FEATURES
The Salem 5-in-1 Turntable is ready to play your vinyl records & listen to your favorite radio stations
with the built in 3-Speed Turntable & AM/FM Radio! The Dual Bluetooth feature allows streaming of
your vinyl records to an external Bluetooth Speaker or plays music from your Smart Device through
the Salem's built in Speakers. The 3.5mm Aux Input & RCA Audio Outputs allow for even more
additional Playback options!

SETUP & BASIC OPERATION
Powering on the Unit
1. Connect the power adaptor to an AC outlet.
2. Turn on the unit by turning the POWER/VOL knob and the power LED indicator lights up. Your
system is now ready to play your music. Please refer to the Operations section of this manual
for details.
CONNECTING TO BLUETOOTH®
You can connect to the VHRP-1300 via Bluetooth® and use as a speaker system for external
devices.
Bluetooth In
1. Turn the Function switch to the Bluetooth® In mode. You will hear a voice notification and the
blue LED will begin flashing.
2. On your external device search for the Bluetooth® device named “VICTOR VHRP-1300” and
select it. You will hear another voice notification indicating you have connected successfully.
You can connect the VHRP-1300 via Bluetooth® to external speakers or headphones.
Bluetooth Out
1. Turn the Function switch to the Bluetooth® Out mode.
2. Put your external device (speakers, headphones, etc.) into pairing mode. The LED light flashes
slowly while the connection is searching. The LED light stays on after the connection is
successful. Then you can transmit turntable/AUX audio signal.
LISTENING TO RADIO
Manual Tuning
1. Turn on the unit with the POWER/VOL knob and slide the Function switch to the TUNER
position.
2. Turn the TUNING knob to tune to a radio station. The FM frequency pointer indicates the
current FM frequency (station).
3. Adjust the POWER/VOL knob to change the volume level.

PLAYING A RECORD IN PHONO MODE
Before First Use:
● Remove the stylus protector.
● Make sure the tone arm is unlocked and free to move from the tone arm rest prior to operating.
● Lock the tone arm again when not in use.
Playing a Record
1. Slide the Function switch to the PHONO position.
2. Raise the turntable dust cover.
3. Place the record on the turntable. Use the 45 RPM adaptor if you are playing 45 RPM records.
4. Set the speed selector to the proper position for the record you are playing.
5. Lift the tone arm from the rest and slowly move it over the record. The turntable begins spinning.
6. Place the tone arm down onto the record in the location you wish to play.
7. Adjust the POWER/VOL knob to change the volume.
8. When the tone arm reaches the endo of the record, the play automatically stops.
9. To stop playing manually, lift the tone arm from the record and return it to the rest.
Note: Some types of records may have an auto-stop area outside of the preset limit, so the turntable may
stop before the last track finishes. In this case, set the AUTO-STOP switch to the “OFF” position. This
allows the record to play to the end, but please notice that it will not stop automatically. You must manually
raise the tone arm and place it back on the rest and then turn off the power to stop the turntable from
spinning.
AUX IN CONNECTION
You can listen to an external audio source through this unit. With a 3.5mm audio cable (not included),
connect the AUX-IN jack on this unit to the audio output on an external device such as a Disc/MP3 player.
1. Once plug the 3.5mm audio cable in the AUX IN jack, the unit will switch to AUX mode
automatically and start to play your external audio device.
2. Adjust the POWER/VOL knob to change volume.
RCA LINE OUT CONNECTION
You can output audio from this unit to an external audio system.
1. With an RCA cable (not included), connect the LINE OUT sockets on this unit to the audio input on
an external device such as a Hi-Fi/amplifier system.
2. Play audio on the unit in the desired mode.
3. Use the volume and equalizer controls on your external system to control volume.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
Maintaining the Turntable Needle (“Stylus”)
To extend the life of your stylus, dust the stylus occasionally with a very soft brush dipped in rubbing
alcohol, brushing from the back to the front of the cartridge.
Maintaining Vinyl Records
To maximize sound quality and extend the life of your vinyl records, it is recommended you clean your
records with an anti-static cloth after every use.
Transporting the Turntable
1. Place the protective cap on the stylus.
2. Put the rest clip into the pick-up arm.
3. Ensure the case is closed and the latch is secure.
Installing or Replacing the Stylus
The stylus needs to be replaced periodically. It is recommended the stylus be replaced after 250
hours of play. To install a new stylus or replace the existing stylus, follow the steps below:
Push the arm lock to
release the tonearm.
Remove the cartridge cap
to expose the needle.
Gently separate the
cartridge from the socket.
Remove the audio-line
from the cartridge.
Align the audio-line with
the new cartridge.
Insert the audio-line into
the new cartridge.
Gently insert the cartridge
into the socket.
Attach the cartridge cap.
NOTE: Please exercise extreme care whilst performing this operation to avoid the tone arm and audio line wires from
any damage.

