to operate this vehicle. Read, understand and follow
the technical content in this manual to protect your
investment and provide years of trouble-free
operation.
A thorough understanding of this manual and its
safety precautions will help prevent the risk of
personal injury or property damage.

SAFETY
Any Modifications or changes to the vehicle that affects stability or handling of
the vehicle or increases the maximum speed can cause serious personal injury
or death.
Modifications to the vehicle must not compromise compliance with state or
federal regulations.
Do not install non-Vivid EV approved accessories or change the vehicle
function to increase speed or power. Modifications or installation of
non-Vivid approved accessories could cause a substantial safety hazard
and increase the risk of bodily injury or property damage.
Modifications may void the warranty. Refer to the warranty for more
details.
Performance characteristics of the vehicle may change because of the
addition of certain accessories, including tires, lifts, ect. Know the
effects of the accessories on your vehicle before returning to service.

SAFETY
Please obey (Danger, Warning, Caution, and Notice) wording in this
manual, as well as obey all instructions, safety precautions and
safety decals on the vehicle. Replace missing or damaged safety
decals immediately to prevent possible property damage or
personal injury, or death.
Understand and follow all laws and regulations for operating the
vehicle in your area.
Always reduce speed when operating in rough terrain or conditions
Always use the brakes to control speed on steep slopes/hills.
Always maintain adequate distance between vehicles around you.
Always reduce speed in wet/Icy roads or areas.
Always use caution entering sharp or blind turns.
Always use extreme caution where pedestrians are present .

State of charge meter (SOC) shows the
percentage of battery life, or State of Charge.

When turning the key switch on, the directional switch must be in neutral, or error
code #82 will appear on the display, and the car will not run. Turn the key off,
place the directional switch in neutral, then turn the key back on.

VEHICLE CONTROLS
Brake Pedal
The Brake pedal is the pedal on the left, when depressed it will apply the
vehicle braking system. The park brake is an electromagnetic motor brake.
It is controlled by the controller (ECU). When the car starts moving the
park brake is released, when the vehicle stops moving and the accelerator
is released the park brake will engage. The park brake will also engage
when voltage is low or lost to prevent rollaway.
The car should not be parked on an incline greater then 20 degrees.
Verify the park brake is set before exiting the vehicle, park brake failure
could lead to property damage or personal injury. Always verify park
brake is engaged.
Accelerator Pedal
The Accelerator pedal is the pedal on the right, it is used to start and
control the speed of the vehicle, use slow and steady pressure. always
release the accelerator pedal before applying the brakes, or damage to the
Motor Controller may occur.
Never stomp the accelerator as the vehicle may take off faster then
intended and cause property damage or personal injury.
Key Switch
Turning the key to the left is the off position and the car will not operate.
Turing the key to the right is the on position and allows the vehicle to
operate when a direction is selected, and the accelerator pedal is
depressed. Also turning the switch on, engages the accessories and
daytime running lights.
The directional switch must be in neutral before turning the key switch
on, or the car will not run. When this happens turn the key off, place the
directional switch to neutral then turn the key on and select your desired
direction. 13

VEHICLE CONTROLS
Directional Switch
Placing the directional switch in the left position (#1) is the Forward direction.
Placing the switch in the right position (#3) is the Reverse direction.
Placing the switch in the middle position (#2) is the Neutral Position.
The switch needs to be in Neutral when turning the key switch on.
Never change the directional switch while the vehicle is moving, as damage
to the speed controller and motor will happen, as well as possible property
damage and personal injury may result.
Hazard switch
The Hazard switch is located below the steering column left of the display; it
is used to engage the 4-way flashing hazard lights.
Turn Signal Switch
The turn signal switch is located on the upper left side of the steering column.
When you select the switch arm up the right-hand turn signal lights on the
vehicle will flash.
When you select the switch arm down, the left-hand turn signal lights on the
vehicle will flash.
When the arm in in the center position it is off.
Horn Switch
The horn switch is located on the turn signal handle, push the button on the
end of the handle to activate.
Headlight Switch
The headlight switch is located on the turn signal handle, rotate the end of
the handle, the first position is rear running lights, second position turns on
headlights, pull the handle up to toggle from low to high beams.
If any of the Vehicle controls do not operate correctly, stop driving the
vehicle and contact your local dealer for repairs, failure to do so could lead
to property damage or personal injury. 14

