Installation of the Monitor
This monitor is designed to be mounted onto a dashboard and is supplied with the
appropriate mounting bracket. The mounting bracket has a sticky backing pad to hold it in
position whilst screws are inserted to securely locate the bracket.
Fitting the Monitor onto the mounting bracket.
First remove the insert from the bracket by pushing down the locking lever and lifting out
the insert. Next loosen the screw on the insert so that the square nut can be slid into the
channel on the back of the Monitor. Then slide the insert to the desired position and
tighten screw before finally clipping the insert back into the mounting bracket.
Connecting Options
This Monitor is compatible with all cameras supplied by Vision PLUS and can be
connected to 1 or 2 wired cameras
A schematic wiring diagram for connecting 1 or 2 wired cameras is shown above.
Connecting the system to turn on with reverse
Connecting the blue wire on the monitor harness to a +12/24 Volts supply that is switched
on when reverse gear is selected (e.g. Reversing Lights) will automatically turn the monitor
on (if not already on) and display the image from camera 1 (AV1 input).
Connecting the green wire will do the same as above but switches on camera 2 (AV2
input). If both green and blue wires are connected to a 12/24 Volt supply, camera 2 (green
wire) takes priority.
Connecting the system as an always-on rear view system
Connect the red and black power supply wires to switch with ignition power supply that
can supply at least 1 amp.
There is no need to connect the green or blue wires on the monitor harness. Use the AV
button on the front of the monitor to switch cameras.

Notes on Connecting Cameras
This Monitor provides the power to the
cameras through the AV lead.
All VISION PLUS cameras are supplied
with an 8-pin slimline connector that
connects directly onto the AV extension
lead and monitor harness. These require
only a 10mm diameter hole for the
connector to pass through.
VISION PLUS cameras are normally
supplied to provide a mirror image; this
can be changed to normal view on the
monitor.
