These warnings are provided in the interests of your safety. Ensure that you understand them all
before installing or using this appliance. Your safety is of paramount importance. If you are unsure
about any of the meanings or these warnings contact the Customer Care Department.
Prior to installation
Check the appl ance for transport damage. Under
no c rcumstances should a damaged appl ance be
nstalled. In the event of damage please contact
your reta ler.
Installation
Th s appl ance s heavy. Care should be taken when
mov ng t.
It s dangerous to alter the spec f cat ons or attempt
to mod fy th s product n any way.
Ensure that the appl ance does not stand on the
electr cal supply cable. If the supply cable s
damaged, t must be replaced by a cable ava lable
from your local Serv ce Force Centre.
Any electr cal work requ red to nstall th s appl ance
should be carr ed out by a qual f ed electr c an or
competent person.
Parts wh ch heat up should not be exposed.
Whenever poss ble, the back of the appl ance
should be close to a wall, but leav ng the requ red
d stance for vent lat on, as stated n the nstallat on
nstruct ons.
The appl ance should be left for 2 hours after
nstallat on before t s turned on, n order to allow
the refr gerant to settle.
Child Safety
Do not allow ch ldren to tamper w th the controls or
play w th the product.
There s a r sk of suffocat on! Keep packag ng
mater al away from ch ldren!
During Use
Th s appl ance s des gned for domest c use only,
spec f cally for the storage of ed ble foodstuffs. It s
not ntended for commerc al or ndustr al use.
aintenance and Cleaning
Before clean ng, always sw tch off the appl ance
and d sconnect from the electr cal supply.
When unplugg ng always pull the plug from the
ma ns socket, do not pull on the cable.
Servicing
Th s product should be serv ced by an
author sed eng neer and only genu ne spare
parts should be used.
Under no c rcumstances should you attempt to
repa r the appl ance yourself. Repa rs carr ed out
by nexper enced persons may cause njury or
ser ous malfunct on ng. Contact your local
Serv ce Force Centre.
At the end of the Appliance Life
When d spos ng of your appl ance use an
author sed d sposal s te.
Remove the plug and ensure that any locks or
catches are removed, to prevent young ch ldren
be ng trapped ns de.
Safety precautions for isobutane
Warning
The refr gerant sobutane (R 600a) s conta ned
w th n the refr gerant c rcu t of the appl ance, a
natural gas w th a h gh level of env ronmental
compat b l ty, wh ch s nevertheless flammable.
Keep vent lat on open ngs, n the appl ance
enclosure or n the bu lt- n structure, clear of
obstruct on.
Do not use mechan cal dev ces or other means
to accelerate the defrost ng process, other than
those recommended by the manufacturer.
Do not damage the refr gerant c rcu t.
Do not use electr cal appl ances ns de the food
storage compartments of the appl ance.

General information

To ensure correct operat on, the appl ance should
be located where the amb ent temperature s
between 16-32 °C.

Using the Appliance
Before Use
Remove all secur ng tapes.
Wash the ns de of the appl ance w th lukewarm water
w th a l ttle b carbonate of soda added (5 ml to 0,5 l tre
of water). Do not use soap or detergent as the smell
may l nger. Dry the appl ance thoroughly.
Do not use detergents, abrasive powders,
highly perfumed cleaning products, wax
polishes or products containing alcohol.
FFTo Start the Appliance
1. Allow the appl ance to stand for 2 hrs after
nstallat on.
2. Plug n the appl ance and sw tch on at the ma ns
supply.
3. Turn the thermostat control to the requ red sett ng.
A sett ng of 3 s usually su table for normal
operat on (see thermostat control).
4. Leave the appl ance for approx mately 4 hours for
the correct temperature to be reached before
plac ng food ns de.
Thermostat Control
The thermostat control knob s tuated ns de the
refr gerator regulates the temperature of the larder
compartment. Thermostat control s marked from 1-5
the h gher the number, the colder the sett ng.

