The$WiP7001p$Ethernet$Bridges$may$be$installed$without$any$configuration$or$setup$by$
simply$connecting$to$the$coax$network$as$shown$in$the$Connection$diagram.$
1. Check$coax$endpoint$location$connections$to$confirm$that$they$are$connected$to$the$
main$coax$TV$network.$
2. Locate$the$Broadband$Modem.$
3. Make$connections$as$shown$in$the$system$installation$overview.$
4. If$existing$cabling$system$has$an$RF$amplifier,$it$must$be$replaced$by$a$MoCA$ByPass$
Amplifier$$
5. If$Cable$STB’s$are$MoCA$devices,$a$2-way$MoCA$splitter$must$be$used$to$allow$MoCA$
signal$to$pass$to$STB$(WiP7001p$does$not$pass$MoCA$through$TV$Only$F$connector)$
6. Install$additional$WiP7001p’s$or$WIP7500$WIFI$AP’s$in$any$desired$room$that$has$an$
active$Coax$cable$connection$home$run$to$the$MoCA$splitter.$

The$WiP7001p$can$be$configured$to$allow$custom$settings$such$as:$$assignment$of$a$static$
IP$Address,$upgrade$of$Firmware$and$access$to$a$built-in$network$PHY$rate$table$for$
diagnostics$and/or$verification$of$physical$cabling$integrity.$$Steps$to$access$the$
configuration$setup$are$as$follows:$
1. WiP7001p$must$not$be$connected$to$coax$network$during$this$procedure.$
2. Connect$computer$directly$to$the$WiP7001p$with$an$Ethernet$cable.$
3. Set$computer$TCP/IP$properties$setting$to$a$static$IP$Address$which$is$on$the$same$
subnet$as$the$WiP7001p’s$default$IP$Address$–$89:;8<=;8>>;8??.$$Also$set$the$
Subnet$Mask$to$:@@;:@@;:@@;?.$
4. Open$Web$browser$on$the$computer$and$enter$the$WiP7001p$default$static$IP$
Address$of$89:;8<=;8>>;:?$into$the$browser$address$bar.$
5. Enter$the$User$Name$“admin”$and$Password$“wi3admin”.$
6. Select$desired$menu$item$on$the$setup$page.$
7. When$complete,$reset$computer$to$original$TCP/IP$network$settings.$

1. Connect%WiP7001p%to%Computer%using%Ethernet%patch%cord.%
2. Set%computer%TCP/IP%properties%to%Static!IP!192.168.144.100%in%
the% IP% address% field% and% 255.255.255.0%in% the% Subnet% Mask%
field.%%Click%on%Submit%or%Apply%button%to%activate%change.%
3. Open% Internet% browser% on% computer% and% enter% the% Static% IP%
Address%assigned%to%the%WiP7001p%into%browser%address%bar.%
4. Enter%the%User%Name%“admin”%and%Password%“wi3admin”%
5. Select%“PHY%Rate”%in%left%most%column%
6. When% complete,% reset% computer% TCP/IP% back% to% original%
settings%(DHCP)%
