adjust the TV volume to your desired level.
Disc playback
1. Press the POWER button (1) displayed on
the front panel.
2. Press the OPEN/C OSE button (2).

place a playable d sc on t w th
the playback s de down.
3. Press ENTER/P AY (3).
After clos ng the d sc tray, playback w ll start.
As the DVD v deo player s read ng the d sc, a
menu w ll appear on screen or you may access
the menu by press ng the TITLE button (4).
4. Select a title/chapter or track.
Press and (5) dur ng playback to move
between tracks.
You also can press (6) or the number
buttons to select the t tle/chapter or track.

Moving the DVD video player during playback may cause damage to the disc as well as the
player.
!
To open and close the disc tray, you may only use the OPEN/C OSE button on the remote
control or DVD video player.
!
If the picture on TV screen will keep going up and down, press the P/N button on the remote
control to set the correct type, PA or NTSC or just MU TI.

Repeat playback
Th s un t allows you to playback a spec f c t tle, chapter, track or segment repeatedly.
(t tle repeat, chapter/track repeat, A–B repeat).
How to repeat a title, chapter,
or track
1. Select the title, chapter, or track you want to
repeat.
2. Press the REPEAT button.
The repeat mode changes, each t me you press
the REPEAT button.
How to repeat a specific segment
1. Press the A–B repeat button at the
beginning of the segment in which you want
to repeat playback (point A).
2. Press the A–B repeat button again at the
end of the segment (point B).
The DVD v deo player w ll automat cally return
to po nt A and start to repeat playback of the
selected segment (A–B).
3. Press the A–B repeat button to cancel the
A–B repeat function.
The DVD v deo player w ll resume to normal
playback.

How to set titles, chapters, or
tracks in a favorite order
(Program playback)
1. Insert a disc, then press the PROGRAM
button.
At th s t me the menue w ll appear.
2. Using the numbered buttons, fill in the
title (TT) and chapter (CH) numbers. The
highlight moves automatically, but you
can move it with the buttons as
well. Correct mistakes by moving the
highlight back and keying the numbers
again.
3. Highlight START with the
buttons, then press the ENTER/P AY
button.
The DVD v deo player starts programmed
playback.
4. To quit the menu, move the highlighted
to EXIT on the bottom and enter it.
Playing titles in shuffle
Th s DVD v deo player w ll automat cally choose
the t tles and chapters n a DVD v deo d sc and
play them back randomly.
1. Press the SHUFF E button.
The DVD v deo player w ll now start random
playback.
2. To resume normal playback.
Press the SHUFFLE button aga n dur ng random
playback.

1. Press GOTO during playback and select the desired item (Title, Chapter, Audio, Subtitle).
Then press ENTER to confirm.
2. Press numbers to select the title and chapter you want.

! You may experience that some discs will not respond to this function.
! If different instructions appear on the TV screen, follow those instructions.
The instructions above are describing the basic procedure where the procedures
may vary depending on the contents of the DVD video disc.

! By pressing < ⁄> you may shift the highlights between the TIT E and CHAPTERS.
! To select the time, you can press the GOTO twice.

Parental control
You can use the parental lock function only with DVD video discs
equipped with the parental lock feature.
1. Press STOP twice during playback.
2. Press SETUP.
The SETUP MENU appears on the TV screen
3. Use arrow keys to select PREFERENCE,
press ENTER.
4. Select PARENTA by pressing
5. Then you can select your rating.
The pre-set password s 3308.
6. Press SETUP to exit setup, press P AY
to start.
To change your password:
1. Follow step 4 to select password.
2. Enter old password.
3. Enter new password.
4. Re-enter to conf rm your new password.
5. Press ENTER/PLAY.
6. Press SETUP to ex t.
Setting the parental lock
DVD v deo d scs equ pped w th the parental lock funct on are rated accord ng to the r content.
The contents allowed by a parental lock level and the way a DVD v deo d sc can be controlled may
vary from d sc to d sc. For example, f the d sc allows, you can ed t out v olent scenes unsu table
for ch ldren and replace them w th more su table scenes, or lock out playback of the d sc all
together.

