1 Veiligheid

2 Inleiding
Deze handleiding geeft richtlijnen voor de installatie van de VETUS
boeg- en hekschroenterface CANVXCSP. Met de CANVXCSP kunnen
drukknoppen (momentschakelaar, maakcontact) voor de bediening
van een boeg- of hekschroef, bijvoorbeeld via de knoppen op een
motorbedieningshendel, worden aangesloten op het VETUS CAN-
bus-systeem. Door een knop in te drukken wordt de maximale stuw-
kracht ingeschakeld.
De kwaliteit van de inbouw is maatgevend voor de juiste werking van
het systeem. Bijna alle storingen die naar voren komen zijn terug te
leiden tot fouten of onnauwkeurigheden bij de inbouw. Het is daar-
om van het grootste belang de in de installatieinstructies genoemde
punten tijdens de inbouw volledig op te volgen en te controleren.
Eigenmachtige wijzigingen sluiten de aansprakelijkheid van de
fabriek voor de daaruit voortvloeiende schade uit.
• Zorg tijdens gebruik voor een correcte accuspanning.

3 Installatie
De CANVXCSP interface kan uit het zicht worden gemonteerd op een
niet permanent toegankelijke, geventileerde, locatie.
3.1 Aansluiten van de CAN-bus kabels
Sluit de CAN-bus (V-CAN) kabels aan zoals aangegeven in onder-
staand voorbeeldschema.

Let op De CAN-bus voeding moet altijd op 12Volt
worden aangesloten.
Raadpleeg de betreende boeg- of hekschroef installatiehandlei-
ding voor uitgebreide CAN-BUS schema's en het congureren van
een boeg- of hekschroef.

3.2 Aansluiten drukknoppen en led's
Let op
Raadpleeg de installatieschema's op pagina 49 en 50
De meegeleverde kabelboom is geschikt voor het aansturen van
een boegschroef. Voor installatie van een hekschroef moet de kabel-
boom worden uitgebreid.
Aansluiten boegschroef
De kabelboom is voorzien van 8 draden die worden verbonden met
connector pin 1, 2, 3, 10, 11, 12, 13 en 14.
- Gebruik de "BOW PB-1" gemerkte kabel, 2-draads: pin 2 (bruin) en
10 (wit) om knop 1 aan te sluiten.
- Gebruik de "BOW PB-2" gemerkte kabel, 2-draads: pin 3 (geel) en
11 (groen) om knop 2 aan te sluiten.
- Gebruik de "BLUE LED" gemerkte kabel, 2-draads: pin 1(-)/(grijs)
en 13(+)/(roze) om de blauwe status led aan te sluiten.
- Gebruik de "RED LED" gemerkte kabel, 2-draads: pin 12(-)/(rood)
en 14(+)/(blauw) om de rode fout/waarschuwings led aan te slui-
ten.
4.1 Algemeen
Controleer of het systeem correct is aangesloten. Schakel hierna de
CAN-bus voedingsspanning en de voedingsspanning van de boeg-
en/of hekschroef in.
4.2 Inschakelen paneel

• Druk beide knoppen, BOW PB-1 en BOW PB-2, tegelijkertijd in.
De blauwe led knippert en u hoort een repeterend signaal, di-di-
di ( . . . ).
• Druk de knoppen, b innen 6 seconden, nogmaals in. De blauwe
led zal nu aan blijven; de zoemer bevestigd met het signaal, dah-
didah (- . -), dat het paneel gereed is voor gebruik.
Indien een tweede paneel is aangesloten zal de led op het niet ac-
tieve paneel knipperen (elke seconde twee korte blauwe itsen, hart-
slag).
4.3 Overnemen paneelbediening
Om de bediening van het actieve paneel op een niet actief paneel
over te nemen, volg de instructies zoals beschreven in paragraaf 4.1.
Aansluiten hekschroef
Gebruik voor het aansluiten van drukknoppen voor hekschroefbe-
diening de volgende onderdelen:
- 1 x 4 aderige kabel
- 4 x aansluitpin AT62-201-16141-22
Bevestig de aansluitpinnen aan één zijde van de 4 aderige kabel. Ge-
buik hiervoor het juiste gereedschap.
Verwijder de witte pinnen van aansluiting 6, 7, 8 en 9 uit de connec-
tor. Plaats de draden van de sternkabelboom in de nu vrije pinnen.
- Gebruik pin 6 en 8 voor het aansluiten van "STERN PB-1", knop 1.
- Gebruik pin 7 en 9 voor het aansluiten van "STERN PB-2", knop 2.
3.3 Specicaties

