rec mmended in these perating instructi ns and by the
manufacturer f the respective pr duct.

Any electrical and/or plumbing work required to install
this appliance should be carried out by a qualified
electrician and/or plumber or competent person.

Building-in
This dishwasher is designed t be fitted under a kitchen
c unter r w rksurface.
Attention!
Carefully f ll w the instructi ns n the encl sed template f r
building in the dishwasher and fitting the furniture panel.
N further penings f r the venting f the dishwasher are
required, but nly t let the water fill and drain h se and p wer
supply cable pass thr ugh.
The dishwasher inc rp rates adjustable feet t all w the
adjustment f the height.
During all perati ns that inv lve accessibility t internal
c mp nents the dishwasher has t be unplugged.
When inserting the machine, ensure that the water inlet h se,
the drain h se and the supply cable are n t kinked r
squashed.
Levelling
G d levelling is essential f r c rrect cl sure and sealing f
the d r.
When the appliance is c rrectly levelled, the d r will n t catch
n either side f the cabinet.
If the d r d es n t cl se c rrectly, l sen r tighten the
adjustable feet until the machine is perfectly level.
Fixing to the adjacent units
The dishwasher must be secured against tilting.
Theref re make sure that the c unter it is fixed under, is
suitably secured t a fixed structure (adjacent kitchen units
cabinets, wall).
ater supply connections
This dishwasher may be fed with either h t (max. 50°) r c ld
water. Nevertheless we advise y u a c ld water supply.
A h t water supply is n t always efficient with very s iled
cr ckery as it sh rtens the washing pr grammes a l t.
F r making the c nnecti n itself, the c upling nut fitted t the
machine’s supply h se is designed t screw nt either a 3/4"
inch gas thread sp ut r t a purp se made quick-c upling tap
such as the Press-bl ck.
The water pressure must be within the limits given in the
"Technical specificati ns". Y ur l cal Water Auth rity will
advise y u n the average mains pressure in y ur area.
The water inlet h se must n t be kinked, crushed, r entangled
when it is being c nnected up.
The dishwasher features fill and drain h ses which can be
turned either t the left r the right t suit the installati n by
means f the l cknut. The locknut must be correctly fitted
to avoid water leaks. (Attention! NOT all m dels f
dishwashers have fill and drain h ses pr vided with l cknut. In
this case, this kind f facility is n t p ssible).
If the machine is c nnected t new pipes r pipes which have
n t been used f r a l ng time, y u sh uld run the water f r a
few minutes bef re c nnecting the inlet h se.
Do not use, for connection, old hoses which have been
used in another appliance.
The dishwasher is fitted with safety devices that prevent the
wash water returning int the drinking water system and
c mply with the applicable plumbing regulati ns.
ater inlet hose with safety valve
After c nnecting the d uble-walled water inlet h se, the safety
valve is next t the tap. Theref re the water inlet h se is nly
under pressure while the water is running. If the water inlet
h se starts t leak during this perati n, the safety valve cuts
ff the running water.
Please take care when installing the water inlet hose:
- The distance between the b tt m edge f the safety value
and the fl r n which the dishwasher is standing must be at
least 30 cm:
- The electrical cable f r the safety valve is in the d uble-
walled water inlet h se. D n t immerse the water inlet h se
r the safety valve in water.
- If water inlet h se r the safety valve is damaged, rem ve
the mains plug immediately.
- A water inlet h se with safety valve must nly be replaced by
a specialist r by the c nsumer services department.
- Place the water inlet h se in such a way that it is never
higher than the b tt m edge f the safety valve.

