For best washing results and
energy savings, sort the laundry
carefully.
1. Sort the laundry into loads.
l Group the laundry into loads that
can be washed and dried together
See the Laundry Guide for informa-
tion and samples of typical loads.
l Try to mix large and small items for
best movement in the washer.
2. Measure Detergent; Add to
Washer Basket.
l See detergent information on page
6 and In Section IV of the Laundry
Guide
3. Load the Washer.
l Load without packing so Items can
move freely for best cleaning and
least wrinkling.
l Spread the load evenly [Don’t put
all the towels on one side and a few

1. Set the LOAD SIZE SELECTOR.
l Select the water level that matches
the size of the load See poge 5 for

SIZE SELECTOR, first move it to RESET
Then move it back to the setting you

the Control Knob to the right (clockwlse)
to the setting you want Pull the knob
out to start the washer

The
SUDS-MISER System
Your washer has the SUDS-MISER‘ System. It has two drain
hoses. One hose moves used wash water into a storage tub and
moves it back into the washer when it’s called for. The other hose
carries water to another tub with an open drain, or to a stand-
pipe drain
If you do not want to re-use wash water, leave the stopper out
of the storage tub so the water drains away.
S’IORAGE
If you have a storage tub big enough to hold about 25 gal-
lons (95 liters), you can have a qualified installer convert your
washer to save all the wash water.
TO SAVE WASH WATER
Be sure the stopper ISin the storage tub. The SUDS-MISER System
does not save rinse water from any cycle, nor does it save wash
water from the PERMANENT PRESSCycle
TO RE-USE WASH WATER l
Pull the Control Knob out.
l The washer will pump most of the
l Push in the Cycle Control Knob. water from the storage tub back
into the washer basket. The washer
will finish filling with fresh water.
l Drain the storage tub. Water still in
l Turn it right [clockwise) so it points
to SUDS (see illustration).

PERMANENT PRESS CYCLE.
l Remember, the washer WIII stop for
about 1’ 2 minutes after the partlal drain
during the cool-down period in this
cycle
MAKE SURE THE DRAIN HOSE IS HIGHER
THAN THE WATER LEVEL IN THE WASHER.

during wash and rinse cycles
