8.6 Instructions for Woodco systems installation
Pipe network
Pipe lengths, allowed between the different components of the vacuum unit, are indicative and pro-
visional.
To do Woodco systems it is necessary to use strong and long-lasting installation material, available
in antistatic zync-coated pipes Ø 50 mm, or PVC installation material.
All connections must be watertight, in order to grant the maximum performance .
It is better to realize the pipe network in a straight line, because with many direction changes it is
necessary to realize a shorter pipe network.
Avoid networks with positive or negative traps.
For some connections it is possible to use spiral pipe, in antistatic plastic material, with smooth
internal walls. Radius of curvature for installation made with flexible hose cannot be under 30 cm.
It is better to reduce to the minimum sections realized in flexible hose, to optimize installation per-
formances. All pipes must be fixed to walls or strong supports every 150 cm. Horizontal sections
must be made with spirit level, while vertical sections cannot be over 3,5 meters.
In case of connection between rigid steel pipes and flexible pipes, the spiral inside the flexible hose
must be connected to the steel pipe, to grant antistatic properties.
To avoid electrostatic charges, pipe network must be grounded, in accordance with current rules.
Warning
We recommend using only original pipes, connections and accessories as they have been realized
on this purpose.
Before installing and using Woodco system, we recommend to read this manual carefully and, in
case of doubts, please contact qualified person.
Construction and installation of systems must be made according to safety rules related
to the place they are installed in.
WARNING: the system installation must be
made by qualified personnel only.
