High Flow Inline Water Filter Systems
Operation
The Puretec PureMix Inline Water Filter System is designed to run economically for many
years, dependent on the initial installation and periodical maintenance.
Flush systems for 10 minutes aer any period of non-use more than 2 days.
The PureMix Z6 Inline Water Filter System is designed to operate with mains water.
The PureMix Z7 Inline Water Filter System is designed to operate with mains, rain, harsh
and rural water.
Cartridge Replacement

Replacement cartridge code for Z6 model: Puretec Z6-R.
Replacement cartridge code for Z7 model: Puretec Z7-R.
Installation
This system comes complete with an installation kit enabling it to be connected to 15mm
(½”) male thread to an existing tap or mixer tap (cold supply only - hot water should be
ltered prior to heating). Also includes extending kit, where extra length is required.
Installation Note: A water lter system/tap, like any product, has a limited life and may
eventually fail. Also sometimes failure happens early due to unforeseen circumstances. To
avoid possible property damage, this product should be regularly examined for leakage
and/or deterioration and replaced when necessary. A drain pan, plumbed to an appropriate
drain or outtted with a leak detector, should be used in those applications where any
leakage could cause property damage, and/or the water supply should be turned o if no
one is home/present.
INSTALLATION MUST BE COMPLETED BY A LICENCED PLUMBER. FAULTY
OPERATION DUE TO UNQUALIFIED PERSONS WILL RESULT IN VOIDED
WARRANTY COVERAGE.

Installation Requirements
Installation Requirements
1. 15mm (½”) cold water exi-connector to tap.
2. Water supply pressure: 200 - 520 kPa.
3. Water supply temperature: 0° - 38 °C (protect from freezing).
Alternative ttings may be required if being connected to anything other than 15 mm (½”)
copper pipe. No electrical or drainage requirements.
Installation Procedure
1. Select suitable location that is close to the existing tap. Remember to allow access
room for changing lter and a suitable place where water spillage will not cause
damage. Location should not be in direct sunlight.
2. Isolate water supply and release water pressure by operating faucet lever. Disconnect
existing braided hose connections from the cold water line.
3. Attach non-return valve to water supply with thread seal tape. Then detach the 1/2"
DR Brass adaptor from the non-return valve, apply thread seal tape as necessary and
reconnect to the non-return valve.
4. Install lter cartridge to the head assembly (see Fig. 1 & 2). Please note the arrow on
the cartridge label indicates Undo and Install directions.
Warning: Ensuring the cartridge is in the correct lock position is critical prior to
operating the system. Not being seated in the correct position can cause the locking
tabs to shear and damage the head and/or water leakage. See Fig 2 for the correct
position.
5. Push the joint stem adaptors into the inlet and outlet of the cartridge head, ensuring
they are pushed in all the way.
6. Install system assembly by positioning it in the desired location, marking the position
of xing holes and xing with mounting screws (PureMix Z Series can be mounted
horizontally and vertically). Allow room for the connecting tubes and for removing the
cartridge (70 mm).
Note: Knocking the cartridge can cause the cartridge to come out of the locking
position. To limit the likelihood of this occurring it is best not to store items too close to
the system to avoid accidental dislodgement of the cartridge.

Installation Procedure
7. Connect the braided hose onto stem adaptor, then connect to the cartridge head
assembly inlet (please note the arrow on the head indicating the direction of the water
ow). A hose extension kit has been provided if necessary, this can be used to extend
the hose either side of the system. Ensure the hose is kink free.
8. Connect the mixer tap's braided hose to the brass adaptor on the head outlet. Make
sure all ttings are tight and braided hose is kink free.
9. Restore the water supply and check for leaks. If leaking occurs then undo cartridge and
check the cartridge is seated properly.
10. Run the system for at least 10 minutes (turn on mixer tap to run cold water) to remove
carbon nes. Water may appear milky, but this is normal and is only tiny air bubbles
that will clear aer a short period.