ater outlet hose connection
The end f the drain h se can be c nnected in the f ll wing
ways:
1. T the sink utlet spig t, securing it t the underside f the
w rk surface. This will prevent waste water fr m the sink
running int the machine.
2. H ked ver the edge f the sink using the special curved
plastic guide (if pr vided with the machine).
3. T a stand pipe pr vided with vent-h le, minimum internal
diameter 4 cm.
The waste c nnecti n must be at a height f between 30 cm
(minimum) and 100 cm (maximum) fr m the b tt m f the
dishwasher.
The drain h se can face either t the right r left f the
dishwasher
Ensure the h se is n t bent r squashed as this c uld prevent
r sl w d wn the discharge f water.
The sink plug must n t be in place when the machine is
draining as this c uld cause the water t siph n back int the
machine.
If y u use a drain h se extensi n it must be n l nger than 2
metres and its internal diameter must be n smaller than the
diameter f the h se pr vided.
Likewise the internal diameter f the c uplings used f r
c nnecti ns t the waste utlet must be n smaller than the
diameter f the h se pr vided.
Attention!
Our appliances are supplied with a security device t pr tect
against the return f dirty water back int the machine.
If the spig t f y ur sink has a "n return valve" inc rp rated
this can prevent the c rrect draining f y ur dishwasher.
We advise y u theref re t rem ve it.
Electrical connection
Inf rmati n c ncerning the electrical c nnecti n is given n the
rating plate n the edge f the dishwasher’s d r.
Bef re plugging the appliance int the wall s cket, make sure
that:
1. The mains v ltage and current rating at the site f
installati n match the n minal v ltage and current rating
given n the rating plate.
2. The meter, fuses, mains p wer supply and wall s cket can
all take the maximum l ad required. Make sure that the
s cket and plug are c mpatible with ut having t use any
type f adapt r. If necessary, have the d mestic wiring
system s cket replaced.
T is late the dishwasher fr m mains, rem ve the mains plug.
Important!
The plug must still be accessible after the appliance
has been installed.
In case that the electrical cable has to be replaced,
please contact your local consumer services
department.
The appliance should not be connected to the
electrical supply by means of an extension cable.
Safety standards require the appliance to be
earthed.
The manufacture accepts no liability for failure to
observe the above safety precautions.

Audible signals
Audible signals have been intr duced t help indicate which
perati ns the dishwasher is perf rming:
"End of programme"
"Set of the water softener"
"Something not working with the machine"
To deactivate the audible signals
1. With the dishwasher switched ff, press the On/Off push
butt n, all indicat r lights f the pr gramme push butt ns
will illuminate (setting m de).
2. Press simultane usly functi n push butt ns 2and 3, the
indicat r lights f the functi n push butt ns 1, 2and 3start
flashing.
3. Press the functi n push butt n 3, the indicat r lights f
functi n push butt ns 1and 2turn ff while the indicat r
light f the push butt n 3g es n flashing, at the same time
the "end of programme" indicat r light illuminates
indicating that the audible signals are active.
4. T deactivate the audible signals, press again the functi n
push butt n 3, the "end of programme" indicat r light
turns ff, indicating that the audible signals have been
deactivated.
5. T mem rise the perati n, switch ff the dishwasher by
pressing the On/Off push butt n r wait ab ut 60 sec nds
after which the dishwasher will aut matically return t
setting m de.

Prior to using for the first time
Bef re using y ur dishwasher f r the first time:
1. Ensure that the electrical and water c nnecti ns c mply
with the installati n instructi ns
2. Rem ve all packaging fr m inside the appliance
3. Set the water s ftener
4. P ur 1 litre f water inside the salt c ntainer and then fill
with salt
5. Fill the rinse aid dispenser
Setting the water softener
The dishwasher is equipped with a water s ftener designed t
rem ve minerals and salts fr m the water supply, which w uld
have a detrimental r adverse effect n the perati n f the
appliance.
The higher the c ntent f these salts, the harder y ur water is.
Water hardness is measured in equivalent scales, German
degrees, French degrees and PPM (parts per Milli n).
The s ftener sh uld be adjusted acc rding t the hardness f
the water in y ur area. Y ur l cal Water Auth rity can advise
y u n the hardness f the water in y ur area.
The water s ftener must be set in b th ways: manually, using
the water hardness switch and electr nically, using the functi n
push butt ns n the c ntr l panel.
If your water is level 1 it is already soft and therefore there
is no need to use salt.
a) Setting manually
1. Open the dishwasher d r.
2. Rem ve the l wer basket fr m the dishwasher.
3. Turn the water hardness switch t p siti n 1 r 2 (see
table).
4. Replace the l wer basket.
The dishwasher is fact ry set
at p siti n 2.
b) Setting electronically
The dishwasher is fact ry set at level 5. If it’s necessary t set
a new level, pr ceed as f ll ws.
1. With the dishwasher switched ff, press the On/Off push
butt n, all indicat r lights f the pr gramme push butt ns
will illuminate (setting m de).
2. Press simultane usly functi n push butt ns 2and 3, the
indicat r lights f the functi n push butt ns 1, 2and 3start
flashing.
3. Press the functi n push butt n 1, the indicat r lights f
functi n push butt ns 2and 3turn ff while the indicat r
light f the push butt n 1g es n flashing, at the same time
the "end of programme" indicat r light illuminates, al ng
with a sequence f audible signals.
The current level is indicated by the number f flashes and
audible signals.
Example: 5 flashes + 5 audible signals = level 5
4. T change the level, press push butt n 1. Each time the
push butt n is pressed the level changes.
Examples:
if the current level is 5, by pressing push butt n 1nce,
level 6 is selected.
if the current level is 10, by pressing push butt n 1nce,
level 1 is selected.
5. T mem rise the perati n, switch ff the dishwasher by
pressing the On/Off push butt n r wait ab ut 60 sec nds
after which the dishwasher will aut matically return t