Re-Attaching the Turntable Drive Belt
If your turntable fails to revolve, the drive belt may have come detached. Follow the steps below to
reattach the turntable drive belt:
Step 1
Remove the turntable anti-slip mat from the platter. Looking
through one of the holes in the platter, check if the belt has indeed
come off the turntable pulley.
Use a screwdriver to remove the black iron ‘C’-clip (iron binder)
and lift the turntable off the Turntable mechanism.
Step 2
Retrieve the detached black rubber band (the drive belt) and place
it around the platter base - then pull the belt out gently from
underneath the platter without overstretching.
Turn the platter over while holding on to the belt.
Step 3
Looking through one of the holes in the platter, locate the small
Brass Pulley (the pulley is attached to the turntable motor). Then
proceed to hook the pulled-out part of the rubber belt by hand
around the Pulley and then line up the center of the platter with
the silver turntable spindle.
Lower the platter gently onto the deck and let go until it is back in
position.
Step 4
When the turntable platter is in the correct position, check the belt
is still around the pulley and then replace the ‘C’-clip to secure the
turntable to the spindle.
Step 5
Place the turntable anti-slip mat on the platter. Use the turntable
as normal to confirm the turntable now revolves appropriately.

OPERACION BASICA Y AJUSTES
Encender la unidad
1. Insertar la salida del adaptador de ca/cc al conector de entrada de alimentación “Vcc” del
tocadiscos, entonces conectar el adaptador de ca/cc al tomacorriente.
2. Girar el “Interruptor / Control de Volumen” en sentido de las manecillas del reloj y el led
indicador de poder se enciende. Ahora el sistema está listo para la reproducción de la música.
Favor de referirse a la sección de Operación de este manual para los detalles.
CONEXION BLUETOOTH®
Puede conectar el Sistema VHRP-1300 a través de Bluetooth® y usarlo como un sistema de bocinas
para dispositivos externos
Conexión Bluetooth® Entrada
1. Colocar el “Selector de Función” en el modo de Bluetooth-In. El sistema emitirá una
notificación de voz y el led azul empezará a destellar.
2. En el dispositivo externo, activar la función de Bluetooth y la búsqueda de dispositivos.
Seleccionar “VICTOR VHRP-1300”, escuchara otra notificación de voz indicando que la
conexión ha sido satisfactoria.
Puede conectar ahora el sistema VHRP-1300 a través de Bluetooth® a bocinas, auriculares o
audífonos externos con función Bluetooth®.
Conexión Bluetooth® Salida
1. Colocar el “Selector de Función” en el modo de Bluetooth-out”.
2. Colocar el dispositivo externo (bocina, auriculares, audífonos, etc.) en modo de sincronía. El
led azul destella lentamente cuando se busca la conexión. El led permanece encendido
cuando la conexión es satisfactoria. Ahora ya puede transmitir señal de audio
“Tocadisco/AUX”
OPERACIÓN DEL RADIO
Sintonía Manual
1. Colocar el “Selector de Función” en el modo de Radio “TUNER”, Girar el “Interruptor / Control
de Volumen” en sentido de las manecillas del reloj para encender el sistema.
2. Girar la “Perilla de Sintonía” para sintonizar la estación de Radio deseada. El Dial de
frecuencia FM indica la frecuencia actual de FM (estación).
3. Girar el “Interruptor / Control de Volumen” para ajustar el volumen al nivel deseado.