4.4 Uitschakelen paneel
• Houd beide knoppen, BOW PB-1 en BOW PB-2, ingedrukt totdat
alle led's uit zijn en u het signaal, di-di-di-dah-dah ( . . . - - ) hoort.
Het bedieningspaneel is uitgeschakeld.
• Schakel de accu-hoofdschakelaar uit, indien u van boord gaat.
4.5 Controleren stuwkrachtrichting
De bewegingsrichting van de boot dient overeen te komen met de
bewegingsrichting van de betreende drukknop. U moet dit voor
ELK paneel controleren! Doe dit voorzichtig en op een veilige locatie.

Indien de beweging van de boot tegengesteld is aan de
bewegingsrichting, behorend bij de betreende drukknop,
moet dit worden aangepast door de bedrading van BOW PB-1
en BOW PB-2 (STERN PB-1 en STERN PB-2) om te wisselen.

4.6 Conguratie van meerdere bedieningspanelen
1. Zet het paneel in conguratiemodus.
• Druk beide knoppen, BOW PB-1 en BOW PB-2, in en houd deze 10
seconden ingedrukt.
Gedurende de eerste 6 seconden knippert LED (1) blauw en geeft de
zoemer voortdurend een signaal didididididi..... (. . . . . . .), blijf de‘AAN/
UIT’ knop ingedrukt houden. Na 10 seconden geeft de zoemer het
signaal dididididah ( . . . . - ). Laat de knoppen los.
2. Druk twee keer, tegelijkertijd, op beide knoppen BOW PB-1 en
BOW PB-2.
Led (1) knippert blauw en u hoort het signaal, di-dah-di ( . - . ). Het
paneel staat nu in conguratiemodus.
Maximaal vier bediengingspanelen kunnen worden gecongureerd
(Groepscode A, B, C of D). Gebruik één groepscode per bedienings-
paneel.
Voer in de aangegeven volgorde, op ELK extra paneel, onderstaan-
de handelingen uit:
Schakel het paneel uit, zie 4.4, en wacht 5 seconden voor te starten
met onderstaande conguratie procedure.

3. Druk kort op BOW PB-1 of BOW PB-2 om de groepscode van het
bedieningspaneel in te stellen. Herhaal dit totdat de gewenste
groep is geselecteerd.
De kleuren van de led's geven de groepscode van het bedienings-
paneel aan.

4. Druk één keer, tegelijkertijd, op beide knoppen BOW PB-1 en BOW
PB-2 om de instelling te bevestigen.

4.7 Fabrieksinstellingen herstellen
Schakel het te herstellen bedieningspanelen uit (zie 4.4) en voer de
volgende handelingen uit:
• Druk beide knoppen BOW PB-1 en BOW PB-2 in en houd deze 30
seconden ingedrukt.
Na 15 sec gaat de rode led knipperen. Na 30 sec gaat de blauwe led
aan.
• Laat beide knoppen los.
• Druk één keer, tegelijkertijd, op beide knoppen BOW PB-1 en BOW
PB-2 om het herstelproces te bevestigen.

2 Introduction
This manual provides guidelines for the installation of the VETUS
bow and stern thruster interface CANVXCSP. With the CANVXCSP,
pushbuttons (momentary switch, NO contact) for operating a bow or
stern thruster, for example via the buttons on an engine control lever,
can be connected to the VETUS CAN-bus system. Pressing a button
activates maximum thrust.
The quality of the installation is decisive for the proper functioning of
the system. Almost all faults can be traced back to errors or inaccura-
cies during installation. It is therefore imperative that the steps given
in the installation instructions are followed in full during the installa-
tion process and checked afterward.
Alterations made to the bow thruster by the user will void any li-
ability on the part of the manufacturer for any damages that may
result.
• During use ensure the correct battery voltage is available.

Changing over the plus (+) and minus (-) connections will
cause irreparable damage to the installation.

Refer to the appropriate bow or stern thruster installation manual
for detailed CAN-BUS diagrams and conguration of a bow or stern
thruster.
3 Installation
The CANVXCSP interface can be mounted out of sight in a not perma-
nently accessible, ventilated, location.
3.1 Connecting the CAN bus cables
Connect the CAN bus (V-CAN) cables as shown in the following ex-
ample diagram.