Use
of salt

Filling with salt
Only use salt specifically designed for use in
dishwashers.
All other types of salt not specifically designed for use in
a dishwasher, especially table salt, will damage the water
softener.
Only fill with salt just before starting one of the complete
washing programmes.
This will prevent any grains of salt or salty water, which
may have been spilt, remaining on the bottom of the
machine for any period of time, which may cause
corrosion.
To fill:
1. Open the d r, rem ve the l wer basket and unscrew the
cap f the salt c ntainer by turning it anticl ckwise.
2. P ur 1 litre f water inside the c ntainer (this is necessary
only before filling with salt for the first time).
3. Using the funnel pr vided,
p ur in the salt until the
c ntainer is full.
4. Replace the cap making
sure that there is n trace
f salt n the screw
thread r n the gasket.
5. Screw n the cap tightly
turning it cl ckwise until it
st ps with a click.
The salt c ntainer will
require t pping up peri dically.
Asalt indicator light n the c ntr l panel will c me n when
the salt has finished.
The salt indicator light on the control panel can remain
illuminated for 2-6 hours after the salt has been
replenished, assuming the dishwasher remains switched
on. If you are using salts that take longer to dissolve then
this can take longer. The function of the machine is not
affected.
D n t w rry if water ver fl ws fr m the unit when filling with
salt, this is quite n rmal.
Rinse aid
Rinse aid is aut matically added during the last rinse, ensuring
th r ugh rinsing, and sp t and streak free drying.
The dispenser, which is p siti ned inside the d r, h lds ab ut
110 ml f rinse aid, which is sufficient f r 16 - 40 dishwashing
pr grammes, depending up n the d sage setting.
Filling with rinse aid
1. Open the c ntainer by pressing the release butt n (A).
2. Add the rinse aid until the c ntainer is c mpletely full. The
maximum level f r filling is indicated by "max".
Ensure that the lid is closed after every refill.
Clean up any rinse aid spilt during filling with an
absorbent cloth to avoid excess foaming during the next
wash.
Only use branded rinse aid for dishwashers. Never fill the
rinse aid dispenser with any other substances (e.g.
dishwasher cleaning agent, liquid detergent). This would
damage the appliance.
Adjusting the dose
Acc rding t the finish and drying results btained, adjust the
d se f rinse aid by means f the 6 p siti n select r (p siti n
1 minimum d sage, p siti n 6 maximum d sage).
Increase the d se if there are
dr ps f water r lime sp ts
n the dishes after washing.
The d se is fact ry set in
p siti n 4.
Reduce it if there are sticky
whitish streaks n the dishes.

If y u are using dishwasher detergent that includes the rinse
aid functi n, this must be placed in the detergent c mpartment.
In this case the infl w f the rinse aid must be deactivated, in
rder t av id a d uble d sage .
Deactivation/activation of the inflow of
rinse aid
(The dishwasher must be switched ff)
hen the inflow of rinse aid has been deactivated, also
the rinse aid indicator light on the control panel is
automatically deactivated.
1. Press the On/Off push butt n, all indicat r lights f the
pr gramme push butt ns will illuminate (setting m de).
2. Press simultane usly functi n push butt ns 2and 3, the
indicat r lights f the functi n push butt ns 1, 2and 3start
flashing.
3. Press the functi n push butt n 2, the indicat r lights f

The lower basket
The l wer basket is designed t take saucepans, lids, plates,
salad b wls, cutlery etc.
Serving dishes and large lids sh uld be arranged ar und the
edge f the basket, ensuring that the spray arms can turn
freely.
The cutlery basket
Long bladed knives stored in an upright position are a
potential hazard.
Long and/or sharp items of cutlery such as carving knives
must be positioned horizontally in the upper basket.
Take care when loading or unloading sharp items such as
knives.
F rks and sp ns sh uld be placed in the rem vable cutlery
basket with the handles facing d wnwards and the knives with
their handles facing upwards.
If the handles pr trude fr m the b tt m f the basket,
bstructing the l wer spray arm, l ad the cutlery with the
handles facing upwards.

