WIRING SAFETY FOR UK USE ONLY
IMPORTANT
As the colours in the
mains lead of this
appliance may not
correspond with the
coloured markings
identifying the terminals
in your plug, please
proceed as follows:
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
Blue neutral [N] Brown live [L]
Plug Fitting Details (Where Applicable).
The wire coloured blue is the neutral and must be
connected to the terminal marked [N] or coloured
black.
The wire coloured brown is the live wire and
must be connected to the terminal marked [L] or
coloured red.
On no account must either the brown or the blue
wire be connected to the [EARTH] terminal .
Always ensure that the cord grip is fastened
correctly.
The plug must be tted with a fuse of the same
rating already tted and conforming to BS 1362
and be ASTA approved.
If in doubt consult a qualied electrician who will
be pleased to do this for you.
Non-Rewireable Mains Plug
If your appliance is supplied with a non-rewireable
plug tted to the mains lead and should the fuse
need replacing, you must use an ASTA approved
one (conforming to BS 1362 of the same rating).
If in doubt, consult a qualied electrician who will
be pleased to do this for you.
If you need to remove the plug - disconnect it
from the mains - and then cut it o the mains
lead and immediately dispose of its safely. Never
attempt to reuse the plug or insert it into a socket
outlet as there is a danger of an electric shock.
WARNING:
This appliance is double insulated. Do not connect any wire to the earth terminal.

• Do not let the cord hang over
the edge of a table or counter or
let it come into contact with any
hot surfaces.
• The use of accessory
attachments is not
recommended by the appliance
manufacturer, apart from those
supplied with this product.
• Do not pull the plug out by the
cord as this may damage the
plug and/or the cable.
• Do not use this product for
anything other than its intended
use.
• This appliance is for household
use only.
• Do not carry the appliance by
the power cord.
• Do not use the appliance
outdoors.

• Do not vacuum the following
objects: liquid, inammable and
explosive dangerous material,
corrosive material and burning
ash, matches or cigarette.
• Do not use the appliance to
vacuum dust that may be
harmful to your health.
• Keep the appliance in a dry
environment.
• Do not touch the live parts in
appliance.
• Pay more attention when
cleaning the stairs.
• Use the accessories and spare
parts only supplied by the
manufacturer or its authorised
service agent.
• Do not vacuum glowing or
burning embers, or any ash
above 50oC
• Do not vacuum ash or other
objects that are burning.
• Do not use the appliance if the
lter is not installed! Do not use
other lters except the ones
attached to the appliance by
manufacturer.
• In the unlikely event the
appliance develops a fault,
stop using it immediately and
seek advice from the Customer
Support Team.

BEFORE YOUR FIRST USE:
1. Remove the parts from the packaging.
2. Assemble as instructed in the assembly page.
3. Your appliance is now ready for normal use.
Dispose of the packaging in a responsible manner.

ASSEMBLY
1. Loosen the two retaining clips and remove
the motor and cover from the tank.
2. Attach the lter to the lter housing.
3. Place into the vacuum cleaner tank.
4. Place the motor and cover back on top
of the tank and fasten both clips down,
locking the cover in to place.
5. Twist the exi pipe into the opening on the
side of the vac and insert the aluminium
pipe on to the end of the exi pipe.
6. Your vacuum is now ready for use.
USING YOUR APPLIANCE
1. Plug your vacuum in at the wall socket
and turn on.
2. Turn the power switch to on.
3. Use the hose to suck up any ash.
Important: Ensure the re is fully extinguished
and there are no glowing or hot embers before
vacuuming ash. Only vacuum ash with a
temperature of below 50°C.
4. Once you have nished vacuuming, run
the unit for 30 seconds to ensure all
debris is safely in the container and none
remains in the hose.
5. When the container is full or it feels dicult
to vacuum more dust, the lter needs to
be taken out and cleaned.
Note: Only use the lter supplied with the
appliance.
CLEANING AND CARE
Cleaning The Filter
1. Turn o the vacuum cleaner and remove
the cover.
2. Empty the dust container and wash it.
3. Take out the lter, clean and wash it
carefully, and air dry before re-installing on
the vacuum cleaner.
• The container, outer shell & cover need to
be cleaned frequently.
• The dirty container and lter should be
washed with clean water.
• If the appliance is not working properly, it
is usually the result of a blockage in the
soft tube, pipes or accessories. Please
clean the parts concerned
