PRODUCT ASSEMBLY
For your convenience, PAINT FAST 4X4 comes
pre-assembled; Make sure you have all the pieces
visible so you can make use of them:
1. Place the multi-position regulator on the
nozzle and secure it by turning the retaining nut
over it. There is a small rubber washer inside
the air tube, make sure it is in place before
assembling.
2. Screw the container on the bottom of the base.
NOTE: Make sure the seal is in place before
placing the container in the gun. The seal is
located on the neck of the paint sprayer and is
used to hermetically seal the paint container
and the paint sprayer.
PAINT PREPARATION
Before its preparation
This device cannot be operated with textured
paints. The use of these materials will cause
premature wear of the device, which will invalidate
the warranty. To get the best results from the paint
sprayer, thoroughly read the instructions before
use and keep them for subsequent referral.
Do not spray materials whose risks you are
unfamiliar with.
To test the viscosity
A. Immerse the viscometer included in the
material to paint and fill it.
B. Take and record the time it takes to be emptied.
C. Please refer to the manufacturer’s instructions
to determine if the paint requires dilution.
Types of paint
PAINT FAST 4X4 by VON HOME can be used with
any type of paint (except textured) provided it is
perfectly diluted and in a liquid state that allows it
to pass through the suction tube easily.

If the material requires dilution
To select the correct thinner, find out if the
material is water or oil-based. For the water-
based paint, use a water-based thinner. For the
oil-based paint, use an oil-based thinner.
1. Start with a 10% dilution of the paint
material. To do this, fill the container of PAINT
FAST 4X4 By VON HOME with the required
amount of paint or material. The viscometer
included has a capacity of 1 dl; plug the hole
and fill it with the required amount of thinner
paint or material.
2. Add the thinner to the paint and shake. Then
re-measure the viscosity. If the material for
spraying needs more dilution, dilute a further
5% (5% is equal to half of the viscometer) with
the correct thinner and measure the viscosity.
If necessary dilute the paint further, repeat the
process until obtaining the correct viscosity.
TIP: Set aside a small amount of paint to add
to the already prepared paint, if it has become
too diluted.
Note: You may need to filter the material to
remove all impurities from the paint, which can
enter and obstruct system. Impurities in the
paint result in a poor performance and finish.
Do not use halogenated hydrocarbon solvents
such as bleach, fungicides, methylene chloride
and 1.1.1-trichloroethane if you are painting
aluminium.
Filling the PAINT FAST 4x4 by VON HOME
1. Make sure that the device is unplugged and
the switch is in the OFF position.
2. Unscrew the container from the spray gun.
3. After properly diluting the material, fill the
container to the top of the neck.
IMPORTANT: Never exceed the maximum filling
level of 800 ml.
4. Then carefully screw on the container again.
Alignment of the suction tube
The suction tube inside the container must be
placed every time you use the paint sprayer. If
you are going to spray downwards, the angled
end of the suction tube must point towards the
front of the spray gun.
If you are going to spray upwards, the angled
end of the suction tube must point towards the
back of the spray gun (see diagrams).
NOTE: When you point the suction tube in the
right direction, you will not have to refill the
container so often.
Spray pattern
PAINT FAST 4X4 by VON HOME has three
different spray patterns: vertical, horizontal and
precision. The vertical and horizontal patterns
are recommended for large surfaces, while the
precision pattern is used for small objects or for
difficult to access areas (such as corners).
TIP: Try each spray pattern to determine which
is the most suitable for painting.

8
How to adjust the pattern
1. Make sure that the paint sprayer is turned off.
2. Loosen the retaining nut by turning it anti-
clockwise.
3. Adjust the position of the multiposition
regulator to produce the vertical, horizontal or
precision patterns.
4. Tighten the retaining nut.
IMPORTANT: DO NOT fire the gun without
adjusting the retaining nut.
INTENSITY ADJUSTMENT
The intensity adjustment will allow you to
increase or decrease the flow of paint that
comes out of the nozzle. Turn the flow adjusting
nut clockwise to tighten it and obtain a greater
flow of paint, or turn it anticlockwise so
that the output pressure of the paint is less.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
If painting with a paint sprayer system is
something new or unknown to you, it is
recommended that you practice on a wood or
cardboard surface before starting to work on the
desired surface.
IMPORTANT:All objects and surfaces you want to
paint should be cleaned before being sprayed.
All areas that you do NOT want to paint should
be covered.
How to spray
• Firstly carry out a spray test and adjust the
spray pattern and the amount of material to
spray according to the latter.
• Make sure you hold the spray in a vertical
position and parallel to the area of application,
at a distance of 25 to 30 cm.
• Always start to spray outside the desired area
to load the trigger.
• Move the spray gun uniformly, crossing from
top to bottom, or from one side to the other,
depending on the spray pattern.
NOTE: For a uniform spray, keep your wrist
straight and parallel to the surface. If you bend
your wrist or arm while painting, the angle
of spraying could cause a splodge of paint in
certain areas, which will leave an uneven finish.
Vertical mode: makes a
side to side movement.
Horizontal mode: makes
an upward and downward
movement.
Precision point mode for
detailing.

Tips
• Avoid painting any surface where the paint
sprayer requires an angle of more than 45°
for spraying.
• Never tilt the sprayer upwards at an angle of
more than 45°. The material could enter the
turbine and damage the sprayer.
For use outdoors
IMPORTANT: Note the direction of the wind
when using the sprayer outdoors and wear
suitable protection for your eyes and airways,
as well as appropriate clothing too.
The sprayed area must be clean and free of
dust to prevent any undesirable material from
coming into contact with the painted surface.
NOTE: Follow all environmental guidelines if you
spray outdoors. Take care of the environment
and properly dispose of any unused material.
LED LIGHT
The innovative PAINT FAST 4X4 by VON HOME
light guide gives you greater precision in
difficult to access or poorly lit corners.
The light remains lit while you use the gun.
CLEANING THE PRODUCT
Proper cleaning is required for the product to
operate without any problems. Improper cleaning
or lack of it invalidates the warranty.
IMPORTANT:
• Do not clean the spray gun with flammable
solvents.
• Always clean the spray gun and the container
with an appropriate cleaning solution (soapy water
for latex materials, alcohols and solvents for oil-
based materials).
• Do not use cleaning solvents, thinners or
lubricants that contain silicone, because they are
not compatible with the spray gun.
• Do not use materials that contain bleach or
chlorine.
• Do not immerse the spray gun in water.
• Always clean the spray gun in a safe outside
area.
IMPORTANT: Never clean the air filters or holes for
