2. HDD QUICK INSTALLATION

Loosen the 4 screws on the back of
DVR.

Loosen the 3 screws on the one side of
DVR and the 3 on the other side.

1. ALARM TRIGGERING
There are four types of alarms: Motion detection, Video Loss Alarm,
External Alarm, and Digital Input from Camera. The following are the
possible actions when the alarm is triggered. Every action is
configurable (Ex. the screen display pattern, the relay triggered time.etc)
and will be explained in the later chapter.
A. When Motion detection occurs:
a. The live screen pattern can be switch to single channel screen or split
screen.
b. The external relay/ built-in buzzer can be triggered.
c. The alarm time point can be recorded in the event list, and you can
search for the event in playback.
d. On the channel which the alarm is triggered, the icon pops up to
remind the user.
e. The pre/ post-alarm recording video can be sent to e-mail/ uploaded to
FTP.
B. When the External Alarm or Digital Input from Camera has been
triggered:
a. The external relay/ built-in buzzer can be triggered.
b. The alarm time point can be recorded in the event list, and you can
search for the event in playback.
c. On the channel which the alarm is triggered, the icon pops up to
remind the user.

3. PTZ (PAN, TILT AND ZOOM) CAMERA
The following diagram shows the connection between the DVR and a PTZ
camera & joystick controller. To control the PTZ camera via DVR please
check the CAMERAID, BANDRATE (default at 9600 bps) and the RS-485
cable.
Under “Two Core” connection, the controller can control the speed dome
without any built-in protocol into the DVR. Moreover, one keyboard can be
connected to a of MAX 256 units.

LIVE VIEWING AND POP-UP MENU
If you cannot see the side control menu bar, move the mouse cursor to the
right side of the display screen to make it appear. It is usually set as displayed
at default.
Make it disappear by ticking off the box under the Lock Control.
There are two types of Live Viewing Modes: Split Screen Mode & Full Screen
Mode.
Split Screen Mode: Usually displayed at default.
Usually displayed at default. You may also click on the Display
Control icons from the side control menu bar to enter this mode.
Full Screen Mode:
Click on one of the sub-screens to view one specific single channel. See more
description on Display Control.

A. PLUG & PLAY
When you turn on the machine for the first time or one of the IP addresses
are set ENABLE:OFF, the system will ask you for assigning an IP
address to the IP Cameras for getting automatic connection.
The system will check addresses from 192.168.X.50, with X being the
DVR LAN.
Once the user executes the function, the IP address of the IP Camera will
changed if the IP Camera and the DVR address is under a different LAN.
The IP address will be assigned from 192.168.X.50

B. GUI MENU BAR
C. AUTO SWAP
Click it to start switch dwell for single live view. The interval duration
depends on IP Camera settings at “Image Setup”. On split screen, the
switch dwell interval is 5 sec.
D. DISPLAY CONTROL
On Live-viewing and Playback modes, switch the camera channels with
display control icons.
E. PTZ CONTROLLER
On live-view mode, click this button to open the PTZ control panel. NOTE:
Only for PTZ cameras.

After pressing the minimization icon, the control panel becomes
smaller:
When moving the mouse the arrow will follow the mouse and change
direction. On this mode the user can click on the live view to control
direction instead of using the direction key on the control panel.
If a fisheye camera is connected:
PTZ Steps:
(1) Select the channel number you want to setup.

(2) Select the View Mode, 360 degrees or 180 degrees.
(3) Select the camera location: ceiling, desk, or wall.
(4) Select the split screen pattern:
: 360 degree panorama view + sub screens x4
: 180 degree flat view + sub screens x2
: sub screens x4
(5) After you set the screen pattern, use the fisheye channel list to select
one of the sub screens. (just as the circle on the picture above). The
selected sub screen will be indicated in a red frame.
(6) For the selected sub screen, use the 4-direction arrows and the “+”
(zoom in) ”-” (zoom out) icon for E-PTZ control.
(7) Control Mode: Select the E-PTZ moving mode, step by step or
continuous.
(8) The AutoPan, Stop, and Patrol buttons are invalid here if the fisheye
camera doesn’t support those function.
F. DISK INFORMATION
Displays the disk information on live viewing mode.
G. DIGITAL ZOOMING
On live full screen mode, left-click to select a zoom-in or zoom-out range
for the image. The users can right-click for disabling this function. (NOTE:
the image can be zoom-in to max. 16x.)
H. AUDIO VOLUME
Click this button while you are viewing one single channel, and
the audio volume control board will pop up.
