Introduction
Thank you for purchasing this quality product. To minimize the risk of injury we urge that our clients
take some basic safety precautions when using this device. Please read the operation instruc-
tions carefully and make sure you have understood its content.
Keep these operation instructions safe.
General warnings and safety information
Safety in the work area
•Make sure that your work area is clean and well-lit. Untidy and dark work areas increase the
risk of accidents.
•Do not use the tool in potentially explosive areas where there are flammable liquids, gases, or
dust. Power tools generate sparks that can ignite the dust or fumes.
•Keep children and other people away from the work area while operating the device. Distrac-
tions can make you lose control of the device.
Electrical safety
•The plug must match the socket. It must not be changed under any circumstances. Do not
connect an earthed electrical device to the power supply using a adaptor. An unchanged plug
and the matching socket reduce the risk of electric shock.
•Avoid body contact with earthed surfaces such as pipes, radiators, stoves, and refrigerators.
The risk of electric shock increases when your body is earthed.
•Do not expose an electrical device to moisture or rain. Water entering an electrical device in-
creases the risk of electric shock.
•Do not use the power cord to carry an electrical device, to hang it up or to pull the plug out of
the socket. Keep the cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges, or moving parts. Damaged or tan-
gled cables increase the risk of electric shock.
•When working outdoors, an extension cord approved for outdoor work must be used. Using
such a cable will reduce the risk of electric shock.
•If the use of the electrical device in a humid environment is unavoidable, install a residual current
circuit breaker. Using such a switch will reduce the risk of electric shock.
Personal safety
•Be vigilant, focus all your attention on what you are doing, and use common sense while work-
ing. Do not use the electrical device when you are tired or under the influence of alcohol, drugs,
or medicine. A moment of inattention leads to the device no longer being controllable, which
can result in serious injuries.
•Put on protective equipment and always wear protective goggles. Protective equipment such
as a dust mask, non-slip safety shoes, a hard hat, or hearing protection reduce the risk of injury
depending on the working conditions.
•Avoid unintentional use of the electrical device. Make sure that the switch is in the off position
before connecting it to power and/or a battery, picking it up, or carrying it. When you carry the
device, make sure that your finger is not on the on/off switch; do not plug it in with the switch
on. Otherwise, an accident could occur.
•Remove any adjustment tools before switching on the device. An adjustment tool still attached
to a rotating part of the device can cause serious injury.
•Avoid an unnatural posture. Stand safely and always keep your balance. This makes the device
easier to control if something unexpected happens.
•Wear suitable clothing. Avoid loose clothing, do not wear jewellery. Keep hair, clothing, and
gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothing, jewellery, or long hair can get caught in moving
parts.
•If a dust extractor or collector can be installed, ensure that it is connected and used correctly.

Safety when using and handling the power tool
•Do not overload the device. Only use a device specifically designed for your work. The device
intended for the respective work functions better and safelier if it is operated in the specified
performance range.
•Do not operate the device if its on/off switch is defective. An electrical device that can no longer
be switched on or off at the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
•Disconnect the electrical appliance from the power supply before adjusting it, replacing acces-
sories, or putting it down. This avoids unintentional start-up of the device.
•Keep the electrical device out of children’s reach when it is not in use. Do not allow someone to
use the device who is not familiar with it or who has not read these operating instructions. If a
device is put into operation by an inexperienced user, it becomes dangerous.
•Carefully maintain the power tool. Inspect its moving parts for proper function and check to see
if any parts have jammed, are broken, or if anything else has occurred that could affect the
proper operation of the device. Have damaged parts of the tool repaired before any further use.
Many accidents occur due to poorly maintained tools and equipment.
•Only use an electrical device, its accessories, the tools used for it, etc. in accordance with these
operating instructions. Also take into account the working conditions and the work to be per-
formed. If an electrical device is used for purposes other than those for which it is intended, it
can become dangerous.
Maintenance and repair
Only have the electrical device repaired by a specialist and with original spare parts. This ensures that
the device can continue to be operated safely.
Special warnings and safety information
•Only use an earthed outlet during use.
•Keep hands and inflammable objects at a distance during use to avoid accidents.
•The device should only be opened by a qualified electrician. To avoid electric shock, you should
be qualified to open the device.
•Should the red and green lights not shine separately for a while, something seems to be mal-
functioning. Stop the work and turn off the device.
•In the event of a malfunction or defect, contact a qualified technician or electrician. Never open
the device yourself.
•The device is pre-set to the appropriate temperature. Please do not reset the default settings
so that functionality and work performance continue to exist.
•This product can be used on thermoplastic pipes, e. g. type 20-21 pipes. The device has various
features such as precise temperature regulation, safe and tack-free plastic, and ease of use.

Commissioning
Connecting
Connect the welder to the heating element. Make sure that the heating mandrel is firmly tightened,
otherwise an irregular heat transfer can occur. Prepare the pipe ends before welding. The joint surface
of the pipe must be worked on according to the pipe manufacturer’s instructions.
Turning on the power
Turn on the power and make sure that the green lamp is on. The red lamp then starts to light up and
indicates that the heating process has started. When the welding temperature is reached, the red lamp
goes out and the green one starts to light up again. The device is now ready for use.
Welding pipes
•Quickly and axially push the pipe and fitting onto the heating mandrel and the socket attached
to the heating element. Fix them during the warm-up time.
•After the warm-up time has elapsed, suddenly separate the pipe and fitting from the heating
mandrel and socket and push them immediately, without twisting them, up to the mark. Insert
both to the required depth until the flange is visible on the joint.
•Hold the compressed connection fixed and allow it to cool.
