Consignes de sécurité générales
Choix de l’outil
Utiliser l’outil adéquat.
Ne pas utiliser les outils à des fins autres que les travaux pour lesquels ils ont été conçus.
Entretien et stockage
Ranger vos outils dans un endroit sûr. Les outils non utilisés doivent être rangés dans un endroit sec et
fermé, hors de portée des enfants.
Entretenir vos outils soigneusement. Maintenir vos outils propres afin de travailler mieux et plus
sûrement.
Observer les indications relatives à l’entretien ainsi que les indications de changement d’accessoires.
Maintenir les poignées sèches et exemptes d’huile et de graisse.
Contrôler si l’outil est endommagé. Avant d’utiliser l’outil, vérifier toujours soigneusement le parfait
fonctionnement des pièces.
Vérifier si le fonctionnement des pièces en mouvement est correct, si elles ne se grippent pas ou si
d’autres pièces sont endommagées. Tous les composants doivent être montés correctement et remplir
les conditions pour garantir le fonctionnement impeccable de l’outil. Tout dispositif de sécurité, tout
interrupteur ou toute autre pièce endommagé ou défectueux doit être réparé ou remplacé de manière
appropriée par un technicien qualifié.
Attention ! Veiller à utiliser l’outil et ses accessoires conformément aux instructions de sécurité. Tenir
compte également des possibilités de l’outil en prêtant attention aux conditions de travail et à la tâche à
exécuter. L’utilisation de l’outil pour des tâches autres que celles prévues risque d’être dangereuse.
Cet outil est conforme aux règles de sécurité en vigueur. Toutes les réparations doivent être effectuées
par des professionnels qualifiés avec des pièces détachées d’origine, faute de quoi l’utilisation de l’outil
peut représenter un danger pour l’utilisateur et annuler la garantie.
Instructions de sécurité pour l’utilisateur :
Tenir les enfants éloignés. Ne pas permettre que d’autres personnes touchent l’outil ; les tenir éloignés
de votre aire de travail.
Porter des vêtements de travail appropriés. Ne pas porter des vêtements larges ou des bijoux ; ils
pourraient être happés par des pièces en mouvement. Lors de travaux à l’air libre, il est recommandé de
porter des gants en caoutchouc et des chaussures à semelle antidérapante. Se coiffer d’un filet à
cheveux s’ils sont longs.
Ne pas trop élargir votre rayon d’action. Eviter d’adopter une position fatigante pour le corps ; veiller à ce
que votre appui au sol soit ferme et conserver l’équilibre à tout moment.
Etre toujours attentif. Observer votre travail, agir en faisant preuve de bon sens et ne pas employer l’outil
lorsque vous êtes fatigué.

d’accident.

Utilisation
Le contrôleur peut être utilisé dans son sac ou hors de son sac. La poche arrière permet de
stocker le flexible et les divers raccords.
Mettre en place la pile comme indiqué sur la photo en respectant les polarités.
S’assurer que la canalisation à tester est hors gaz.
Fermer tous les organes de coupure terminaux (pour les installations intérieures, il s’agit des
robinets de commande des appareils).
Ouvrir tous les organes de coupure intermédiaires.
Visser le raccord approprié sur le circuit à tester, brancher ensuite le contrôleur et son flexible
en serrant à la main les parties moletées. (Ne pas oublier d’utiliser les joints fournis).
Appuyer sur le bouton jusqu’à obtenir la pression de service de la canalisation, le contrôleur
limite automatiquement la pression maxi à environ 45mbar* Une installation de 20 litres de
volume monte en pression en moins de 2 minutes.
Pour affiner la pression d’épreuve, desserrer légèrement une des parties moletées du flexible.
Laisser un temps de stabilisation en fonction du gaz utilisé (butane/propane : 10 minutes, gaz
de réseau : non préconisé)
Superposer l’index mobile rouge sur l’aiguille du manomètre et attendez 10 minutes. Pendant
cette période, l’aiguille noire ne doit pas dévier de sa position de début d’essai. Si tel est le
cas, l’installation est considérée comme étanche. Si une chute de pression est constatée, il y
a une fuite sur la canalisation ou le contrôleur est mal raccordé. Employer le détecteur de fuite
VIRAX Réf. 262630 pour localiser la fuite et renouveler l’opération de contrôle après avoir
réparé la section défectueuse.

