4 Safety instructions
The application of this operating instruction does not release the operator from the observation
of any applicable occupational safety regulation, e.g. the Operational Safety Regulation.
The operator of the air blower must perform its duty of care by planning measures for ensuring a
proper operation and by controlling implementation.
Hazard Notes
- No air blower is admitted for air cleaning of dirt particles on clothes, glasses, gloves or similar
on the body. Despite nozzles formed to markedly reduce the risks and hazards when dealing
with the energy source air, direct body contact must be avoided because severe injuries may
occur.
- When working with air blowers well fitting safety glasses must be worn (also by nearby
persons) because chips or other coarse material are moved with much
- The maximum admissible working pressure must never be exceeded (see Technical Data).
- Never use oxygen, flammable gases or halogenated hydrocarbons as energy .
- Check all connections and hoses for tight fit and serviceability. Loose hoses may be a risk of
severe injury.
- Prior to adjustment works, fault clearance and long-term non-use as well as maintenance
works disconnect the air blower from the pressure source.
- Air blowers must not be diverted from its intended use or rebuilt. Only use original equipment.
Not recommended equipment has a risk potential
- Do not use the device when it does not work properly or when it was damaged. Do not try to
repair it on your own.
The operator must in particular ensure that
- the air blower is used only according to the intended use.
- the air blower is operated in a perfect working condition.
- persons with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities do not use the air blower unless when
supervised and trained by an advisor.
- any and all parts of the sets are kept out of the reach of children. The air blower is no toy.
- the operating instruction is at all times available to the operating personnel in a complete and
legible state.
- the operating personnel is familiar with the safety notes and principle of operation of the air
blower.
- The nozzles may develop a very high noise level (90dB(A)).
In general, for air-cleaning of blind holes or blowing against edges it is known that indefinable
noise frequencies can occur that may damage the hearing.
To prevent any such, ear protectors must be worn for long lasting works without interruption.
- during the operation of the air blower so safety devices are removed and / or deactivated.

5 Product Description
5.1 Intended Use
- The air blower is intended for air-cleaning of objects and places difficult to access
as well as blow drying of damp places.
5.2 Technical Description
material: plastics
- to avoid any negative influence on the material property (plastic) of the housing of the
air blower, the air blower must not be cleaned with benzene or alcoholic cleaning
agents.
Similarly, when heavily oily it should be cleaned with water only.
- Should damage occur on the plastic housing despite the observation of these notes
the air blower must not be used further. Bursting or yielding of the thread on the nozzle
connection is possible.
5.3 Technical Data
The air blower can be equipped with various connections.
These connections can be inquired at the manufacturer Walther-Präzision.
The nozzles are designed in such way to provide a wide protection against improper use so
that any excessive buildup of pressure is avoided when placed on skin.
Nevertheless the blowing force is underestimated.
Pressure is often unnecessarily increased for subjective reasons, this is not necessary.
Working pressure: 5-6- bar
Max. working pressure: 8 bar
Operating temperature: -10°C bis +50°C
Noise level:
(measured in ca. 1m distance to the air
blower)
see table
- the air blower is not intended for any other
usage and technical values than indicated in
the product description.
- If the air blower is used not according to the intended use and the respective technical
values no safe operation can be ensured.
- Regarding any and all personal injuries and damage to property resulting from any and all
use not according to the intended use or to the technical values not the manufacturer but the
operator of the air blower is responsible and liable

The air blower must be integrated into a network under consideration of the general accident
prevention regulation in such way that:
- proper operation according to the operating instruction is possible.
- any outer damage of the unit as well as of the moving parts is excluded
After the mounting works are completed a functional testing according
to the operating instruction is to be carried out both in depressurized and
pressurized state.

8 Maintenance and Functional Testing
Preventive Maintenance Measures
The WALTHER- air blower must be handled in such way that any outer damage to the elements
and to all moving parts can be excluded.
Maintenance
To always ensure the functioning of the air blower and therefore the protection of the operator a
maintenance and functional testing must be carried out in suitable intervals depending on the
operating conditions.
The maintenance includes the following points:
- A visual inspection regarding possible damage and soiling must be carried out
- Soiling of the functional area (seal area, actuating elements) accessible from outside can
be removed by simply wiping it off.
- When parts are damaged, torn or corroded the air blower must be demounted and sent to
the manufacturer for repair.
Warning !
When repair is carried out individually a pressure and leak test must be absolutely
effected, this can also be carried out during the working process. The procedure and
scope of this test is described under the section “Testing”.
Warning !
The manufacturer Walther-Präzision does not provide and expressly excludes any
warranty for any repair not carried out by the manufacturer Walther Präzision.

9 Testing
Description:
Testing the fitting by immersion testing according to the following table values.
Series
air blower
2 bar absolute
- Test assembly and test sequence
air blower
air blower
water quench
- Notes and Remarks:
The holding time per test is 10 sec.
Taking into account a leak rate of 10-2 mbar x l/s 3 gas bubbles with a
diameter of 4 mm may escape in these 10 sec.
After the testing the fitting must be dried in warm air as soon as possible.
(Recommendation: 45 –55 °C, ca.30 min in air current, 2 h in static air, depending on
the device)
- Documentation:
Testing must be documented by recording the test pressure, test fluid and name/date.

Storage
13
10 Storage
The air blower must be stored in such way that no damage may occur to the air blower.
The storing conditions of the air blower must be subject to the guidelines regarding the seals
because the seals may alter by improper storage.
The following points must be observed:
-The air blower must be stored in a dry place.
-For a safe conservation of the seals, the seals and thus the air blower should be stored
in a dry place without any day light.