You can use your DVD player to view photographs or enjoy songs
stored on a CD-R. The photographs on the disc need to be saved in
the JPEG file format. And the songs should be saved in MP3 format.
Creating your own Picture CDs
Us ng your computer save p ctures as
JPEG format and burn them on a CD-R
d sc, then you can watch on your TV.
KODAK PICTURE CD/JPEG/MP3 playback
1. Press OPEN/C OSE.
Place the CD on the d sc tray, and press
OPEN/CLOSE aga n to close the tray.
2. Select a folder or a picture/song contained
on the CD.
After the CD s loaded, a menu w ll appear on
the screen.
Press UP or DOWN to select a folder, and press
ENTER/PLAY to v ew folder contents (shown n
r ght column).
3. Select one play mode.
Press RIGHT tw ce to select PLAY MODE and
then press UP and DOWN to select one mode
among:
FOLDER (normal playback), REPEAT ONE, REPEAT
FOLDER, or SHUFFLE.
Then press RIGHT tw ce to h ghl ght the r ght
column, then press UP or DOWN to choose the
p cture or song that you want to enjoy.
4. Start playback
Press ENTER/PLAY to enjoy the p ctures or
songs.
The p ctures w ll be d splayed n a style of a
sl deshow, there are many styles of trans t on
effects such as W pe Top (default mode), W pe
Bottom, W pe Left, W pe R ght, D agonal W pe
Left Top, D agonal W pe R ght Top, Extend
from Centre H, Compress to Centre H, W ndow
H, etc.
5. Rotate an image (for KODAK PICTURE CD/JPEG)

to rotate an mage:

How to select a playback audio setting
Th s DVD v deo player allows you to select a preferred language and sound record ng system from
those ncluded on the DVD v deo d sc.

The player returns to the initial default settings, when you turn on the DVD video player or
replace a disc.

The DVD video player plays a prior sound programmed on the disc, when you select a sound
which is not included on the disc.
Recording systems
Th s DVD v deo player uses the Dolby D g tal, MPEG 2, PCM and DTS record ng playback systems. It
cannot playback DVD v deo d scs recorded n any other record ng system.

MPEG 4 playback
Th s DVD player lets you play v deos saved n the popular MPEG 4 format. Every day there are
plenty of MPEG 4 f les world-w de be ng transm tted, shared and d str buted. Th s dev ce not only
supports DVD playback but also ncludes the latest MPEG 4 v deo decod ng technology.
What is MPEG 4?
MPEG 4 s an ISO/IEC standard developed by the MPEG (Mov ng P cture Experts Group), a comm ttee
that has also developed other standards that have won the Emmy Award as MPEG 1 and MPEG 2 (DVD
uses th s standard for v deo appl cat ons).
MPEG 4 s a very eff c ent, d g tal v deo compress ng standard that reduces the s ze of MPEG 2
v deos up to one e ghth of ts or g nal s ze. Most of the v deo stream ng med a are based on
th s technology, such as D vX, WMV, etc. MPEG 4 s therefore the most popular technology used for
transm tt ng and d str but ng v deos.
How to play MPEG 4 CDs
1. Press the OPEN/C OSE button.
Insert a CD nto the tray and press the button aga n to close the tray.
2. Select a folder or AV file that has been saved on the CD.
Press the arrow buttons to make your select on.
3. Press the ENTER/P AY button.
Playback starts.
How to create home-made MPEG 4 discs
1. Download the f les from the Internet or copy the v deo data from other v deo sources by us ng
your PC/Mac appl cat on, and save the MPEG 4 f le as an av , asf or other f le type.
2. Insert a blank CD-R/RW nto the CD-R/RW dr ve of your PC or any other d sc burner.
3. Wr te the MPEG 4 f les onto the CD-R/RW d sc by us ng a CD burn ng software
(e.g. Nero Burn ng, Clone CD, etc.).
