Asse bling the Monitor

• Do not place your LCD Monitor near a window as it may be severely dam-
aged if exposed to rain, water, moisture, or sunlig t.

• Place t e monitor at least 4” (or 10 cm) away from t e walls
• Safe storage temperature of t e LCD Monitor ranges from -20º to +65º.

1) Assembling t e base plate included in t e accessory kit.
Getting Started
Warning
Do not operate t e LCD monitor wit out its matc ing power supply. An
incorrect voltage may cause malfunction, fire or electric s ock.
Introduction

Unpacking and Checking the Box Contents
Before unpacking your LCD Monitor, prepare a suitable workspace for your LCD
Monitor and computer. You need a stable, level, and clean surface near a wall
outlet.
1. Set t e LCD Monitor box in an uprig t position and open t e top of t e box.
2. Remove t e left and rig t cus ions t at protect t e monitor during trans-
port.
3. Carefully lift t e monitor up and out of t e box and place it on t e desig-
nated area.
4. Remove t e connector cover from t e back of t e monitor (pull from t e
bottom of t e cover to open) to obtain access to t e power plug.

Adjusting the Viewing Angle
Your LCD Monitor is designed to allow you to adjust it
to an optimal viewing angle. You can adjust t e monitor
upward to 20º and downward to -5º.
Note
Do not touch the screen while changing the viewing
angle as it may damage the screen. Make sure not
to pinch your fingers while changing the viewing
angle.
Operating the Monitor

and s arpness by following t e
instructions.
2) Plug t e female end of t e 1.8m power cord into t e AC adaptor; t en
plug t e DC connector of t e adaptor to your monitor’s DC In jack.
3) W en you’ve completed t e above steps, connect t e male end of t e
power cord into t e wall socket.
Note
For added protection it is recommended to use a Surge Protection device
between the AC Adapter and the wall outlet in order to prevent the effects
of sudden current variations from reaching the CD Monitor. Sudden peaks
of electricity may cause damage to the Monitor.
Connecting Your Monitor to the Co puter
1. Turn off your computer and t e LCD Monitor before attac ing any cables.
2. Use t e built-in VGA Signal Cable to connect your Monitor to t e computer.
3. Make sure t e cable is securely connected to t e computer’s VGA port by
tig tening t e connecting screws to ensure a solid connection.
4. Turn on your computer and t en turn on your LCD Monitor.
1 EXIT Button Exit t e OSD (On Screen Display).
2 Arrow key Press to select main menu items.
3 Arrow key Press to select sub menu items.
4 Minus key Adjust setting bars i.e. CONTRAST, BRIGHTNESS, etc. to decrease setting values
of t e OSD.
5 Plus key Adjust setting bars i.e. CONTRAST, BRIGHTNESS, etc. to increase setting values
of t e OSD.
6 Power For turning ON/OFF t e monitor.
7 LED power Green - Normal operation

OSD Adjust ent Lock
T is function prevents OSD options from being c anged by mistake.
All Menu Table items except “BRIGHTNESS” will be locked.
a) Press t e “ ” and “-” buttons
simultaneously to bring up t e
“CONTROL LOCK” screen. Pressing
t e “+” button at t is time will
lock t e OSD menu. Pressing t e
“-” button at t is time will unlock
t e OSD if previously locked.
b) W en t e OSD menu is locked, any
attempt to modify display settings
(except brig tness) will fail. A
monitor t at is locked will display
a “LOCKED” message in t e upper
rig t corner of t e screen indicat-
ing t at t e OSD is locked.
c) To unlock t e OSD, press t e “ ”
and “-” buttons simultaneously
to bring up t e “CONTROL LOCK”
screen. Press t e “-” button to
unlock t e OSD. T e “LOCKED”
message will disappear automati-
cally w en t e OSD is unlocked.

How to Use the OSD (On Screen Display)
OSD functions allow t e user to easily adjust t e display to t e desired
quality. T e OSD menu includes a main menu and a sub-menu.
Structure of the OSD Menu
Adjusting the Display
T ere are two ways to adjust t e monitor’s screen; i.e. auto adjustment
and manual adjustment.
Auto adjustment
1. Power ON t e LCD monitor and
computer.
2. Make sure t at your LCD monitor is
not “CONTROL-LOCKED” by pressing
“ ” and “-” simultaneously.
3. Press “-” to unlock. T e “CONTROL
LOCK” screen will disappear automati-
cally or you may press “EXIT” to exit
from t e screen.
4. Press eit er t e “ ” or “ ” to pop-up
t e OSD screen.
5. Scroll t roug t e on screen icons by
pressing t e “ ” button in order to
reac t e “AUTO SETUP” sub-menu
item.
6. Press t e “+” button w ile “AUTO
SETUP” is ig lig ted.
7. T e auto adjustment will started. “AUTO SETUP” will be displayed during
auto adjustment. It takes a few seconds to finis adjustment.
Manual adjust ent
a) Power ON t e LCD monitor and computer.
b) Make manual adjustments as needed to t e menu table items listed below
utilizing t e OSD control buttons.
Operating Procedure
1. Power on t e LCD monitor.
2. Press t e “ ” or “ ” buttons
to pop up OSD menu.
3. Press t e “ ” button to select
main menu items.
4. Press t e “ ” button to select
sub menu items.
5. Press t e “+” and “-” buttons
to adjust settings.