3.2 Connecting push buttons and LEDs
note
Refer to the installation diagrams on page 49 and 50
The supplied wiring harness is suitable for controlling a bow thruster.
For installation of a stern thruster, the wiring harness must be ex-
tended.
Connecting a bow thruster
The wiring harness has 8 wires that connect to connector pin 1, 2, 3,
10, 11, 12, 13 and 14.
- Use the "BOW PB-1" labelled cable, 2-wire: pin 2 (brown) and 10
(white) to connect button 1.
- Use the "BOW PB-2" labelled cable, 2-wire: pin 3 (yellow) and 11
(green) to connect button 2.
- Use the "BLUE LED" labelled cable, 2-wire: pin 1(-)/(grey) and
13(+)/(pink) to connect the blue status LED.
- Use the "RED LED" labelled cable, 2wire: pin 12(-)/(red) and 14(+)/
(blue) to connect the red error/warning LED.
4 Checking/test running and configuring the control panels
Connecting a stern thruster
To connect push buttons for stern thruster control, use the following
parts:
- 1 x 4-core cable.
- 4 x connection pin AT62-201-16141-22.
Attach the connection pins to one side of the 4-core cable. Use the
appropriate tools to do this.
Remove the white pins of connection 6, 7, 8 and 9 from the connec-
tor. Insert the wires of the star cable harness into the now free pins.
• Use pins 6 and 8 for connecting "STERN PB-1", button 1.
• Use pins 7 and 9 to connect "STERN PB-2", button 2.
3.3 Specications

4.1 General
Check whether the system is connected correctly. Then switch on the
CAN-bus supply voltage and the supply voltage of the bow and/or
stern thruster.
4.2 Switch on panel

• Press both buttons, BOW PB-1 and BOW PB-2, simultaneously.
The blue LED will ash and you will hear a repeating signal, di-di-
di ( . . . ).
• Within 6 seconds the buttons must be pressed again. The blue led
will now remain on; the buzzer conrms with the signal, dahdidah
(- . -), that the panel is ready for use.
If a second panel is connected, the LED on the inactive panel will
ash (two short blue ashes every second, heartbeat).
4.3 Taking over panel control
To transfer control from the active panel to a non-active panel, follow
the instructions in paragraph 4.1.
4.4 Switch o panel
• Hold down both buttons, BOW PB-1 and BOW PB-2, until all LEDs
are o and you hear the signal, di-di-di-dah-dah ( . . . - - ).
The control panel is switched o.
• When disembarking, switch o the battery master switch.
4.5 Checking thrust direction
The direction of movement of the boat must correspond to the di-
rection of movement of the respective push button. You must check
this for EVERY panel! Do this carefully and in a safe location.

If the movement of the boat is opposite to the direction of
movement corresponding to the respective push button, this
must be corrected by changing the wiring of BOW PB-1 and

4.6 Conguration of multiple control panels
Up to four control panels can be congured (Group Code A, B, C or D).
Use one group code per control panel.
On ANY additional panel, perform the following actions in the or-
der indicated:
Switch o the panel, see 4.4, and wait 5 seconds before starting the
conguration procedure below.
1. Put the panel in conguration mode.
• Press and hold both buttons, BOW PB-1 and BOW PB-2, for 10 sec-
onds.
During the rst 6 seconds, LED (1) ashes blue and the buzzer will
continuously signal a didididididi ..... (. . . .). Keep pressing the "ON /
OFF" button. After 10 seconds the buzzer sounds the signal didididi-
dah (. . . - -). Release the buttons.
2. Press both buttons BOW PB-1 and BOW PB-2 twice simultane-
ously.
Led (1) ashes blue and you hear the signal, di-dah-di ( . - . ).The panel
is now in conguration mode.

3. Short press BOW PB-1 or BOW PB-2 to set the control panel group
code. Repeat until the desired group is selected.
The colours of the LEDs indicate the group code of the control panel.

4. Press both BOW PB-1 and BOW PB-2 buttons once, simultaneous-
ly, to conrm the setting.
4.7 Restore factory settings
Switch o the control panel to be restored (see 4.4) and perform the
following actions:
• Press and hold both buttons BOW PB-1 and BOW PB-2 for 30 sec.
After 15 sec, the red LED starts ashing. After 30 sec, the blue LED
comes on.
• Release both buttons.
• Press both buttons BOW PB-1 and BOW PB-2 once, simultaneous-
ly, to conrm the recovery process.
