retained with the appliance for future reference. Should
the appliance be sold or transferred to another owner, or
should you move house and leave the appliance, always
ensure that the book is left with the appliance in order that
the new owner can get to know the functioning of the
appliance and the relevant safety information.
This information has been provided in the interest of your
safety. You MUST read it carefully before installing or
using the appliance.
Installation
●Check yo r dishwasher for any transport damage. Never
connect a damaged machine. If yo r dishwasher is
damaged, yo sho ld contact yo r s pplier.
●For safety reasons it is dangero s to alter the specifications
or attempt to modify this prod ct in any way.
●Any electrical and pl mbing work req ired to install this
appliance sho ld be carried o t by a q alified and
competent person.
●Care m st be taken to ens re that the appliance does not
stand on the electrical s pply cable.
●The sides of the dishwasher m st never be drilled to
prevent damage to hydra lic components.
Child safety
●This appliance is designed to be operated by ad lts.
●Children sho ld not be allowed to tamper with the controls
or play with the prod ct.
●Packaging parts may be dangero s for children, who co ld
even be s ffocated! Yo sho ld therefore keep all
packaging well away from children.
●The water in yo r dishwasher is not for drinking. Detergent
resid es may still be present in yo r machine. Keep
children well away from yo r dishwasher when the door is
open.
●Keep all detergents in a safe place o t of children's reach.
Your dishwasher in day-to-day use
●Items that are contaminated by petrol, paint, steel or iron
debris, corrosive, acidic or alkaline chemicals m st not be
washed in this dishwasher.
●Under no circ mstances sho ld yo open the door whilst
the appliance is in operation, especially d ring the washing
phase, hot water may escape. However, if the door is
opened, a safety device ens res that the machine stops.
●Only se prod cts (detergent, salt and rinse aid) specifically
designed for se in dishwashers.
●Long bladed knives stored in an pright position are a
potential hazard.
●Long and/or sharp items of c tlery s ch as carving knives
m st be positioned horizontally in the pper basket.
●When finishing loading or nloading close the door, as an
open door can be a hazard.
●Do not sit or stand on the open door.
●Isolate the appliance from the power s pply and t rn off the
water s pply after se.
●This prod ct sho ld be serviced by an a thorised service
engineer, and only gen ine spare parts sho ld be sed.
●Under no circ mstances sho ld yo attempt to repair the
machine yo rself. Repairs carried o t by inexperienced
persons may ca se inj ry or serio s malf nctioning.

insist on gen ine spare parts.
Disposal
Dispose of the dishwasher packaging material correctly.
All packaging materials can be recycled.
Plastic parts are marked with standard international
abbreviations:
>PE< for polyethylene, e.g. sheet wrapping material.
>PS< for polystyrene, e.g. padding material (always CFC-
free).
>POM< for polyoxymethylene, e.g. plastic clips.
Cardboard packaging is man fact red from recycled paper
and sho ld be deposited in the waste paper collection for
recycling.
As and when yo cease to se yo r dishwasher and withdraw
it from service, yo r sho ld render it nserviceable before
having it disposed of.
Warning! Children at play co ld lock themselves in yo r
dishwasher or otherwise endanger their lives. Therefore c t off
the power s pply cable and make the door closing device
n sable to prevent children from being trapped inside.
For the disposing of the appliance please take it to a recycling
centre or to yo r dealer who will, for a small contrib tion to the
costs, dispose it for yo .

Description of the appliance

Function push buttons: in addition to the dishwashing
programme selected, the following f nctions can also be set
with the help of these b ttons.
"Half load push button": this option is sef l and
economical when only a few dishes need washing. The
prewash phase is a tomatically excl ded when this option is
selected.
Remember to load both baskets. The corresponding indicator
light will come on when the "half load"option is selected .
With the programme "Quick 60° A 30'" the "half load" option
is a tomatically deactivated.
"Delay start" push button: this option allows the start
of the programme to be delayed by 3, 6 or 9 ho rs.
Indicator lights: have the following meanings:
The salt and rinse aid indicator lights are never ill minated
while a washing programme is r nning even if filling with salt
and rinse aid is necessary.
Phase indicator lights: have the following meanings:
As soon as yo select a washing programme, the phase
indicator lights for that programme will start flashing.
As the programme starts, the phase indicator lights t rn off
except for the indicator light of the phase in progress which will
remain lit with a static light.