CLOCK Adjusts t e number of pixels from t e source video.
CLOCK PHASE Adjusts t e p ase relative to video Hsync signal.
HORIZONTAL
POSITION Moves t e screen orizontally (left/rig t).
VERTICAL
POSITION Moves t e screen vertically (up/down).
AUTO SETUP To auto adjust press t e “+” button.
AUTO ADJUST Automatically adjusts t e clock, p ase, H/V position
values for t e most optimal settings.
ALL RESET Return to factory preset values.
OSD POSITION C anges t e OSD position.
POWER SAVE Power management function.
LANGUAGE Press “+” and “-” to c oose OSD language.
DISPLAY MODE “-” Represents t e Text mode.
“+” Represents t e Grap ic mode.
COLOR Standard: Factory preset color.
Custom: Preferred color is adjusted.

• Ergonomic Recommendations
Do not operate t e monitor in a dark room or against a brig t background.
For optimal viewing comfort, t e monitor s ould be just below eye level
and 40-60 cm (16-24 inc es) away from your eyes. W en using t e monitor
over a prolonged period of time, a ten-minute-break per our is recom-
mended.
Special notes on LCD Monitors
T e following are normal wit LCD monitors and do not indicate a problem.
• W en first turning on t e LCD monitor, if t e picture does not fit in t e
display area it is because t e monitor needs adjusted to accommodate t e
computer it is now attac ed to. In suc a case, adjust t e picture position
to its correct position by running t e “Auto Setup” option found in t e OSD
menu. (See Operating t e Monitor)
• T e screen may flicker during initial use. Turn off t e power switc and
t en turn it on again and t e flickering s ould disappear.
• Users may notice a little uneven brig tness on t e screen depending on
t e desktop pattern t ey use. It is normal for LCD monitors to s ow suc
uneven brig tness.
• If t e screen becomes dark, flickers, or does not lig t-up, contact your
dealer or t e nearest service center for a backlig t replacement. Do not
attempt to replace it yourself.
• If you need to return your unit for service and t e original packaging
was discarded, please contact your dealer or t e nearest service center
for advice or replacement of packaging.
Cleaning
Warning
• If you dropped any material or liquid suc as water onto t e monitor
w en cleaning, unplug t e power cable immediately and contact your
dealer or t e nearest service center. Always make sure your ands are
dry w en unplugging t e power cable.
For your Safety
Warning
• Allow t e monitor to determine its correct settings by running t e "Auto
Setup" function wit in t e OSD controls.
• Protect and correctly use the cable
Do not pull or bend t e power and VGA cables. Do not place t e monitor
or any eavy objects on t e cables. If t e cables are damaged, t ey may
cause fire or electric s ock.
• mmediately stop operating the monitor when you detect any
abnormal occurence
If you notice any abnormal p enomenon suc as strange noise, smoke
or smells, unplug t e monitor and contact your dealer or t e nearest
service center immediately.
• Do not remove the cabinet
Removing t e cabinet may expose you to t e danger of fire or electric
s ock.
• Do not put any foreigh object inside the monitor
Foreign objects may cause fire, electric s ock or damage w en operating
t e monitor.
• Do not use the monitor near water
Operating t e monitor in close proximity to water is cause for concern
due to t e possibility of electric s ock.
• Bad weather conditions
It is advisable not to operate t e monitor during eavy t understorms
as intermittent breaks in power may cause malfunction. Do not touc
t e plug under t ese circumstances as it may cause electric s ock.
Caution
• Disconnect cables when moving the monitor
W en moving t e monitor, always turn off t e power, unplug t e monitor,
and disconnect t e VGA cable.
• Do not touch the plug with wet hands
Pulling or inserting t e plug wit wet ands may cause electric s ock.
• Properly hold the plug when disconnecting cables
W en disconnecting t e power cable or VGA cable, always pull t e cable
by t e plug. Never pull on t e cable as t is may cause fire,electric s ock
or damage to t e monitor.

Troubleshooting Procedures
If t e LCD monitor fails to function correctly, please follow t e following
steps for a possible solution.
1. Perform t e adjustments according to Operating t e Monitor.
2. Refer to t e following items if you cannot find a proper item listed in
t e Operating t e Monitor section or if t e problem remains.
3. If t e problem you ave experienced is not described below or you cannot
correct t e problem, stop using t e monitor and contact your dealer or t e
nearest service center for furt er assistance.
Caution
• For safety reasons, turn-off t e power switc and unplug t e monitor
before cleaning.
• Do not scratc or rub t e screen wit a ard object.
• Never use any of t e following solvents on t e LCD monitor. Suc ars
c emicals may cause damage to t e cabinet and t e LCD screen.
- T inner - Abrasive cleaner
- Benzene - Acid or Alkaline solvent
- Wax
• Rubbing t e cabinet wit products made of rubber or plastic for a long
period of time may cause degeneration or loss of paint on t e cabinet.
Cabinet
• Remove dirt wit a lig tly moistened clot and a mild solvent detergent.
T en wipe t e cabinet wit a soft dry clot .
LCD
• Periodic cleaning wit a soft dry clot is recommended.
• Do not use tissue to clean t e screen. It may damage t e LCD screen.
