BEETLE /M-II lint filter
Introduction
The functionality of the BEETLE /M-II may be adversely
affected by lint collecting on fans and heat sinks, which
compromises the cooling process. The lint filter ensures that
the amount of lint entering the BEETLE /M-II will not affect its
operation.
Particularly high concentrations of lint are commonly found in
areas where textiles such as clothing, tablecloths, bedding,
and household items made of cloth are sold.
The lint filter is not suited for filtering fine particles such as
dust.

The minimum clearance on the sides as specified in the
user manual must still be adhered to when the lint filter
is mounted. The lint filter does not provide protection
against blocking the ventilation airflow.
Mounting the BEETLE /M-II lint filter
Mounting the BEETLE /M-II lint filter is simple and can be
performed by a store's sales staff, for instance.
To mount the BEETLE /M-II lint filter, insert the mounting
hooks into the ventilation slots on the left side of the unit.
Make sure to place the latch to the front side of the unit.

Mind the position of the latch (showing to the front of the unit)
Mount the filter by following the steps in the order listed below:
-upper left top row left slot
-lower left second row from bottom, left slot
The other two mounting points upper right, lower right will line
up automatically:
-upper right top row second slot from right
-lower right second row from bottom, second slot from
the right
Press the lint filter to snap into place.

Removing the BEETLE /M-II lint filter
Remove the BEETLE /M-II by pulling the latch. You can then
easily remove the filter.
Cleaning and maintenance of the BEETLE /M-II
lint filter
Clean the lint filter at least once a week and in case of high
dust exposure accordingly more often.
As soon as a thin dust film has been formed on the lint’s
surface you must clean the lint filter immediately.

Cleaning an installed filter
The lint filter can be cleaned without dismantling by using the
palm of your hand or, better yet, a damp microfibre cloth.
During cleaning, the BEETLE /M-II must be switched
off and the power supply cord must be unplugged. Do
not allow any moisture to enter into the unit's case.
You can leave the device switched on only when your
hand or the microfibre cloth is absolutely dry! This way
of cleaning the lint filter, though, is not efficient, so you
will have to perform it more often.
Cleaning the filter with water
For more thorough cleaning, occasionally remove the lint filter
and carefully rinse under a soft stream of clean water.
During cleaning, the BEETLE /M-II must be switched
off and the power supply cord must be unplugged. Do
not allow any moisture to enter into the unit's case.
After rinsing, allow to air dry, remounting the filter only
after it has dried completely.
If the filter material is subjected to too much pressure,
particularly on the inner surface after the filter has been
removed, the filter material may detach from the plastic frame.
If the filter material is detached, the filter can no longer be
used.
In the event that either the filter material can not be sufficiently
cleaned or has separated from the frame, the entire filter must
be replaced.

Liability and warranty
The BEETLE /M-II can be damaged if,
-the lint filter was mounted/demounted incorrectly or
improperly,
-cleaning the lint filter and the side panel of the
BEETLE /M-II was neglected, done incompletely or
not in time,
-liquid finds its way into the lint filter and the
BEETLE /M-II while cleaning,
-a not completely dried lint filter is used,
-if a lint filter is used, which can not be cleaned
appropriately any more,
-a lint filter is used where the cloth has dissolved from
the frame.
Wincor Nixdorf will not be liable or responsible for these
damages!
The lint filter is a wearing part. There is no warranty claim for
inadequate operation or malfunctions of the filter due to wear
and tear.