Before sing yo r dishwasher for the first time:
1. Ens re that the electrical and water connections comply
with the installation instr ctions
2. Remove all packaging from inside the appliance
3. Set the water softener
4. Po r 1 litre of water inside the salt container and then fill
with salt
5. Fill the rinse aid dispenser
Setting the water softener
The dishwasher is eq ipped with a water softener designed to
remove minerals and salts from the water s pply, which wo ld
have a detrimental or adverse effect on the operation of the
appliance.
The higher the content of these salts, the harder yo r water is.
Water hardness is meas red in eq ivalent scales, German
degrees, French degrees and PPM (parts per Million).
The softener sho ld be adj sted according to the hardness of
the water in yo r area. Yo r local Water A thority can advise
yo on the hardness of the water in yo r area.
The water softener m st be set in both ways: man ally, sing
the water hardness switch and electronically, sing the f nction
p sh b ttons on the control panel.
If your water is level 1 it is already soft and therefore there
is no need to use salt.
Setting manually
1. Open the dishwasher door.
2. Remove the lower basket from the dishwasher.
3. T rn the water hardness switch to position 1 or 2 (see
table).
4. Replace the lower basket.
The dishwasher is factory set at position 2.
Setting electronically
The dishwasher is factory set at level 3. If it’s necessary to set
a new level, proceed as follows.
1. With the dishwasher switched off press f nction p sh
b ttons 1and 2sim ltaneo sly .
2. While keeping the p sh b ttons 1and 2pressed switch on
the dishwasher by pressing the On/Off p sh b tton.
The On/Off indicator light comes on.
At the same time, the indicator lights of p sh b ttons 1and
2start flashing.
3. Press p sh b tton 1, the indicator light of p sh b tton 2
t rns off, while the indicator light of p sh b tton 1remains
fixed for abo t 5 seconds, after this it starts flashing
indicating the c rrent level of the water softener.
The c rrent level is indicated by the n mber of flashes
made by the indicator light of p sh b tton 1, that alternates
5 seconds off with a n mber of flashes, this for abo t 60
seconds.
Example:
1 flash = level 1
2 flashes = level 2
3 flashes = level 3
4 flashes = level 4
5 flashes = level 5
4. To change the level, press p sh b tton 1. Each time the
p sh b tton is pressed the level changes.
Example:
if the c rrent level is 3, by pressing p sh b tton 1once,
level 4 is selected.
if the c rrent level is 5, by pressing p sh b tton 1once,
level 1 is selected.
The indicator light of p sh b tton 1remains off for abo t 5
seconds after which it starts flashing indicating the new
level selected.
5. To memorise the new level, switch off the dishwasher by
pressing the On/Off p sh b tton.

Filling with salt
Special salt can be added in one of two ways:
●If yo are sing dishwasher detergent that already contains
salt, the detergent incl ding the salt is placed in the
detergent compartment.
- In this case the water softener m st man ally be set to 1
and electronically to 1 to ens re that the special salt is
taken from the detergent container only.
●If yo are sing dishwasher detergent and salt separately,
the special salt is to be p t into the salt container.
- In this case the water softener m st man ally be set to 1
or 2 and electronically between 1 and 5 (depending on
the water hardness in yo r area) to ens re that the
special salt is taken from the detergent container only.
Only use salt specifically designed for use in
dishwashers.
All other types of salt not specifically designed for use in
a dishwasher, especially table salt, will damage the water
softener.
Only fill with salt just before starting one of the washing
programmes.
This will prevent any grains of salt or salty water, which
may have been spilt, remaining on the bottom of the
machine for any period of time, which may cause
corrosion.
To fill:
1. Open the door, remove the lower basket and nscrew the
cap of the salt container by t rning it anticlockwise.
2. Po r 1 litre of water inside the container (this is necessary
only before filling with salt for the first time).
3. Using the f nnel provided,
po r in the salt ntil the
container is f ll.
4. Replace the cap making
s re that there is no trace
of salt on the screw thread
or on the gasket.
5. Screw on the cap tightly
t rning it clockwise ntil it
stops with a click.
The salt container will req ire topping p periodically. Yo are
reminded of this by the salt indicator light on the control panel
which comes on when the salt has finished.
Do not worry if water over flows from the nit when filling with
salt, this is q ite normal.
The salt indicator light on the control panel can remain
illuminated for 2-6 hours after the salt has been
replenished, assuming the dishwasher remains switched
on. If you are using salts that take longer to dissolve then
this can take longer. The function of the machine is not
affected.
inse aid
Rinse aid is a tomatically added d ring the last rinse, ens ring
thoro gh rinsing, and spot and streak free drying. The
dispenser, which is positioned inside the door, holds abo t 110
ml of rinse aid, which is s fficient for 16 - 40 dishwashing
programmes, depending pon the dosage setting.
inse aid can be added in one of two ways:
●If yo are sing dishwasher detergent that already contains
rinse aid, the detergent incl ding the rinse aid is placed in
the detergent compartment.
- In this case the rinse aid compartment m st be empty
and the rinse aid indicator light deactivated.
If in the rinse aid dispenser there is still rinse aid yo
m st wait ntil it has finished before sing detergent that
contains rinse aid.
●If yo are sing dishwasher detergent and rinse aid
separately, the rinse aid is to be p t into the rinse aid
dispenser.
- In this case the rinse aid dosage m st be set in position
from 1 to 6 (see "Adj sting the dose") and the rinse aid
indicator light activated.
Filling with rinse aid
( inse aid dispenser type A)
1. Open the container by pressing the release b tton (A).
2. Fill with rinse aid exactly p to the level marked "MAX".
Ensure that the lid is closed after every refill.
Adjusting the dose
According to the finish and drying res lts obtained, adj st the
dose of rinse aid by means of the 6 position selector (position
1 minim m dosage, position 6 maxim m dosage).
Increase the dose if there are drops of water or lime spots on
the dishes after washing.
The dose is factory set in position 4.
Red ce it if there are sticky
whitish streaks on the dishes.

