SET UP PROCEDURE
The next step is programming the EasyFlush.
N.B. Flushing mode default is "D" (D= Direct flushing - mains/tank Fed no cistern.)
To obtain "C" (C= Cistern flushing) hold the "F" button down when connecting battery.
The display will show selected D or C mode after a few seconds.
(IMPORTANT in “C” Mode ensure cistern is empty before commencing with fill time settings)
Firstly remove the EasyFlush from its packaging, and carefully lift the rubber gasket (D) over the 3 metal
valve connectors, to reveal the battery tray . Carefully fit the battery (B) observing the correct battery
polarity, replace the rubber gasket, then immediately (within 20 seconds) fit the EasyFlush (A) to the
solenoid valve head (H). Attach the securing screw (I) and lightly tighten. Replace the screw cover (J).
You will notice if the battery has been fitted correctly as a letter “D” or “C” will be displayed depending which mode you have chosen.
ADJUSTING THE FILL/FLUSH TIMING
If you wish to set the EasyFlush for use with a CISTERN Flush System hold down the “F” button down while
connecting the battery and then releasing, it will display a letter “C”.
In cistern mode the set up process involves timing how long it takes to fill your urinal flushing cistern with water,
because every site will be different due to cistern size and water pressure differences.
Ensuring your cistern is still empty press the “F” button so the screen displays “F-S”, meaning the system is ready to
start filling.
Press “F” again which will then open the valve and water will flow into the cistern, (while the cistern is filling a small
red dot will flash on the front of the EasyFlush to indicate the cistern fill time is being recorded).
Once the cistern is full the flush will start at which point you simply press the “F” button again to close the valve and
record the total cistern fill time. The fill time is now set into the EasyFlush memory.
If you wish to set the EasyFlush for use with a DIRECT Flush System connect the battery, ensure the letter “D” is
being displayed on the front of the EasyFlush press the “F” button so the screen displays “F-S”, meaning the system
is ready to start filling.
Press the “F” button again which will then open the valve and start to flush the urinal (while the urinal is flushing
with water a small red dot will flash on the front of the EasyFlush to indicate the timing is in progress) after about
5-10 seconds you simply press the “F” button again to record the total urinal flush time.
In Direct mode “D” it is normally recommended to flush a urinal for about 5 – 10 seconds duration.
For Direct Flushing Systems you may require a larger orifice valve (please seek advice from the manufacturer)
ADJUSTING THE FLUSH CYCLE
The EasyFlush will now display “ T - 0 - 0”, press the “T” button to set your required number of flushes per day.
For example, T - 0 - 4 would mean 4 flushes per day, attained by pressing the “T” button 4 times or T - 1 - 2 would mean 12 flushes per
day attained by pressing the “T” button 12 times.
After you have selected the desired amount of flushes if you do not wish to use the prohibit days feature as below, wait 20 seconds and
the display will turn off after a “beep” this confirms the settings have been accepted and your EasyFlush will flush your urinals to the set
flushes per day until the battery expires, in approximately 2/3 years OR when ‘battery low’ alarm sounds.
If the EasyFlush is not programmed as above for any reason then a factory default setting will be automatically selected.
Direct Flush Mode (12 x 10 second flushes per day) Cistern Flush Mode (4 x 6.5 minute fills per day).
In Direct mode “D” it is recommended to flush a urinal more frequently than with a cistern due to the lower flush volumes.
USING THE PROHIBIT DAYS FEATURE
This feature allows you to choose 1 or 2 days per week when the urinals won’t flush, for example if the premises are closed on
certain days. They can be any 2 days of the week they do not have to be consecutive.
If the prohibit days feature is required, after setting your flushes per day as above press the “F” button for 5 seconds until “Y10” is
displayed. If the “F” button is not pressed the EasyFlush will be ready for use without the flush inhibit feature after 20 seconds.
