Safety precautions
We at VORSPRUNG are very safety conscious. We strives to stay ahead of
customer needs by providing high-quality products and services based on its
corporate policies of High level of responsibility and Absolute Credibility. In
addition, we ask that you exercise a degree of care when using the device
and adhere to the following precautions. It is to ensure the operation of the
device is correct and safe. To prevent users or other people from personal
injuries or property damage, please make sure to follow them.
• Minors and children under 18 are prohibited from using this device, as this
device has not been tested on these individuals.
• Not to be used by pregnant or breastfeeding women, or during menstrual
period.
• Do not use device on skin with scars and light-sensitive skin.
• Do not use device if you have varicose veins and vasodilation.
• Do not use if the irradiated skin is infected, simple cell rash, skin lesions,
hematoma, etc.
• Do not use the device on the upper part of the face. (Above the cheekbones),
anus, nipple, or mammary areola. Also note that for men, do not use the
device on the scrotum; for women, do not use the device on the labia or
vagina.
• Do not use on burned skin, folliculitis, malignant tumors, infectious skin
diseases, etc.
• Light damage (sunburned), please wait for the skin to heal before use.
• Do not use on sensitive parts such as mucous membranes.
• Those who use chemical methods for hair removal within 30 days, have used
skin whitening products in a short period of time, or have used cosmetics
containing vitamin A ingredients. Please use device with caution.
• Those who have used isotretinoin within the last 6 months should not use the
device, as this could lead to scarring.
• It cannot be used in the same period as essential oil products. Please make
sure that the illuminated area is clean, dry and free of creams, lubricants and
other cosmetics. If the surface of the skin is not smooth, it may affect the
experience of using the device and may even damage the device.
• It is strictly forbidden to use this device for any type of wound that has not
healed. It is not recommended for patients with hirsutism and other diseases
induced hirsutism.

• If your skin tone or hair colour is not suitable, it is prohibited to use this device
(please refer to the skin colour card). (If necessary, please consult your doctor
before use).
• Hair removal by the IPL hair removal device or intense pulsed light sources
can increase hair growth in some individuals. Based upon currently available
data, the highest risk groups for this response are females of Mediterranean,
Middle Eastern, and South Asian heritage treated on the face and neck. This
group should be careful.
• Please keep the device beyond children’s reach. Please do not use this device
near a bathtub, shower basin, washbasin or other xtures containing water.
Please keep the device and the power adapter dry.
• If the device is damaged, please do not use and touch any internal parts to
avoid electric shock.
• Do not insert any objects into the device, and store device safety.
• When you need back hair removal operation, you may need an assistant or
partner. This is our recommendation, because we are concerned that you may
be at risk using it alone.
• If your hair is longer than 1mm, please shave rst. We recommend that you
use a razor. Excessively long hair absorbs heat on the surface of the skin,
which will cause skin redness and swelling, and scorched hair will produce
odor. This will affect your experience with the device.
• If the skin of the irradiated area is not dry or clean, it will affect the use of
effectiveness and may also cause the device to not ash or ash unexpectedly.
• If the power cord is damaged, in order to avoid danger, stop using device.
• Eye Safety: You must wear the safety glasses provided.
The device emits ashes of Intense Pulsed Light. Though the device has been
tested and passed the international standards to ensure that its output are
safe for your eyes, direct exposure is still potentially harmful to your eyes. The
device can only be ashed (light emitted) if both skin sensors (inside the
light-emitting window) detect a valid skin reading.
Warnings

RECOMMENDS SAFETY FIRSt
--DO NOT look directly into the light-emitting window of the device when the
device has electrical power and is switched on.
--DO NOT attempt to ash (emit light) the device towards the eye.
--DO NOT treat areas around the eye (eyebrows or eyelashes).
--DO NOT use this device around the eyes. Protective glasses can indeed
protect the user’s normal operations but, if you operate around the eyes, the
protective glasses may not completely block the energy from being absorbed
by the iris melanin in your eyes at close range.
--ONLY attempt to ash the system when the light-emitting window of the
device is in good contact with the area you wish to treat.
--WE RECOMMEND you look away from the device when ashing onto your
skin. Or We recommend that you wear protective glasses every time you use
them. Although the light will not directly affect the glasses, the high-frequency
ashing light may affect your eyesight.
• The maximum temperature of the treatment head is 110°F / 43°C, which will
not burn the skin when it reaches a certain temperature

• Some customers will experience slight redness after use, which is normal. It
will disappear within 24 hours normally. If it doesn’t disappear within 24 hours,
please stop using the device and consult your doctor.
• Do not use antiperspirant immediately after irradiating the armpit.
• Please conrm and clean the dirt of the irradiation port regularly to avoid burns
and malfunctions during use.
• Do not use when the vent is blocked, as not to cause smoke and re.
• Do not use on pets to avoid injury.
• Do not use this device around the eyes, as not to cause eye damage.
• After use, please wipe clean the hair and skin care products attached to the
device to avoid any malfunction and skin damage.
• Do not use it near children, the device will emit strong light, which may hurt
the eyes.