Filling with rinse aid
( inse aid dispenser type B)
1. Open the container by t rning the lid (A) anticlockwise.
2. Add the rinse aid ntil the container is completely f ll. The
indicator (B) will be completely dark.
Ensure that the lid is closed after every refill.
Adjusting the dose
According to the finish and drying res lts obtained, adj st the
dose of rinse aid by means of the 6 position selector (C)
(position 1 minim m dosage, position 6 maxim m dosage).
Increase the dose if there are drops of water or lime spots on
the dishes after washing.
The dose is factory set in position 5.
Red ce it if there are sticky
whitish streaks on the
dishes.
Clean p any rinse aid spilt d ring filling with an absorbent
cloth to avoid excess foaming d ring the next wash.
Use only branded rinse aid for dishwashers. Never fill the rinse
aid dispenser with any other s bstances (e.g. dishwasher
cleaning agent, liq id detergent). This wo ld damage the
appliance.
Top p the rinse aid when the rinse aid indicator light on the
control panel ill minates.
It is possible to deactivate the rinse aid indicator light (see the
following instr ctions).
To deactivate the rinse aid indicator
light proceed as follows:

1. Press f nction p sh b ttons 1and 2sim ltaneo sly.
2. While keeping the f nction p sh b ttons 1 and 2pressed
switch on the dishwasher by pressing the On/Off p sh
b tton.
The On/Off indicator light comes on.
At the same time, the indicator lights of p sh b ttons
1and 2 start flashing.
3. Press f nction p sh b tton 2, the corresponding indicator
light keeps flashing while the indicator light of p sh b tton
1t rns off. At the same time the rinse aid indicator light
starts to flash.
4. Press p sh b tton 2again, the rinse aid indicator light t rns
off, this means that the rinse aid indicator light has been
deactivated.
5. To memorise the operation, switch off the dishwasher by
pressing the On/Off p sh b tton.
To reactivate the rinse aid indicator light follow the same
process ntil the rinse aid indicator light starts to flash.

