GENERALSAFETYINFORMATION
Whenusingthisfireplace,basicprecautionsshouldalwaysbetakentoreducetheriskoffire,electric
shockandinjurytopersons,includingthefollowing:

feetfromthefront,sideandrearofthefireplace.
1. Carefullyreadallinstructionsbeforeusingthefireplaceandretainforfuturereference.
2. Removetheunitfromitspackagingandchecktomakesureitisingoodconditionbeforeuse.
3. Donotletchildrenplaywithanypartsofthepacking(suchasplasticbags,etc.).
4. Checkthehouseholdvoltagetoensurethatitmatchesthefireplace’sratedspecification.
5. Beforeusingthefireplace,carefullycheckthepowercordandplugforanydamage.
6. Besurethattheroomisequippedwithaworkingsmokedetector.
7. Beforeunpluggingthepowercord,turnoffthepower.Whentouchingtheunit,keepyourhandsdry
topreventelectricshock.
8. Donotplacethefireplacenearcurtainsorotherinflammableobjects.Keepcombustiblematerials,
suchaspillows,bedding,papers,clothes,andcurtainsatleast3feetawayfromthefront,sideand

10. Donotuseonsoftorunevensurfaces,likeabed,whereopeningsmaybecomeblocked.
11. Exhibitextremecautionwhenanyfireplaceisinthevicinityofchildrenandinfants.
12. Neverleavechildrenorinfantsunattendedwhilethefireplaceisonorpluggedin.
13. Whennotinuse,alwaysunplugthefireplace.
14. Preventwaterfromenteringthehousingofthefireplaceduringoperationorwhileinstorage.
15. Alwaysstorethefireplaceinadryareafreefromanymoisture.Thisfireplaceisnotintendedforuse
inbathrooms,laundryareas,orsimilarindoorlocations.Neverplacethefireplacewhereitmayfall
intoabathtuborgetexposedtowaterinanyway.
16. Donotuseinplaceswheregasoline,paint,orotherinflammableliquidsareusedorstored.
17. Donotrunthecordundercarpets.Donotcoverthecordwiththrowrugs,runners,orsimilar
products.Arrangethecordawayfromtrafficareassuchthatitwillnotbetrippedoverbyanyone.
18. Donotoperateanyfireplacewithadamagedcord,adamagedplug,afterthefireplacemalfunctions,
orifithasbeendroppedordamagedinanymanner.Returnthefireplacetoanauthorizedservice
facilityforexamination,electricalormechanicaladjustment,orrepair.
19. Donotinsertfingersorallowforeignobjectstoenteranyventilationorexhaustopeningasthismay
leadtoanelectricshockorfire,ormayevendamagethefireplace.
20. Thisfireplacebecomeshotduringuse.Toavoidburns,donotletbareskintouchhotsurfaces.If
necessary,usethehandleswhenmovingthisfireplace.
21. Usethisfireplaceonlyasdescribedinthismanual.Anyotherusesnotrecommendedbythe
manufacturemaycausefire,electricshock,orpersonalinjureandmayvoidwarrantyprivileges.
22. Alwaysplugfireplacesdirectlyintoawalloutlet.Neveruseanextensioncord,powerstrip,surge
protector,multipleoutletadapter,cordreeloroutlet‐typeairfreshener.Theuseofsuchdevices
createsafirehazard.
23. Faultywalloutletconnectionsmaycausethewalloutlettooverheat.Besurethatthefireplaceplug
properlyfitsintotheoutletbeforeeachuse.Duringuse,makesurethefireplaceplugdoesnot
overheat.Ifnecessary,haveaqualifiedelectriciancheckand/orreplacethewalloutlet.
