INSTALLATION
5
1. Drill holes in the concrete oor or other solid ground. Fix the shower to the ground using the bolts in the
parts bag. Make sure the solar shower will not collapse due to strong wind and other external forces.
2. Install the solar shower in a location with optimal sunshine.
3. Connect the inlet of the solar shower to your home’s water system using a standard garden hose.
4. Turn on water supply to garden hose to ll shower. Shower will take about 2 minutes to ll. NOTE: Filling
tube with valve in hot position ensures no air pockets are trapped in shower. This procedure is used for
initial set up ONLY. When water ows from shower head, turn shower handle off.
5. Test that all components are installed correctly and not leaking. Transportation and any improper operation
during installation can loosen the xings, causing leakage. Check to make sure all xings are tightened.
CAUTION:
To prevent being scalded by hot water, ALWAYS make sure the shower valve is in the cold water position
(blue) before turning on the shower, then turn the valve on and gradually adjust the water toward the hot
water position (red), until reaching the desired temperature.
DO NOT remove or add any parts or attachment, otherwise leaking can occur.
Clean the shower head periodically to make sure water sprays without resistance.
DO NOT allow children to use the solar shower alone.
Fill up the water tube only after the shower id fully assembled and installed. Turning the adjusting handle
to the HOT position, if the water comes out of the shower head, the tube is fully lled.
In winter months, be sure to empty the water inside the tube to avoid water freezing inside the tube,
possibly damaging the unit.
WHEN EXPOSED TO VERY STRONG SUN RAYS, THE WATER
TEMPERATURE COMING FROM THE SOLAR SHOWER MAY
REACH TEMPERATURES AS HIGH AS 140˚ F (60˚ C).
NOTE: Depending on available
sunlight, and outside temperature, it
may take up to 3 hours or longer to fully
heat the water. Using the shower too
soon will yield less heated water.
A recently used shower (that has not
been emptied) will take less time to
heat as it will have retained some hot
water.