●Check if it’s necessary to refill with special salt or rinse aid
●Load c tlery and dishes into the dishwasher.
●Fill with dishwasher detergent .
●Select a wash programme s itable for the c tlery and
dishes.
●Start the wash programme.
Loading cutlery and dishes
Sponges, household cloths and any object that can
absorb water may not be washed in the dishwasher.
●Before loading the dishes, yo sho ld:
- Remove large left-overs.
- Soften remnants of b rnt food in pans
●When loading the dishes and c tlery, please note:
- Dishes and c tlery m st not impede the rotation of the
spray arms .
- Load hollow items s ch as c ps, glasses, pans, etc. with
the opening downwards so that water cannot collect in the
container or a deep base.
- Dishes and items of c tlery m st not lie inside one
another, or cover each other.
- To avoid damage to glasses, they m st not to ch.
- Lay small objects in the c tlery basket.
Open the door and slide o t the baskets to load the dishes.
The lower basket
The lower basket is designed to take sa cepans, lids, plates,
salad bowls, c tlery etc.
Serving dishes and large lids sho ld be arranged aro nd the
edge of the basket, ens ring
that the pper spray arm can
t rn freely.
The rows of prongs on the lower basket can be easily lowered
to allow yo to load pots, pans and bowls.
To lower the prongs:
- Slightly p ll them pward and let them drop down
(see pict re).
- To bring them back to the standing position, j st p ll them p
again.
In daily use
For washing in the dishwasher the following cutlery/dishes
are of limited suitability:
- Only wash stoneware in the dishwasher if it is specifically
marked as being dishwasher-safe by the man fact rer.
- Glazed patterns may fade if machine washed freq ently
- Silver and al mini m parts have a tendency to discolo r
d ring washing. Left-overs, e.g. egg white, egg yolk and
m stard often ca se discolo ring and staining on silver.
Therefore always clean left-overs from silver immediately, if
it is not to be washed straight after se.
- Some types of glass can become d ll after a large n mber
of washes
are not suitable:
C tlery with wooden, horn, china or
mother-of-pearl handles
- Plastic items that are not heat resistant
- Older c tlery with gl ed parts that is not
temperat re resistant
- Bonded c tlery items or dishes
- Pewter or copper items
- Lead crystal glass
- Steel items s bject to r sting
- Wooden platters
- Items made from synthetic fibres

The cutlery basket
Long bladed knives stored in an upright position are a
potential hazard.
Long and/or sharp items of cutlery such as carving knives
must be positioned horizontally in the upper basket.
Take care when loading or unloading sharp items such as
knives.

be placed horizontally in the removable knife basket, which is
positioned at the rear of the pper basket.
C tlery sho ld be placed in the removable c tlery basket with
the handles facing downwards. If the handles protr de from
the bottom of the basket, obstr cting the lower spray arm, load
the c tlery with the handles facing pwards.
Mix spoons with other c tlery to prevent them from sticking
together.
For best res lts we
recommend yo to se the
c tlery grids provided (if the
size and dimensions of the
c tlery allow it).
The c tlery basket is in two
parts which can be
separated to give greater
loading flexibility. To separate
the two parts, slide them
horizontally in opposite
directions and p ll them
apart. To reassemble,
reverse the proced re.
The upper basket
The pper basket is designed for plates (dessert plates,
sa cers, dinner plates of p to 25 cm in diameter), salad
bowls, c ps and glasses.
Arrange items on and
nderneath the c p racks so
that water can reach all
s rfaces.
Glasses with long stems can
be placed pside down in the
c p racks.
Light items (plastic bowls
etc.) m st be loaded in the
pper basket and arranged
so they do not move.
In case that plates are loaded in the upper
basket:
load them starting from the
rear positions of the basket;
tilting them slightly forwards
and avoiding the front
positions near the door.
Before closing the door, ensure that the spray arms can
rotate freely.
Adjusting the height of the upper basket
If washing very large plates yo can load them in the lower
basket after moving the pper basket to the higher position.
To move to the higher position proceed as
follows:
1. Move the front r nner stops (A) of the pper basket
o twards and slide the basket o t.
2. Refit the basket in the higher position and replace the stops
(A) in their original position.
After loading your machine always close the door, as an
open door can be a hazard.

Use of detergent
Only use detergents specifically designed for use in
dishwashers.
Using no more then the correct amount of detergent
contributes to reducing pollution.
Prior to the start of a wash programme. The detergent is
released d ring the washing phase.
Please observe the man fact rer’s dosing and storage
recommendations as stated on the detergent packaging.
Fill with detergent
(Detergent dispenser type A)
1. If the lid is closed: press release b tton (1). The lid springs
open.
2. Fill the detergent dispenser with detergent.
The marking indicates the dosing levels:
20 = approximately 20 ml of detergent
30 = approximately 30 ml of detergent
3. Close the lid and press ntil it locks in place.
Fill with detergent
(Detergent dispenser type B)
1. If the lid is closed: open the dispenser by p lling the catch
(D). The lid springs open.
2. Fill the detergent dispenser with detergent.
The marking indicates the dosing levels:
Min = approximately 15 g of detergent
Max = approximately 30 g of detergent
3. Close the lid and press ntil it locks in place.
For all programmes with
prewash, an additional
detergent dose (5 g) m st be
placed into the WRD.