Entretien
Nettoyer le contrôleur uniquement avec de l’eau savonneuse.
Stockage
En cas de non utilisation prolongée, retirez la pile du contrôleur. Le contrôleur doit être stocké
hors gel.

Monter une pile alcaline 1,5 Volts type AA –
LR6 neuve comme indiqué sur la photo en
respectant les polarités. Si le problème
persiste, retourner le contrôleur au SAV
VIRAX.

Défaut d’étanchéité des raccords
Vérifier le serrage des raccords (les parties
moletées doivent être serrés à la main).
Le flexible est endommagé
Plier l’extrémité libre du flexible et contrôler la
montée en pression, renouveler l’opération en
inversant l’extrémité connectée au contrôleur.
Le contrôleur est endommagé (chute…)
Vérifier le fonctionnement du contrôleur en
vissant un bouchon de valve de véhicule en
lieu et place du flexible. Si le contrôleur ne
monte pas en pression, retourner le au SAV
VIRAX.
Garantie
Le contrôleur est garanti 2 ans à l’exception de la pile et du flexible.
Les dégâts provoqués par la fuite d’une pile non conforme sont exclus de la garantie.

Safety instructions
Read and keep these instructions.
General safety instructions
Choosing the tool
Always use the correct tool for the job.
Do not use tools for any other purpose than that for which they have been designed.
Maintenance and storage
Store your tools in a safe place. When not in use, tools should be stored in a dry, closed
place, out of reach of children.
Carefully maintain your tools. Keep them clean for better and safer performance.
Follow the maintenance instructions as well as the recommendations regarding the
changing of accessories.
Keep the handles dry and free of oil or grease.
Check the tool for damage. Before using the tool, always carefully check that its various
parts are operating properly.
Check for incorrect operation of moving parts, seizing of moving parts and breakage of
parts. Check for proper mounting of all parts and any other conditions that may prevent the
perfect operation of the tool. Any guard, switch or other part that is damaged or defective
should be properly repaired or replaced by a qualified technician.
Warning! Use the tool and its accessories in accordance with these safety instructions. Also
remain within the limits of the tool, taking into account the working conditions and the task
to be performed. Using tools for other than the intended tasks can be dangerous.
This tool is in accordance with all the relevant safety rules. All repairs must be performed by
qualified persons using original manufacturer's spare parts. Failure to do so may be
dangerous for the user and cancel the warranty.
User safety instructions:
Keep children away from the tools. Do not allow other people to touch the tool. Keep them
away from your work area.
Wear appropriate clothing. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery, as they can be caught in
moving parts. Rubber gloves and non-slip footwear are recommended when working out of
doors. Long hair should be worn in a hair net.
Do not overreach. Avoid adopting a tiring position. Keep proper footing and balance at all
times.
Be constantly alert. Pay attention to the task, use common sense and do not operate the
tool when tired.
Safety instructions regarding the work area
Keep the work area tidy. A cluttered work area increases the risk of injury.
Consider the work area environment.
Keep the work area well lit.

Use
The controller can be used in its bag or out of its bag. The rear pocket allows the hose and the
various couplings to be stored.
Put the battery in position as indicated in the photograph, with the correct polarities.
Ensure that the gas supply to the pipe for testing is turned off.
Close all the end circuit valves (for domestic installations, these are valves of the gas
appliances).
Open all the secondary or intermediate valves.
Screw the appropriate coupling on to the circuit for testing, then connect the controller and its
hose by tightening the knurled parts by hand. (Do not forget to use the supplied joints).
Press the button until the service pressure of the pipe is obtained; the controller automatically
limits the max. pressure to approximately 45mbar*. A 20-litre volume installation is pressurised
in less than 2 minutes.
To refine the test pressure, slightly untighten one of the knurled parts of the hose. Leave to
stabilise for a time, according to the gas used (butane/propane: 10 minutes, network gas: not
recommended)
Place the moving red pointer over the needle of the manometer and wait for 10 minutes.
During this period the black needle must not move from its position at the start of the test. If
this is the case, the installation is considered to be sealed. If a drop in pressure is observed,
there is a leak in the pipe or the checker is improperly connected. Use VIRAX leak detector
Ref. 262630 to locate the leak and repeat the checking operation after repairing the defective
section.

