YS640/YS480 Magnetic Wrap Installation Instructions
IMPORTANT! Grill must be unplugged from power prior to performing the following procedure.
Parts Included:
1-Comp Cart Front Panel
1-Comp Cart Back Panel
1-Hopper End Panel
1-Chimney End Panel
2-Hopper Trim Panel
*NOTE* Prior to installing the magnetic wrap to your comp cart,
it is recommended to lay the wrap on a flat surface overnight
with an ambient air temperature of at least 70°F.
Installation Instructions:
1. Use the 3/8” Wrench and 7/16” wrench to remove the
6 bolts from the comp cart shown in FIG 1 and FIG 2.
2. Use the 5/32” Allen wrench and 7/16” wrench to
remove the Yoder Smokers signs from both sides of
the comp cart shown in FIG 3.
Tools Needed:
3/8” Wrench
7/16” Wrench
Phillips Screwdriver
5/32” Allen Wrench
5/16” Wrench
3. Unplug the male end of the power cord extension
from the hopper. (FIG 4) *NOTE* If your grill does not have
the male plug but instead has 3 wires coming out of the
hopper, refer to FIG 6 to disconnect the wires from the power
socket. Then use the Phillips screwdriver and 5/16”
wrench to remove the power socket and pull the plug
through the comp cart. (FIG 5)
Prior to installing the magnetic wrap, clean the surface of the
competition cart to remove any dirt/dust from the surface. It is
recommended that the wrap, the cart, and the ambient air
temperature are at least 60°F. If attempting to install at a
lower temperature, we recommend using a hair dryer to warm
up the temperature of the wrap and the temperature of the
cart until warm to the touch. Use extreme caution to not
overheat the wrap.

4. Install the front panel and chimney end panel by
aligning the top edge of the magnet panel to the top
edge of the comp cart. Starting from the top, smooth
out the wrap to fit the contours of the panel and
ensure all bolt holes line up. Center the hopper trim
panel to the top side of the cart next to the hopper. If
you are having issues with the front panel not fitting to
the contour of the cart, try warming up the surface
with a hair dryer as previously mentioned. (FIG 7)
5. Install the back panel and hopper end panel by
aligning the top edge of the magnet panel to the top
edge of the comp cart. Starting from the top, smooth
out the wrap to fit the contours of the panel and
ensure all bolt holes line up. Center the hopper trim
panel to the top side of the cart next to the hopper. If
you are having issues with the back panel not fitting to
the contour of the cart, try warming up the surface
with a hair dryer as previously mentioned. (FIG 8)
6. Ensure the magnetic wrap is smooth, all bolt holes in
the wrap line up with the holes in the cart, and that all
pieces are properly located. Insert the power cord
extension through the opening of the comp cart and
plug the cord into the hopper. (FIG 9) Then secure the
power socket using the Phillips screwdriver and 5/16”
wrench. (FIG 10)*NOTE* if you removed the 3 wires from
the power socket in step 3, refer to (FIG 11) for wire installation
to power socket.
7. Use the 5/32” Allen wrench and 7/16” wrench to
secure the Yoder Smokers signs onto both sides of
the comp cart shown in FIG 12.
8. Use the 3/8” Wrench and 7/16” wrench to secure the
6 bolts onto the comp cart shown in FIG 13.
