TRANSPORT AND MANIPULATION
Although the LiFePO4 cells and baeries are safe technology without risk of re or explosion, they are like
all Lithium baeries considered as Dangerous Goods due to high amount of stored energy. Release of this
energy may cause dangerous situaon.
Therefore high capacity cells and baeries cannot be transported as ordinary goods. Dangerous goods
requires special handling care. Lithium cells and baeries are classied as ADR goods – special road transit.
WARRANTY
Warranty is valid for manufacturing faults and cell nominal capacity exisng at delivery of goods. Warranty
apply for standard usage within a specicaons given by manufacturer. Warranty does not apply to
decrease of capacity within toleraon of charging and discharging specicaon given by manufacturer.
Warranty period is stated on Delivery Note provided with goods.
For warranty claim processing we require reliable conrmaon that your baery was used within voltage
range given by manufacturer. This is ensured by using regulated charging and discharging via BMS.
Warranty does not apply for situaon caused by unintenonal short circuit, overcharge or undercharge of
cells which is usually demonstrated by inaon of the cells or terminal burns. Warranty also does not apply
for unintenonal discharge when the cell or baery is le without control and the voltage on terminals
drop below minimum specied by manufacturer.
One of requirements for accepng warranty claim is following all recommendaon given in this manual.
Lithium cells and baeries LiFePO4 (LFP) – LiFeYPO4 (LFYP)
WARNING:
Always check the technical specicaon of the cells and other products BEFORE the installaon.
Check the voltage, polarity, dimensions, mechanical shape, the proper design of the terminals,
etc. Be sure to report any strange condions to us BEFORE the operaon and installaon of the
cell or other product. We will be happy to provide support for any irregular situaon.
Lithium cells and baeries are designed for use as rechargeable and reusable power source. Can be used as
a substute for other types of rechargeable cells and baeries.
Baery check and match any individual cell or baery is done by charging the cells in series, connecng the
charger to each individual baery. Checking the baery status and any match is recommended to perform
these intervals (ie, discharge / charge cycle):
• rst charge
• aer the rst cycle
• aer the 5 cycles
• aer the 20 cycles
• aer the 50 cycles
• possibly followed by further the anomalies detected about once every 50 to 200 cycles
Baery Management System (BMS) is a monitor device, which monitors and records the status of individual
cells or baeries. To ensure correct operaon and in case of a warranty claim cells and baeries must be
monitored during operaon. When you detect deecons or malfuncon cell or baery, must be such cell /
baery removed from service.
1. Method of securing the return or separate collecon for which purpose the manufacturer means
available to the end user publishes a current list of places to take back and separate collecon
containing at least the name of the place and its address.
Place of return and separate collecon:
2. The possible negave eects of the substances used in baeries and accumulators on the environment
and human health:
3. About the importance of the graphic symbol for separate collecon or take-back and the importance
of labeling

• During storage, keep the temperature within the range according to the specicaons of a parcular
arcle.
• Do not mix with other materials.
• Do not stack cardboard box with baeries. When stacking may cause deformaon of the baery in the
lower layers and the subsequent ow of electrolyte.
• For addional transportaon / handling and packing materials, choose the method of packaging
to prevent unintenonal electrical contact and corrosion terminals, providing protecon against
environmental inuences and mechanical damage.
• Considerate handling of the boxes. Rough handling can cause a short circuit or damage.
• Ensure proper circulaon of stocks, follow FIFO system (First In, First Out).
• Check the voltage of the cell every 2 month. Charge the cell if the voltage dropped to a minimum value
of voltage
Baery operate under the supervision or constant monitoring protecon and control systems. Protect
against overcharge and deep-discharge.
WARNING:
Carefully check the maximum voltage as specied cells or baeries. Exceeding the voltage will
damage the baery and void the warranty.
•
New baeries LFP/LFYP are partly charged from factory. However, before rst use it is absolutely
necessary to charge the baery to full capacity. This inial charging should be done at maximum
current of 1C and the voltage level according to the specicaon of the cell or baery. Please see
specicaons of the cell about value of inial charging. Baery capacity in the rst cycle gradually
grows. In the rst few cycles is recommended to avoid rapid discharge to the minimum capacity and we
do not recommend quick charging. Aer about the h, sixth cycle, is nothing to prevent the baeries
used in full operang cycle according to the manufacturer‘s specicaons for the type of baery.
•
Because LiFePO4 baeries has no memory eect, charging can be done at any me. Repeated short
charge cycles the baery life not signicantly changed (within + / - 5%).
Maximum charging currents for single cells or baeries are listed in the manufacturer‘s specicaons for
the type of cell.
WARNING:
Carefully check the minimum voltage as specied cells or baeries. Discharging below this
voltage will damage the baery and void the warranty.
Maximum discharging currents for single cells or baeries are listed in the manufacturer‘s specicaons for
the type of cell.
•
Charged and uncharged cells contain large amount of electricity, which can cause a short-circuit in the
electrical spark or arc. The baery itself is not combusble, but from incandescent contacts may ignite
other combusble materials.
•
When connecng more cells and baeries in series increases the risk of injury DC. In any case, do not
touch electrical wires or other components under voltage.
•
Lithium cells and baeries contain no causcs and acids. However contain chemical substances,
that act on the human body. For this reason, in the handling of cells and baeries must observe the
following rules:
• protect your eyes with goggles against the ingress of chemicals in the eye.
• wear protecve clothing and gloves. Avoid skin contact with chemicals.
• Operate with baeries only in well-venlated areas. In enclosed
spaces it is necessary to provide forced air venlaon.
The baeries can be used only by the person who was properly instructed on the use of lithium cells
and baeries. Lessons performs the last seller. In case of internet orders, have instrucon provided in
manipulaon manual. More informaon are listed on the website of the seller.
• Protect from improper handling.
• Do not insert with opposite polarity, follow the signs. If the baeries are inserted in reverse, can cause
a short-circuit or charging.
• Prevent short-circuing. If possive (+) and negave (-) baery terminals are connected,
short-circuing happens.
• Before installing, clean the terminals of baery and the terminals facilies.
• The LiFePO4 should be always mounted with the terminals facing upwards.
• Do not heat excessively. – baeries operate at temperatures according to the specicaons.
• Do not weld the cells.
• Do not disassemble. When open may be contact with dierent parts of the baery harmful.
• Do not distort. Baeries should not be compressed, punctured or damaged in any way.
• Do not dispose of in re.
• Do not expose to water or excessive humidity.
• Keep away from children. Beyond their reach, it is necessary rst of all to keep away baeries which
can be swallowed. In addion, children should not be allowed replacement of baeries without adult
supervision.
• Do not incase or modify. Any modifying of the baery may cause block safety venlaon mechanism.
Any adjustments should consult the dealer.
• Unused baeries should be stored charged and keep them away from metal subjects, which can make
short-circuing the baery. Alreary unpackage units should not be mixed and stored with unused
baeries.
• Avoid extreme humidity (over 95%) High temperature or humidity may worsening of baery
characteriscs and / or corrosion of the surface.
• Do not storage / expose the baery to direct sunlight, in places where they may be exposed to rain,
excessive heat such as radiators or heaters.
• Baeries stored in well-venlated and dry environment, ideally enclosed in a protecve case.