Loading cutlery and dishes
Sponges, household cloths and any object that can
absorb water may not be washed in the dishwasher.

●When l ading the dishes and cutlery, please n te:
- Dishes and cutlery must n t impede the r tati n f the
spray arms .
- L ad h ll w items such as cups, glasses, pans, etc. with
the pening d wnwards s that water cann t c llect in the
c ntainer r a deep base.
- Dishes and items f cutlery must n t lie inside ne
an ther, r c ver each ther.
- T av id damage t glasses, they must n t t uch.
- Lay small bjects in the cutlery basket.
●Plastic items and pans with teflon have a tendency to
retain water drops; these items will not dry as well as
porcelain and steel items.
For washing in the dishwasher the following cutlery/dishes
are of limited suitability:
- Only wash st neware in the dishwasher if it is specifically
marked as being dishwasher-safe by the manufacturer.
- Glazed patterns may fade if machine washed frequently
- Silver and aluminium parts have a tendency t disc l ur
during washing. Left- vers, e.g. egg white, egg y lk and
mustard ften cause disc l uring and staining n silver.
Theref re always clean left- vers fr m silver immediately, if
it is n t t be washed straight after use.

are not suitable:
- Cutlery with w den, h rn, china r
m ther- f-pearl handles
- Plastic items that are n t heat resistant
- Older cutlery with glued parts that is n t
temperature resistant

- Steel items subject t rusting

The upper basket
The upper basket is designed f r plates (dessert plates,
saucers, dinner plates f up t 24 cm in diameter), salad
b wls, cups and glasses.

rotate freely.
Adjusting the height of the upper basket
If washing very large plates y u can l ad them in the l wer

Use of detergent
Only use detergents specifically designed for use in
dishwashers.
Using no more then the correct amount of detergent
contributes to reducing pollution.

released during the washing phase.

Fill with detergent
1. If the lid is cl sed: press release butt n (1). The lid springs
pen.
2. Fill the detergent dispenser (2) with detergent.
The marking indicates the d sing levels:
20 = appr ximately 20 g f detergent
30 = appr ximately 30 g f detergent
3. All pr grammes with prewash need a little am unt f
detergent (5/10 g) t be added in the adjacent chamber (3).

Detergent tablets
Detergent tablets f different brands diss lve at different
speeds. F r this reas n s me detergent tablets cann t
diss lve and devel p their full cleaning p wer during sh rt
pr grammes. Theref re please use l ng pr grammes when
using detergent tablets, t ensure the c mplete rem val f
detergent residuals.
Do not place the tablets in the tub or in the cutlery basket
as this will result in poorer wash results. The tablets
should be placed in the detergent dispenser.
Concentrated detergent
Based n their chemical c mp siti n, dishwasher detergents
can be split int tw basic types:
- c nventi nal, alkaline detergents with caustic c mp nents.
- l w alkaline c ncentrated detergents with natural enzymes.
The use f 50°C washing pr grammes in c njuncti n with
c ncentrated detergents reduces p lluti n and is g d f r y ur
dishes; these wash pr grammes are specially matched t the
dirt-diss lving pr perties f the enzymes in the c ncentrated
detergent. F r this reas n 50°C wash pr grammes in which
c ncentrated detergents are used can achieve the same
results that can therwise nly be achieved using 65°C
pr grammes.
Combi detergents
If y u are using dishwasher detergent that includes the rinse
aid functi n, this must be placed in the detergent c mpartment.
In this case the rinse aid infl w must be deactivated, in rder t
av id a d uble d sage.
Use of "3 in 1" combi detergents
General advice
These pr ducts are detergents with integrated and c mbined
detergent/rinse-aid and salt functi ns.
1. Bef re using these pr ducts y u sh uld first check that the
water hardness in y ur supply is c mpatible with the use f
these pr ducts as per the detergent manufacturers ( n the
pr duct packaging).
2. These pr ducts sh uld be strictly used acc rding t the
detergent manufacturers instructi ns.

