Installation Instructions
Make sure you have all of the proper components found in the contents section above
before starting the installation process for the Dual Battery bracket.

Step 1: Remove the Battery
Step 2: Install the Bosch Rear Battery Port
Only a certified Bosch Mechanic should perform this installation.

A. Use the 2 M5 bolts with a T25 drive to secure
the Holder Frame to the Battery Bracket.
(Part # 0275.007.426)
D. Use 2 thread forming M3 bolts with a T15 drive
to secure the Holder covers to the Holding Frame.
The Rear Battery Port is complete.
B. Weave the Frame Cable through the holder frame
and into the proper position. (Part # 1270.016.067)
C. Once the Frame Cable is in the proper position,
carefully slide plastic Holder Covers into place.
The Holder Covers should click into place.
(Part # 0275.007.425)

Step 3: Install the Bosch Battery Lock
A. Carefully place Abus lock into the
Bottom Lock Cover. The Lock should click
into place. (Part # 6074 & 1270.020.605)
C. Carefully place the Top Lock Cover onto the
Lock. The Top Lock Cover should click into place.
(Part # 1270.020.605)
D. Using 1 thread forming M3 bolt with a T15
drive, bolt the Top Lock Cover into position.
E. The Front Lock is complete.
B. Using the 2 M5 x 20 mm bolts with 4mm drive,
bolt the Abus Lock with the Bottom Lock Cover
and the Abus Lock Adapter into position. Check
to make sure the lock is the correct distance
away from the Rear Port.

Step 4: Pull out the Bosch Cable stored in the monotube
Step 5: Install the Bosch Adaptor to the monotube
A. Using the 3 M5 bolts with the 4mm drive, bolt the Bosch
Battery Bracket into postion and connect the end of the
Y-Cable to the end of the Frame Cable.
B. Tuck the excess cable back into the monotube.
B. Once you have pulled out the end of the Y-Cable
there should be a watertight cap on the end.
A. Pull the unused part of the Y- Cable out
of the monotube.
C. Pull the watertight cap off of the
end of the Y-Cable.

Step 7: Install Both Batteries onto Spicy Curry V3
Step 9: Update the Software on the Bosch Motor
Step 8: Recycle/Repurpose extra hardware (If applicable)
Step 6: Apply the“Do Not Charge” Decal onto the Charging Port
A. Peel back protective cap on the Rear battery Port revealing the charging port. Apply
“Do Not Charge” decal onto the charging port. Decal should seal off the charging port.
Plug Spicy Curry into
Bosch Diagnostic
Software.
Update bike rmware
when prompted to
enable dual battery.

Warnings and Safety Precautions
General warnings
• WARNING! Failure to comply with these instructions may lead to serious
injury or death.
• WARNING! Riding with an additional passenger may alter the riding
characteristics of your bicycle, decrease stability, and increase braking
distances.
• WARNING! Never leave a child unattended on the back of a bicycle.
• WARNING! Do not use with children who are too small or cannot balance/
support their own weight independently.
• Do not allow passengers body, clothing, shoe laces or other personal items
to come in contact with moving parts of the bicycle.
• Passenger should remain seated while bicycle is in motion.
• Ensure passenger is wearing an approved bicycle helmet.
• Never ride in inclement or hazardous situations.
• Ensure a rear reflector is installed and visible when a passenger is aboard.
• Never ride a bicycle at night without adequate lighting.
• Presence of an additional passenger may require alteration of the method
used by the rider to mount or dismount the bicycle. Care must be taken
whenever the rider gets on or off the bicycle.

• WARNING! These are ONLY supplemental instructions. Refer to Bosch for
more information on installation and safety precautions.
• WARNING! Check bolts for loosening or signs of distress regularly. If bolts
or threads show signs of distress, order replacement parts immediately.