Important!
If the "half load" option has been selected, remember that the
prewash phase is a tomatically excl ded. In this case do not
po r detergent in the WRD, b t only in the detergent
dispenser.

Use of "3 in 1" combi detergent tablets
General advice
These prod cts are tablets with combined detergent/rinse-aid
and salt f nctions.
1. Before sing these prod cts yo sho ld first check that the
water hardness in yo r s pply is compatible with the se of
these prod cts as per the detergent man fact rers (on the
prod ct packaging).
2. These prod cts sho ld be strictly sed according to the
detergent man fact rers instr ctions.
Do not place the tablets in the tub or in the cutlery
basket as this will result in poorer wash results. The
tablets should be placed in the detergent dispenser.
3. If yo enco nter problems when sing 3 in 1 prod cts for
the first time then please contact the detergent
man fact rers care line (the telephone n mber is given on
the prod ct packaging).
Special advice
When sing combination prod cts, the rinse-aid and salt
indicators are no longer sef l. It may be helpf l therefore to
switch the rinse aid off - please note that only some
dishwashers have this facility - and select the lowest possible
setting for water hardness.
For more information please refer to the instr ction man al.
If yo decide to t rn back to the se of the standard detergent
system we advise that yo :
●Refill both the salt container and rinse aid dispenser.
●Switch the water hardness setting to the highest possible
position and r n a normal washing programme witho t a
load.
●Readj st the water hardness setting again according to the
hardness of the water in yo r area.
Concentrated detergent
Based on their chemical composition, dishwasher detergents
can be split into two basic types:
- conventional, alkaline detergents with ca stic components.
- low alkaline concentrated detergents with nat ral enzymes.
The se of 50°C washing programmes in conj nction with
concentrated detergents red ces poll tion and is good for yo r
dishes; these wash programmes are specially matched to the
dirt-dissolving properties of the enzymes in the concentrated
detergent. For this reason 50°C wash programmes in which
concentrated detergents are sed can achieve the same
res lts that can otherwise only be achieved sing 65°C
programmes.
Detergent tablets
Detergent tablets of different brands dissolve at different
speeds. For this reason some detergent tablets cannot
develop their f ll cleaning power d ring short programmes.
Therefore please se normal programmes with prewash when
sing detergent tablets.

(2) Testing programme for EN 50242 (see "Hints for Test Centres). This programme, developed for the se of detergents with
enzymes, allows to achieve, with red ced cons mption of energy the same cleaning res lts that wo ld otherwise be obtained
only with the 65°C programmes and conventional detergents. To compensate the lower temperat re, the d ration of the
programme has been extended.
(3) The cons mption val es are intended as a g ide and depends on the press re and the temperat re of the water and also by
the variations of the power s pply.