Maintenance
Clean the controller only with soapy water.
Storage
In the event of prolonged non-use, remove the battery from the controller. The controller must be
stored in a frost-free place.
Diagnostics and repairs
The pump does not operate
Diagnostics:
Problem-solving:
The battery is defective or improperly installed.
Install a new 1.5 Volt alkaline battery type AA –
LR6 as indicated in the photograph, with the
correct polarities. If the problem persists, return
the cotroller to VIRAX After-Sales Service.
The pump operates but does not pressurise
Diagnostics:
Problem-solving:
Sealing fault in the couplings
Check the tightening of the couplings. (the
knurled parts must be tightened by hand)
The hose is damaged
Fold the free end of the hose and check the
pressurisation; repeat the operation by
reversing the end connected to the controller.
The checker is damaged (in a fall for example)
Check the operation of the controller by
screwing a vehicle valve stopper in place of the
hose. If the controller does not pressurise
return it to VIRAX After-Sales Service.
Guarantee
The controller is guaranteed for 2 years except for the battery and the hose.
Damage caused by leakage of a non-compliant battery is excluded from the guarantee.

Allgemeine Sicherheitsanweisungen
Wahl des Werkzeugs
Wählen Sie das geeignete Werkzeug.
Verwenden Sie Werkzeuge nicht zu anderen Zwecken als zu den Arbeiten, für die sie bestimmt sind.
Wartung und Lagerung
Bewahren Sie Ihre Werkzeuge an einem sicheren Ort auf. Nicht verwendete Werkzeuge müssen an
einem trockenen und verschlossenen Ort aufbewahrt werden, außer Reichweite von Kindern.

Funktion des Werkzeugs erfüllen. Jede Sicherheitseinrichtung, jeder Schalter oder jedes andere Teil
müssen, wenn sie beschädigt oder defekt sind, in geeigneter Weise von einem qualifizierten Fachmann
repariert oder ersetzt werden.
Achtung! Achten Sie darauf, das Werkzeug und sein Zubehör entsprechend den
Sicherheitsbestimmungen zu verwenden. Berücksichtigen Sie auch die Möglichkeiten des Werkzeugs,
indem Sie auf die Arbeitsbedingungen und die auszuführende Arbeit achten. Der Gebrauch des
Werkzeugs zu anderen Aufgaben als den vorgesehenen könnte gefährlich sein.
Dieses Werkzeug entspricht den geltenden Sicherheitsvorschriften. Alle Reparaturen müssen von
qualifizierten Fachleuten mit Original-Ersatzteilen durchgeführt werden; sonst kann der Gebrauch des
Werkzeugs eine Gefahr für den Anwender darstellen und die Garantie aufheben.
Sicherheitsanweisungen für den Anwender:
Halten sie Kinder fern. Erlauben Sie nicht, dass andere Personen das Werkzeug berühren; halten Sie sie
aus Ihrem Arbeitsbereich.
Tragen Sie geeignete Arbeitskleidung. Tragen Sie keine weite Kleidung oder Schmuck; sie könnten von
bewegten Teilen erfasst werden. Bei Arbeiten im Freien wird empfohlen, Gummihandschuhe und
Schuhe mit rutschfesten Sohlen zu tragen. Bei langen Haaren ein Harrnetz tragen.
Breiten Sie Ihren Arbeitsbereich nicht zu weit aus. Vermeiden Sie es, eine körperlich ermüdende
Stellung einzunehmen; achten Sie auf festen Stand und bewahren Sie jederzeit das Gleichgewicht.
Seien Sie immer aufmerksam. Achten Sie auf Ihre Arbeit; handeln Sie mit Umsicht und verwenden Sie
das Werkzeug nicht, wenn Sie ermüdet sind.

