* The AB101 edge computer and AF101 Thermal
reader come in other packages. The wall-
mount bracket and middle bracket come with
the AF101. The middle bracket is not used.
NOTE:
3When cables are in place, assemble the top section, and drive the flathead
screws on the sides.
The AF101 conguration can not be exposed to direct sunlight.
Assembly the AM814 base plate and AM812 using 2 hex sunkhead screws.
Assemble the top section (AM813) with the stand. Pull the cables (RJ45 Ethernet,
USB, and 12V power jack) through the bottom of the AM813 and through the opening
in the center. You can put the AM813 on top of the stand and place a piece of clothe
underneath to avoid damaging the aluminum surface.
4Secure another 2 screws from the other side. 5Remove the protective sheet from the wall-mount bracket.

6Lay the reader on a clean surface. Remove the bottom mounting plate using the
T10 torx wrench. Keep the anti-tamper screw for later use.

7Install the bracket to the wall-mount bracket by driving 4 cross-head sunkhead
screws. 8Install the bracket assembly to the stand by driving 4 small cross-head hex
screws. Please also pull the cable through the center opening.

9Connect the RJ45 Ethernet and the 12V power jack from the reader with those
on the stand. If preferred, connect the DIDO cable as well. When done, push all
cabling into the center hole.

10 After all cabling connectors passed the center hole, ush align the reader with the
bracket, and slide down. The securing tab in the center will secure the reader’s
position. You can observe from the side while sliding the reader against the
bracket.
11 From the bottom of the reader, secure the installatioin using the T10 anti-tamper
screw you previously removed.

12 Connect an Ethernet cable and 12V power from the included power adapter to the
back of the stand.
Pass each connector one by one
into the center hole. Make sure the
connectors pass the center hole.
Note that the additional USB cables
are currently not used.

13 Connect your devices in the Covid Defender conguration to a local network.

Change your client computer’s IPv4 address to be within the same network of the
IPC (10.0.0.140).
15 Open a browser session to 10.0.0.140. Use the default user/password: admin/
admin. You can now start to congure the defender’s settings. Refer to the user
documentation of your Covid Defender devices for more information.
