for VRS radio telegrams.
The manufacturer shall not be liable for any damage caused by improper
or non-intended use.

Deleting specific transmitter codes
1. Keep the programming button pressed for more than 1.6 seconds.The
delete mode is activated. The LED flashes rapidly.
2. Press the programming button again and keep it pressed for more than
1.6 sec. As soon as the memory has been deleted completely, the LED
lights up for 4 seconds and then flashes again rapidly.
3. Briefly (<1.6 seconds) press the programming button to return to the
operating mode.
Disposal of waste
General information
The symbol (dustbin crossed out, in line with WEEE Appendix IV)
indicates separate collection of electrical and electronic products
in EU countries.Do not dispose of the device or battery in your
household waste.Ask your town or local council about the return
and collection systems available in your area to dispose of this
product.
Put the packaging material into the recycling bins for cardboard,
paper and plastics.
Reset (Deleting memory completely)

deleted, the LED lights up for 4 seconds and then flashes again rapidly.
3. Repeat step 2 with another transmitter or briefly (<1.6 seconds) press
the programming button in order to return to the operating mode.
Note:
If all codes have been deleted, the radio repeater will retransmit
everyVRS radio telegram again.

waste is strictly forbidden.