select f r ab ut 6 sec nds, the indicat r light f the
running pr gramme starts t flash.
The indicat r light f the running pr gramme turns ff
and at the same time the indicat r light f the new
selected pr gramme will illuminate.
The new pr gramme will start aut matically nce the
dishwasher d r is cl sed.
To cancel a washing programme
Open the dishwasher d r.
Press simultane usly the functi n push butt ns 2and 3
f r ab ut 2 sec nds, the indicat r light f the running
pr gramme will start flashing. After ab ut 2 sec nds all
the indicat r lights f the pr gramme push butt ns will
illuminate indicating that the running pr gramme has
been cancelled and that the machine has returned t
setting m de.
It is n w p ssible t select and start a new washing
pr gramme.
6. Setting/cancelling the "delay start"
The setting of the delay start occurs after selecting
the programme.
Setting the "delay start"
Press the "delay start" push butt n until the indicat r light
c rresp nding t the ch sen h urs flashes (3, 6 r 9
h urs).
The c untd wn will start nly nce that the d r has
been cl sed, until that m ment it is still p ssible t
change the selecti n made. If the c untd wn has n t yet
started (cl sen d r) it is als p ssible t cancel the
delay selecti n by simply pressing the "delay start" push
butt n until the indicat r lights f the h urs are n l nger
illuminated. (In this case the selected washing
pr gramme will start aut matically nce the d r is
cl sed).
Cl se the d r, the c untd wn will start aut matically.
The c untd wn will decrease with step f 3 h urs.
The pening f the d r will n t st p the c untd wn.
Once the delay start has elapsed the pr gramme will
start aut matically.
Cancelling a "delay start" in progress
T cancel a delay start in pr gress y u must f ll w the
same pr cedure as f r cancelling a running pr gramme
(see "T cancel a washing pr gramme") .
In this case the washing pr gramme must be set again.
7. End of the washing programme
The dishwasher will aut matically st p and an
intermittent audible signal inf rms y u f the end f the
washing pr gramme.
The indicat r light f the pr gramme just ended remains
illuminated and the end of programme indicat r light
will illuminate.
H t steam may escape fr m the appliance when pening
the d r immediately after the end f the pr gramme,
theref re, open the door carefully.
Switch ff the dishwasher by pressing the On/Off push
butt n.
Unloading the dishwasher
H t dishes are sensitive t kn cks. The dishes sh uld
theref re be all wed t c l d wn bef re rem ving fr m
the appliance.
Leave the dishes in the dishwasher f r appr x. 15
minutes, with the d r ajar, after the end f pr gramme
s that they dry better and will be c ler.
Empty the l wer basket first and then the upper ne; this
will av id water dripping fr m the upper basket nt the
dishes in the l wer ne.
hen the washing programme has finished, it is
recommended that the dishwasher is unplugged and the
water tap turned off.
Starting a washing programme

Clean the external surfaces f the machine and c ntr l panel
with a damp s ft cl th. If necessary use nly neutral
detergents. Never use abrasive pr ducts, sc uring pads r
s lvent (acet ne, trichl r ethylene etc....).
Ensure that the seals ar und the d r, the detergent and rinse
aid dispensers are cleaned regularly with a damp cl th.
We rec mmend every 3 m nths t run a 65°C wash
pr gramme with ut dishes using detergent.
Cleaning the filters
The filters in the base f the washing c mpartment are t a
large extent self-cleaning. Nevertheless the filters sh uld be
checked and cleaned fr m time t time. Dirty filters will
degrade the washing result.
1. Open the d r, rem ve the l wer basket.
2. The dishwasher filter system c mprises a c arse/fine filter
(A/B), a micr filter (C) and a flat filter (D).
S me dishwasher will nly have a c arse filter (A), a
micr filter (C) and a flat filter (D).
Unl ck the filter system using the handle n the micr filter,
and rem ve.
3. Turn the handle ab ut 1/4a turn anticl ckwise and rem ve.
4. Take h ld f the c arse/fine filter (A/B) by the handle with
the h le and rem ve fr m the micr filter (C).
5. Clean all filters th r ughly under running water.
6. Rem ve the flat filter (D) fr m the base f the washing
c mpartment and clean b th faces th r ughly.
7. Put the flat filter (D) back in the base f the washing
c mpartment.
8. Place the c arse/fine filter (A/B) in the micr filter C) and
press t gether.
9. Put the filter c mbinati n in place and l ck by turning the
handle cl ckwise t the st p. During this pr cess ensure
that the flat filter d es n t pr trude ab ve the base f the
washing c mpartment.
Under no circumstances may the dishwasher be used
without filters.
Incorrect repositioning and fitting of the filters will
produce poor washing results.

Prolonged periods of non-operation