OPERATING THE VEHICLE
•Operating the vehicle before the passengers are fully
seated and buckled in can cause personal injury.
•Never allow a passenger to hold a child or pet in their
lap while the vehicle is in operation.
•Always verify that all passengers keep their entire
body inside the vehicle while operating, including arms
and legs.
•Sudden turns, stops and take offs can cause loss of
control over the vehicle, always drive safely.
•Do not allow anyone to ride in the bed or in a trailer
being towed, passengers may only ride in provided
seating area and never exceed the number of allowed
passengers.
•Sharp turns at any speed can cause a roll over of the
vehicle, always drive the vehicle slowly in turns.
•Never operate the vehicle in rough or loose terrain.
•Keep away from steep slopes and unstable surfaces,
always drive straight up and down hills, never drive
diagonally up or down hills.
•Unintended vehicle operation that is unsafe or
threatens the safety of others is prohibited.
•Only persons with an authorized license may operate
this vehicle, after understanding the controls.
•Not following any of the above Warnings may result in
property damage or personal injury. 15

OPERATING THE VEHICLE
Before Operating.
Fully charge the batteries before use.
Perform the daily inspection prior to use. If the vehicle has failed any
of the performance inspections, Do not operate the vehicle and
contact your local dealer for repairs to prevent damage or injury.
DAILY INSPECTION
Make sure all passengers are seated, and wearing seat belts if so equipped,
make sure there is no one around you and there is no oncoming traffic, turn
the key switch on, then select your desired direction.
Gently apply the accelerator pedal up to your desired speed, when backing
up, always drive slowly as your view is limited.
To slow down release the accelerator pedal and then apply the brake pedal,
when coming to a stop and leaving the vehicle, always verify the park brake,
put the directional switch into neutral and turn the key off and remove.
When operating the vehicle in turns always turn slowly and not abruptly, slow
down while turning and look for oncoming traffic from blind spots you are
turning into.
Always operate the vehicle in a safe manner and be respectful to other
persons and vehicles around you.
Practice driving the vehicle in safe empty area until you are comfortable with
the controls and operation of the vehicle. 16

OPERATING THE VEHICLE
Slippery Surfaces
When driving on loose gravel, water or ice drive slowly and be cautious
as loss of traction can cause the vehicle to slide or skid out of your
control. Drive slowly and be alert to how the vehicle feels, it is not
recommended to apply the brakes while in a skid/slide. If the back of
your vehicle starts to slide out it is recommended to turn the front
tires in the same direction as the slide to keep the best control of the
vehicle.
Driving Uphill
•Drive straight uphill.
•Avoid steep hills, find another path around.
•Stay away from loose or slippery terrain.
•Drive slowly to keep from losing control of the vehicle.
•Stop when reaching the top of the hill to verify the terrain and if there are
any obstacles or other people in your path.
•Never attempt a hill beyond the vehicle's capabilities or your skill level.
Driving Downhill
•Drive straight down hill.
•Avoid steep hills.
•Stay away from loose or slippery terrain.
•Drive slowly.
•Drive straight down the hill, avoid descending at an angle that could
cause the vehicle to slide or roll over.
•Use light pedal use, too much brake pressure may cause the brakes to
lock up and lose control over the vehicle.
•Never attempt a hill beyond the vehicle's capabilities or your skill level.
•Never Traverse hillsides, the vehicle will be side heavy and might roll over.

Operating a vehicle on a side hill slope is not recommended, if
unavoidable do not exceed 20% slope, decrease vehicle speed, use
extreme caution, never drive on a slope with slippery or loose driving
surfaces. Do not accelerate quickly or lock up the brakes, loss of vehicle
control may occur.

OPERATING THE VEHICLE
Through Water
Driving through water can decrease brake performance, after driving
through water, lightly depress the brake pedal to assess brake
performance, if the brakes have been affected by the water, repeat the
process until brake control has returned.
Driving the vehicle through water in not recommended and should be
avoided.
If there is no way around the water, please follow these precautions:
•Slow your speed down to stop splashing.
•Use extreme caution.
•Do not drive through water more than 3 inches (7.62 cm) deep.
•Water can get into the electronics of the vehicle, caution must be
observed.
•Be aware the standing water might be hiding potholes that might
damage the vehicle.
Hauling Cargo
Hauling cargo can alter how the vehicle will handle, be aware of how
the vehicle operates, never exceed the vehicles maximum weight rating.
Secure the load towards the front and don’t stack high.
Reduce your speeds and do not take sharp turns, give yourself greater
stopping distances. Before operating the vehicle verify the load is
secured and not overloading the vehicle, drive slowly and carefully.