Hints for storage
Below s the recommended storage pos t ons for

Storage Shelves
The var able shelves ncrease the usefulness of the
fresh food compartment. The shelves can be
rearranged by open ng the door to 90°.
The door shelves can also be rearranged to your
requ rements.
Hints & Tips
Food Storage
To obta n the best results from your appl ance
ne ther hot foods nor l qu ds wh ch may evaporate,
should be placed n the larder compartment.
Keep the t me between buy ng ch lled food and
plac ng t n your fr dge as short as poss ble.
Do not push food together too much, try to allow a r
to c rculate around each tem.
Do not store food uncovered.
Remove suspect food from your refr gerator and
clean, refer to clean ng and ma ntenance.
Energy Saving Advice
Do not nstall the cab net close to sources of
heat, such as a cooker, d shwasher or rad ator.
Locate the appl ance n a cool well vent lated
room and make sure that the a r open ngs of the
cab net are not obstructed.
Always leave warm food to cool down to room
temperature before plac ng n the fr dge.
Try to avo d keep ng the door open for long
per ods, or open ng the door too frequently as
warm a r w ll enter the cab net, and cause the
compressor to sw tch on unnecessar ly often.
Ensure there are no obstruct ons prevent ng the
door from clos ng properly.
It s adv sable to per od cally clean the
refr gerat on system at the back of the appl ance
w th a duster or vacuum cleaner.

Before any maintenance of cleaning work is
carried out DISC NNECT the appliance from
the ELECTRICITY SUPPLY.
Internal Cleaning
Clean the ns de and accessor es w th warm water and
b carbonate of soda (5 ml to 0.5 l tre of water). R nse
and dry thoroughly.
Do not use detergents, abrasive powders,
highly perfumed cleaning products, wax
polishes or cleaning products containing
bleach or alcohol.
Clean the dra n hole of the water trough at regular
ntervals and ensure that the dra n hole s clear at all
t mes. If blocked carefully clear us ng a p ece of
flex ble curta n w re nserted nto the dra n outlet to
remove the blockage.
Regularly check the door seals and w pe clean to
ensure they are clean and free from debr s.

External Cleaning
Wash the outer cab net w th warm soapy water.
Do N T use abrasive products.
There are sharp edges on the underside of
the product so care should be taken when
cleaning.
Once or tw ce a year dust the condenser (black gr lle)
and the compressor at the back of the appl ance w th
a brush or vacuum cleaner, as an accumulat on of dust
w ll affect the performance of the appl ance and cause
excess ve electr c ty consumpt on.
Changing the Light Bulb
Defrosting Your Appliance
The fr dge compartment s defrosted automat cally,
when the motor stops. Defrost water from the cool ng
plate runs out of the dra n and onto a tray on the motor
compressor where t evaporates. Droplets of water on
the cool ng plate dur ng defrost ng are qu te normal
and w ll freeze on the plate afterwards.
When the appliance is not in use
When the appl ance s not n use for long per ods
d sconnect from the electr c ty supply, empty all of the
food and clean the appl ance, leav ng the door ajar to
prevent unpleasant smells.
Should the l ght fa l to work you can change t as
below:
D sconnect the appl ance from the electr c ty supply.
Remove the lamp cover reta n ng screws, then take
the lamp cover off n the d rect on of the arrow and the
bulb can be changed. (Type of the bulb: 230 V, 15 W,
E 14 thread)
After chang ng the bulb replace the lamp cover, and
reta n ng screws and reconnect the appl ance to the
electr c ty supply.

Solution
Check there s power at the socket.
Check there s not a power cut by check ng the
household l ghts.
Check the fuse has not blown.
Check the thermostat control knob sett ng.
Check the amb ent temperature s w th n the
appl ances operat ng l m ts of 16 °C to 32 °C.
Check that the thermostat control knob s turned to
the correct sett ng relat ve to amb ent cond t ons.
Set the thermostat control knob to a warmer
pos t on.
Check the door has not been left open.
Check noth ng s prevent ng the door from clos ng.
Check the door gasket s ntact and clean.
Check f the appl ance stands stable (all four feet
should be on the floor).
Check the dra n hole s not blocked (see
'Ma ntenance and Clean ng').

If after the above checks your appl ance st ll does not
operate correctly, contact your local Zanuss Serv ce
Force Centre.

of purchase for any n-guarantee serv ce calls.
In-guarantee customers should ensure that the
above checks have been made, as the
engineer will make a charge if the fault is not a
mechanical or electrical breakdown.
