You will need the manual for the safety warnings and precautions, assembly
instructions, operating and maintenance procedures, parts list and diagram.
Keep your invoice with this manual. Write the invoice number on the inside of the
front cover. Keep the manual and invoice in a safe and dry place for future
reference.
Safety Warnings and Precautions
WARNING:When using this product, basic safety precautions should always
be followed to reduce the risk of personal injury and damage to equipment.
Read all instructions before using this product!
1. Check for damaged parts. Before using any product, any part that
appears damaged should be carefully checked to determine that it will
perform its intended function. Check for any broken or damaged parts and
any other conditions that may affect its operation. Do not attempt to repair
yourself. Repairs are to be done by a qualified technician.
2. Keep children away. Do not let them play with the Alarm Clock. Small parts
can cause choking if swallowed by children. Do not let children play with
packaging. Be aware of poly bags used in packing this product and any
other packing material. Clocks are delicate instruments and need to be
maintained by an adult.
3. When replacing batteries, use the recommended battery size. Only
replace with new batteries. Do not mix brands of batteries. Check with your
local authorities and dispose of used batteries at a hazardous waste disposal
center in your area. Do not put batteries in a fire.

4. If mounting this product, choose an area that is visible to all viewers.
Mount with proper mounting hardware. If in doubt, have a professional
mount this product. Avoid mounting where someone could raise up and
accidently hit their head on the sharp Feet (3) of the Alarm Clock.
5. Maintain products with care. When setting time or the alarm, always turn
the dials in a clockwise direction; not doing this could damage the clock.
Caution: When turning off alarm, be cautious not to dismount or knock over
clock.
6. Use the right Clock for the job. There are certain applications for which
this product was designed. Do not modify this product or use this product for
a purpose other than which it was intended.
Warning:The warnings, cautions, and instructions discussed in this instruction
manual cannot cover all possible conditions and situations that may occur. It
must be understood by the operator that common sense and caution are
factors which cannot be built into this product, but must be supplied by the
operator.
Unpacking
When unpacking this product check to make sure that all parts are included
as shown in the parts list. If any parts are missing or broken, please call
Harbor Freight Tools at the number below.
Mounting and Operating
The 8” Black Quartz Alarm Clock can be hung on a wall surface or can be used as
a table top model. Please note that the alarm shut off is located on the back of the
clock. If the alarm is to be used, the clock should only be used as a table top model.
Note: The clock can tip over easily when trying to shut off alarm.

Mounting:
1. Choose an area you wish to mount the clock. Make sure you have located a
solid surface or use a molly bolt to prevent mounting from pulling out of the
dry wall.
2. Drill a small hole and screw in a 3/16” wood screw into the hole leaving
about 1/2 “ of the screw exposed. Use the Mounting Hole (2) to hang the
clock onto the screw.

Placing Batteries:
1. Remove the Battery Cover (6).
See Figure 1.
2. Place two “C” batteries into the Battery Compartments. When positioning
batteries, note the polarity markings in the Battery Compartments. Position
accordingly. Replace the Battery Cover (6).

Setting the Clock and Alarm:
1. After determining the correct time, turn the “Dial to Set the Time” (3)
clockwise (back of the clock) until the clock shows the correct time.
See
Figure 1 on page 4.
2. To set the alarm, turn the “Alarm Time Knob (4) clockwise to your desired
wake-up time. Make sure the “Alarm Hand” (9) is pointing to the correct
wake-up time on the face of the clock.
See Figure 2.
The Alarm Bells (1) will
chime at that time only when the ON/OFF Switch (5) is set ON.
Example:
You want to wake-up at 5:00 AM.You set the Alarm Hand (9) to the
number 5 on the face of the clock. After 5:00 PM (the night before) you turn
the ON/OFF Switch (5) to the ON position. Note: There is no AM / PM alarm
setting. The Alarm Hammer (7) will strike the Alarm Bells (1) at 5:00 AM the
next day. To shut off the alarm, turn the ON/OFF Switch (5) to OFF.

A stoppage or slow down of the minute and/or second hand will indicate that the
batteries need replacement. See directions on page 4.
