Set up and Operation
Please note that all VORTEC VOLT 220’s are tested prior to shipment.
System Set-Up:
1. Periodically check all fasteners for tightness. Due to the natural vibration associated with
vacuums, some fasteners may become loose over time.
2. Obtain appropriate protective equipment.
3. Set system on a dry, level surface.
4. Attached vacuum hose to the inlet pipe using a hose clamp.
Note: It is highly recommended to use a VORTEC vacSHIELD when using
the VORTEC VOLT 220. Install the vacuum hose to the inlet of the
vacSHIELD. Then, connect a piece of vacuum hose from the vacSHIELD’s
outlet to the vacuum’s inlet (you can cut a short section from your main
vacuum hose, or purchase a short section of hose to meet this need).
5. Attach hose or vacuum bag to the machine’s outlet using a hose clamp.
Operation Instructions:
1. Insert the power cord into the power receptacle.
2. Press the green RUN button on the keypad to start the vacuum.
3. Allow the vacuum up to 10 seconds to reach full power.
4. To stop the vacuum, press the red STOP button on the keypad.
5. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO RESTART THE VACUUM UNTIL IMPELLER HAS COME TO A FULL STOP.
6. NOTE: If the emergency stop has been pushed in, the emergency stop must be pulled out and
the stop button must be pressed on the keypad before the machine will start again. Once these
steps have occurred press the green RUN button.