REPRODUCCION DE UN DISCO
Antes del primer uso:
● Remover el protector de la aguja.
● Asegurarse que el brazo fonocaptor este desbloqueado y libre para moverse desde el soporte antes de
operar.
● Colocar el brazo fonocaptor en el soporte u bloquearlo cuando no esté en uso.
Reproducción de un Disco
1. Colocar el “Selector de Función” en la posición de Disco “PHONO”
2. Levantar la cubierta antipolvo
3. Colocar el disco sobre la base del tocadiscos. Usar el adaptador de 45 rpm si va a reproducir un disco
grabado en 45 rpm.
4. Colocar el selector de velocidad en la posición adecuada de acuerdo al disco a reproducir.
5. Levantar el brazo fonocaptor del soporte y moverlo lentamente sobre el disco. La base del disco
comienza a girar.
6. Colocar la aguja del fonocaptor sobre el punto del disco donde desea iniciar la reproducción.
7. Girar el “Interruptor / Control de Volumen” para ajustar el volumen al nivel deseado.
8. Cuando el brazo fonocaptor alcanza el final del disco, la reproducción se detiene automáticamente, si
el interruptor de “Detención Automática” en la posición "Encendido" ON
9. Para detener la reproducción manualmente, levantar el brazo fonocaptor y colocarlo en el soporte
Nota: Algunos tipos de discos pueden tener un área de detención automática fuera del límite preestablecido,
por lo que el tocadiscos puede detenerse antes de que finalice la última pista. En este caso, colocar el
interruptor de “Detención Automática” en la posición "Apagado" OFF. Esto permite que el disco se reproduzca
hasta el final, pero tenga en cuenta que no se detendrá automáticamente. Debe levantar manualmente el
brazo fonocaptor y colocarlo nuevamente sobre el soporte y luego apagar el sistema para detener el giro del
tocadiscos.
ENTRADA AUXILIAR
Puede escuchar una fuente de audio externa a través de este sistema. Con un cable de audio de Ø 3.5 mm
(no incluido), conectar la salida de audio de un dispositivo externo, como un reproductor de disco/MP3 al
conector de entrada auxiliar del sistema
1. Una vez que conecte el cable de audio de 3,5 mm en el conector AUX IN, la unidad cambiará
automáticamente al modo AUX y comenzará a reproducir su dispositivo de audio externo.
2. Girar el “Interruptor / Control de Volumen” para ajustar el volumen al nivel deseado.
CONEXION DE LA SALIDA DE LINEA RCA
Puede enviar audio desde esta unidad a un sistema de audio externo.
1. Con un cable RCA (no incluido), conectar las salidas RAC de esta unidad a la entrada de audio de un
dispositivo externo, como un sistema Hi-Fi/amplificador.
2. Reproducir el audio en la unidad en el modo deseado.
3. Usar los controles de volumen y ecualización del Sistema externo para controlar el volumen.

CUIDADO Y MANTENIMIENTO
Mantenimiento de la aguja del tocadiscos
Para prolongar la vida útil de la aguja fonocaptora, limpiar de vez en cuando con un cepillo suave
humedecido en alcohol, cepillando desde la parte posterior hacia el frente del cartucho.
Mantenimiento de discos de vinil
Para maximizar la calidad del sonido y prolongar la vida útil de los discos de vinil, se recomienda
limpiarlos con un paño antiestático después de cada uso.
Transporte del tocadiscos
1. Colocar la tapa protectora del fonocaptor.
2. Coloque el clip de descanso en el brazo y soporte.
3. Asegurarse que la caja esté cerrada y el clip esté seguro.
Instalación o reemplazo de la aguja fonocaptora
La aguja fonocaptora debe reemplazarse periódicamente. Se recomienda reemplazarla después de
250 horas de operación. Para instalar o reemplazar la aguja fonocaptora, seguir los pasos a
continuación:
Empujar el Seguro del
brazo para liberarlo.
Retire la tapa del cartucho
para exponer la aguja
Separar con cuidado el
cartucho del soporte
Remover la línea de audio
del cartucho
Alinear la línea de audio
con el nuevo cartucho.
Insertar la línea de audio
en el nuevo cartucho.
Insertar scon cuidado el
cartucho en el soporte
Colocar la tapa del
cartucho
NOTA: Tener mucho cuidado al realizar esta operación para evitar que se dañen los cables de la línea de audio y el
brazo fonocaptor.

Volver a colocar la correa de transmisión del tocadiscos
Si el tocadiscos no gira, es posible que la correa de transmisión se haya desprendido. Seguir los
pasos a continuación para volver a colocar la correa de transmisión del tocadiscos:
Paso 1
Remover la alfombra antideslizante de la base giratoria. Observar a
través de los orificios de la base si la banda elástica se ha soltado
de la polea de la base.
Usar un desarmador para quitar el seguro negro en “C” y levantar
la base del tocadiscos
Paso 2
Recuperar la banda elástica negra desprendida (la correa de
transmisión) y colocarla alrededor de la base del plato; luego jalar
de la correa con cuidado desde abajo del plato sin estirarla
demasiado.
Voltear la base mientras sujeta el cinturón.
Paso 3
Observando a través de uno de los orificios de la base, localizar la
polea de latón pequeña (la polea está unida al motor del plato
giratorio). Enganchar la parte extraída de la banda elástica con la
mano alrededor de la polea y luego alinear el centro de la base con
el eje plateado del plato giratorio.
Bajar la base suavemente sobre la plataforma y soltarla hasta que
vuelva a su posición.
Paso 4
Cuando la base giratoria está en la posición correcta, verificar que
la banda elástica esté alrededor de la polea y vuelva a colocar el
seguro en 'C' para asegurar la base giratoria al eje.
Paso 5
Colocar la alfombra antideslizante de la base giratoria. Utilice la
base giratoria normalmente para confirmar que ahora gira
correctamente.