Einsatz
Das Kontrollgerät kann in seiner Tasche oder außerhalb seiner Tasche verwendet werden.
Das hintere Fach gestattet es, den Schlauch und die einzelnen Anschlüsse unterzubringen.
Batterie wie auf dem Foto gezeigt unter Beachtung der Polaritäten einlegen.
Sich vergewissern, dass die zu testende Leitung nicht unter Gas steht.
Alle Anschlüsse der Endgeräte abschließen (für interne Installationen betrifft es die
Führungshähne der Geräte)
Alle Zwischen-Trenn- und Absperrorgane aufmachen
Den richtigen Anschluss an die zu testende Leitung schrauben, dann das Kontrollgerät und
seinen Schlauch anschließen, indem Sie die gerieften Teile von Hand anziehen. (Mitgelieferte
Dichtungen nicht vergessen).
So lange auf den Knopf drücken, bis Sie den Betriebsdruck der Leitung erhalten; das
Kontrollgerät begrenzt den Höchstdruck automatisch auf ca. 45 mbar*. Eine Anlage mit 20 Liter
Volumen weist in weniger als zwei Minuten einen Druckanstieg aus.
Um den Prüfdruck genau einzustellen, die gerieften Teile des Schlauchs leicht lockern. Je
nach dem verwendeten Gas eine Stabilisierungszeit einhalten (Butan/Propan: 10 Minuten,
Stadtgas: keine Empfehlung).
Roten mobilen Index über der Nadel des Manometers anordnen und 10 Minuten warten. In
dieser Zeit darf die schwarze Nadel nicht von ihrer anfänglichen Prüfposition abweichen.
Wenn das der Fall ist, kann die Installation als dicht betrachtet werden. Liegt jedoch ein
Druckabfall vor, weist die Leitung ein Leck auf oder das Kontrollgerät ist nicht richtig
angeschlossen. VIRAX-Lecksucher, Ref. 262630, benutzen, um das Leck zu lokalisieren.
Kontrollvorgang nach Reparatur der schadhaften Stelle wiederholen.

Wartung
Kontrollgerät ausschließlich mit Seifenwasser reinigen.
Lagerung
Wenn das Kontrollgerät längere Zeit nicht benutzt wird, Batterie herausnehmen. Gerät vor Frost
geschützt lagern.
Diagnose und Reparaturen
Die Pumpe funktioniert nicht

Die Batterie ist schadhaft oder falsch
angeordnet.
Eine neue 1,5-V-Alkalibatterie, Typ AA –LR6,
wie auf dem Foto gezeigt unter Einhaltung der
Polaritäten einlegen. Hält das Problem an,
Kontrollgerät an den VIRAX-Kundendienst
zurückschicken.
Die Pumpe funktioniert, aber der Druck steigt nicht

Schlauch beschädigt

Kontrollgerät beschädigt (gefallen …)
Funktionsweise des Kontrollgeräts prüfen,
indem man einen Autoventilverschluss anstelle
des Schlauchs aufschraubt. Steigt der Druck
des Kontrollgeräts nicht an, dieses an den
VIRAX-Kundendienst zurückschicken.
Garantie
Das Kontrollgerät hat eine Garantie von zwei Jahren, mit Ausnahme der Batterien und des
Schlauchs.
Die durch das Auslaufen einer nicht konformen Batterie hervorgerufenen Schäden sind von der
Garantie ausgeschlossen.

Utilizar la herramienta adecuada
Utilizar las herramientas sólo para los trabajos para los cuales han sido diseñadas.
Mantenimiento y almacenamiento
Guarde sus herramientas en un lugar seguro. Las herramientas que no se utilizan deben mantenerse en
un lugar seco y cerrado, fuera del alcance de los niños.
Dar cuidadoso mantenimiento a las herramientas. Conservar sus herramientas limpias con el fin de
trabajar mejor y con más seguridad.
Observar las indicaciones relativas al mantenimiento y las indicaciones sobre cambio de accesorios.
Mantener las asas secas y libres de aceite y grasa.
Controlar si la herramienta se encuentra dañada. Antes de utilizarla, verificar siempre cuidadosamente

Verificar si el funcionamiento de las piezas en movimiento es el correcto, si no se agarrotan o si otras
piezas están dañadas. Todos los componentes deben estar montados correctamente y cumplir las
condiciones para garantizar el funcionamiento impecable de la herramienta. Todos los dispositivos de
seguridad, interruptores o cualquier otra pieza dañada o defectuosa debe ser reparada o reemplazada
como corresponda, por un técnico cualificado.

Llevar ropa de trabajo apropiada. No llevar ropa amplia o joyas que pudieran ser enganchadas por las
piezas en movimiento. Si se trabaja al aire libre, se recomienda llevar guantes de caucho y calzado con
suela antideslizante. Mantener el pelo dentro de una malla si se usa largo.
No ampliar demasiado su radio de acción. Evitar adoptar una posición fatigante para el cuerpo: cuidar
que su apoyo sobre el suelo sea firme y conservar en todo momento el equilibrio.
Mantenerse siempre atento. Observar su trabajo, actuar dando pruebas de sentido común y no emplear
la herramienta cuando está fatigado.
