Hardware buttons & features
Power Button(s) Press this button to turn the device on.
NOTE: Tap this button once while the WegoTM A is ON to put it into "Standby" or "Sleep"
mode. This feature will conserve battery life when the WegoTM A is not in use.
Bluetooth Speaker
The Bluetooth speaker on the
WegoTM A can be detached*, allow-
ing the user to either wear the
speaker on a lanyard and project
their voice face-to-face or place
the speaker in a nearby location to
the WegoTM A.
*the speaker on trial devices
cannot be removed.
Volume Control
Press the top of the volume toggle
to increase the speaker volume or
press the bottom of the toggle to
decrease the volume.
Screen Rotation Lock
Slide this switch to lock the screen
in horizontal or vertical format.
Charging
the WegoTM A
Charge the device at
night or when not in
use. For best
performance, charge
the speaker weekly.

Regular Button
The most common type of button you will create in order to add symbols and messages to the speech window to
be spoken aloud when a button is pressed.
Folder Buttons
Link to an additional folder with more button choices. For example, you might choose to link a “School” button to
a pre-made folder of “School Supplies”, or create a new folder and create a custom list of “School Supplies”
buttons.
Action Buttons
Perform a specic action when pressed. These are helpful for creating quick messages, and for individuals who
do not have the ability to perform particular software functions, like clearing the message window.
Recents view
Recently spoken messages are stored here.
Views
Tap > Views to see the
sub-menu and choose
one of 3 views.

You may access the views
menu at any time to quickly
switch between dierent
views.

Tap > pencil icon to enter editing mode. The editing toolbar will appear.

User settings & features
Within your WegoTM A, there are several settings that are worth noting. Access to some of these features
may be integrated into your particular vocabulary le.
Appearance sub-menu
Tap > Appearance within the main
options window to display additional
settings.
- Display style.
- Label position and color.
- Number of columns.

Help menu
Tap > Help to access an extensive list of
resources included on your WegoTM A.

Edit an existing button
In Edit Mode, rst tap the button you wish to edit, then tap the up arrow under the toolbar to display the
button properties.
Button Image
Tap > to edit the image.
Choose from a selection of
images, or take a photo
with the device camera.
Text to Speak
The message to be spoken
aloud when the button is
pressed.
Expressive PowerTM
Apply realistic prerecorded
sounds and phrases to but-
tons. To explore, Tap > speech
bubble icon with Plus symbol.
Label
The visible text label to appear
on the button.
Additional Button Properties
Explore the list of additional
customizing options for indi-
vidual buttons, including:
Border Color, Background
Color, Voice Options etc.

Text to speak aloud
Text to appear on the button

Pronunciation
Tap the beside the
voice.
Tap the language you wish
to edit.
Tap > edit Pronunciations
Tap the word from the list
you would like to edit.
Note: New pronunciations
can be added to the list by
tapping the + symbol.
Edit the pronunciation.
Tap > Speak to test your new
pronunciation.
New and edited pronuncia-
tions are automatically saved
when you return to the word
list.

Create a new, regular button
Add Button
New button properties window.
Add Folder
New buttons and folders can easily be added in edit mode. Click the pencil icon to enter edit mode.
Button placement
Buttons above the blue line will
be visible on the screen with-
out scrolling.
Move a button
Tap any button and hold until it begins to pulse.
Drag and release it on the page where you would like it
to appear.

Create a new folder button and link it
Link to an existing folder of buttons:
Tap > Add Folder > Tap > Link to Existing Folder, and choose from the list of folders of buttons
displayed.
Link to a new folder:
Tap > Add Folder > Tap > New Folder.
Add buttons to a folder:
Double tap any folder to view the folder contents. New buttons can be added or edited.

Typing view
Tap > Views
Tap > Typing
Type your message using the on
screen keyboard.
When you are ready to speak
your message, Tap > Speak
Tip: messages will automatically be
saved! Tap the recents icon to see a
list of most recent phrases.