EMC Statements
• After use, if the skin is slightly hot and red, this is normal, the ice compress
function can be turned on to relieve skin discomfort.
• Do not point the irradiation port towards a black object, as not to cause
scorching, discoloration or damage.
• After the device is turned on, it cannot be left unattended. Please turn it off
immediately after use.
• Clean the skin, make sure that there are no hair residues, completely dry and
no oily substances on the skin surface.
• If the environmental temperature difference is more than 70°F / 21°C, please
turn off the device and let it stand for about 2 hours to use again.
• The ambient temperature of this IPL hair removal machine is 40~95°F /
4~35°C, please conrm the room temperature before use.
• Within 24 hours of irradiation, please avoid direct ultraviolet rays on the
irradiated part.
• If the skin on the irradiated area is not dry or clean, it will affect the use of pulsed
light, and may also cause the device to not ash or will ash unexpectedly.
• Please do not touch the light exit port after use, because the light exit port
generates high temperature, it can easily cause burns.
• Do not place the device in the sun or expose it to ultraviolet light for a long
time, which will seriously damage the device.
• If the built-in fan does not work after turning on the power (no buzzing sound
can be heard), please do not use it, so as not to cause smoke, re and other
malfunctions.

• IPL hair removal device (model BR2020) conforms to EMC requirements.
• User shall install and use in accordance with EMC information described in the
attached manual.
• The portable and mobile RF communication equipment may affect the
performance of the device, so please avoid strong electromagnetic interference
when using, such as, do not use it near phone, microwave and so on.

How Does Vorsprung Luminous IPL Work

The VORSPRUNG Luminous IPL Hair Removal Device offers hair removal via
the Intense Pulsed Light technology, also known as IPL. Essentially, the device
utilises high-energy light to achieve long-term hair reduction. The absorbed light
energy is converted to heat energy (below the surface of the skin), which disables
the hair follicle. This puts the hair into a resting phase.
Immediately post treatment: You should not see any signicant side effects from
treatment.
In the rst few weeks following the initial treatments: You will still see some
hairs growing. These are likely to be hairs that were missed during treatment i.e.
they were lying dormant and not in their growth phase (Anagen) during treatment,
when IPL is most effective.
Around 2 weeks into the 4 week treatment program: You should see a reduction
in hair growth. However, many hairs may still not have been treated in their growth
phase. It is important to continue the weekly treatments.
After the 5 - 6 week program: You should see a signicant reduction in hairs
within the treated area. Any remaining hairs should be ner and lighter in color.
Continued monthly treatments, or treatments as required, should maintain the
reduction in unwanted hair
Intended use: IPL hair removal device is an over-the-counter device intended
for removal of unwanted hair such as, but not limited to, small areas such as
underarm and facial hair below the chin line and large areas such as legs.
Suitable for persons aged 18+ only.
Women: Legs, arms, underarms, bikini area and face (below the cheek bones)
CAUTION: Do not use the device near the eyes, along the forehead, on the lips or
nostrils. Do not use it in the genital area.
Men: Shoulders and below (chest, back, arms, stomach, legs)
CAUTION: Do not use on the face, neck or genital area. The device is intended
to be used on body hair below the neck, including arms, underarms, bikini line,
stomach and legs. (Use on male beards or facial hair may lead to uneven results).

Skin Tone & Body Hair Type Chart

Hair Colour
The device is intended for use on light, medium and dark skin tones up to and
including skin tone (see Skin tone chart).
The device is intended for use on naturally black or brown hair. It may not be as
effective on white, grey, blonde or red hair.
We recommend choosing on the basis of Fitzpatrick Phototyping Scale
which was developed by Harvard Medical School dermatologist, Thomas
Fitzpatrick, M.D., PhD to class a person’s complexion and their tolerance
of sunlight, and there are six levels of skin tones in the scale. The device
is suitable for the skin tone in Type I to Type IV. Please identify your skin
colour and check the following table to see whether the device is applicable.