1. Check that the baskets have been
loaded correctly and that the spray

The On/Off indicator light will come on.
5. Setting and starting the programme
Press the p sh b tton corresponding to the req ired
programme (see "Washing programmes" chart).
The indicator light corresponding to the programme
ill minates and the phase indicator lights foreseen for
that programme start flashing.
It is possible to change the programme selection simply
pressing the p sh b tton of another programme within 6
seconds.
Once the programme has started the phase indicator
lights will t rn off except for the phase nder way.
6. Interrupting/cancelling a washing
programme
Change or interrupt a washing programme in
progress ONLY if it’s absolutely necessary
To interrupt a washing programme
Attention! Hot steam may escape when the door is
opened. There is risk of scalding. Open the door
caref lly.
●Open the dishwasher door; the programme will stop.
Close the door; the programme will start from the
point in which it was interr pted.
●pressing the On/Off (in this case all the indicator
lights t rn off). Press the On/Off p sh b tton again;
the programme will start from the point in which it was
interr pted.
To cancel a washing programme
A programme in progress can be cancelled at any time.
Press for abo t 3 seconds the p sh b tton of the r nning
programme ntil all indicator lights are off.
Only the On/Off indicator light will remain ill minated.
It is now possible to select a new washing programme.
7. Setting/cancelling the "Delay start"
The setting of the delay start occurs before selecting
the programme.
Setting the "Delay start"
Press the "delay start" p sh b tton ntil the indicator light
corresponding to the chosen ho rs flashes (3, 6 or 9
ho rs).
Press the p sh b tton corresponding to the req ired
washing programme; the indicator light corresponding to
the programme ill minates and the phase indicator lights
for that programme start flashing.
From the moment that the washing programme has been
set, the delay start will begin with the co ntdown.
The co ntdown will decrease with step of 3 ho rs.
D ring the co ntdown, the indicator light of the selected
programme and the indicator light of the n mber of ho rs
to the start of the programme will remain ill minated.
Once the delay start has elapsed the programme will
start a tomatically, the indicator lights for delay start t rn
off and the indicator light of the phase nderway
ill minates.
Cancelling the "delay start"
It is possible to cancel a co ntdown in progress or before
it starts, simply pressing the delay start p sh b tton ntil
the indicator lights corresponding to the delay start ho rs
are off.
In this case the selected washing programme will start
a tomatically after 6 seconds.
8. End of the washing programme
The dishwasher will a tomatically stop and the end of
programme phase indicator light will ill minate.
The indicator light of the programme j st ended will
remain on.
The dishwasher has finished the programme only when
the end of programme indicator light is ill minated.
If yo do not wait for the end of the programme it will not
be possible to start a new programme ntil the previo s
programme has been cancelled.
(For instr ctions on how to cancel a programme see the
corresponding instr ctions).
If d ring the drying phase (drying indicator light
ill minated) the dishwasher door is opened or the On/Off
p sh b tton is pressed, the r nning programme is
a tomatically cancelled and the machine ret rns to
setting mode (in this case it is possible to select a new
programme witho t cancelling the previo s)
Switch off the dishwasher by pressing the On/Off p sh
b tton, the On/Off indicator light t rns off.
Hot steam may escape from the appliance when opening
the door immediately after the end of the programme,
therefore, open the door carefully.
Unloading the dishwasher
Hot dishes are sensitive to knocks. The dishes sho ld
therefore be allowed to cool down before removing from
the appliance.
Leave the dishes in the dishwasher for approx. 15
min tes, with the door ajar, after the end of programme
so that they dry better and will be cooler.
Empty the lower basket first and then the pper one; this
will avoid water dripping from the pper basket onto the
dishes in the lower one.
When the washing programme has finished, it is
recommended that the dishwasher is unplugged and the
water tap turned off.
Starting a washing programme

Clean the external s rfaces of the machine and control panel
with a damp soft cloth. If necessary se only ne tral
detergents. Never se abrasive prod cts, sco ring pads or
solvent (acetone, trichloroethylene etc....).
Ens re that the seals aro nd the door, the detergent and rinse
aid dispensers are cleaned reg larly with a damp cloth.
We recommend every 3 months to r n a 65°C wash
programme witho t dishes sing detergent.
Cleaning the filters
The filters in the base of the washing compartment are to large
extent self-cleaning. Nevertheless the filters sho ld be
checked and cleaned from time to time. Dirty filters will
degrade the washing res lt.
1. Open the door, remove the lower basket.
2. The dishwasher filter
system comprises a
coarse/fine filter (A/B), a
microfilter (C) and a flat
filter (D).
Unlock the filter system
sing the handle on the
microfilter, and remove.
3. T rn the handle abo t
1/4a t rn anticlockwise
and remove.
4. Take hold of the
coarse/fine filter (A/B) by
the handle with the hole and
remove from the microfilter (C).
5. Clean all filters thoro ghly nder r nning water.
6. Remove the flat filter (D) from the base of the washing
compartment and clean both faces thoro ghly.
7. P t the flat filter back in the base of the washing
compartment.
8. Place the coarse/fine filter in the microfilter and press
together.
9. P t the filter combination in place and lock by t rning the
handle clockwise to the stop. D ring this process ens re
that the flat filter does not protr de above the base of the
washing compartment.
Under no circumstances may the dishwasher be used
without filters.
To ensure a correct
working of the dishwasher,
NEVE try to remove the
upper spray arm.
If resid es of soil have
clogged the holes in the
pper spray arm, remove
them with a toothpick.
Check that the WRD is not clogged with detergent resid e. If
necessary rinse it nder r nning water after having removed it
from the basket by twisting it anticlockwise and p lling it
pwards.
Never use your dishwasher
without the W D
dispenser. Since W D also
ensures correct
distribution of the water to
the upper spray arm,
running the dishwasher
without it will impair the
washing results.
Prolonged periods of non-operation
If yo are not sing the machine for any period of time yo are
advised to:
1. Unpl g the appliance and then t rn off the water.
2. Fill the rinse aid dispenser.
3. Leave the door ajar to prevent the formation of any
npleasant smells.
4. Leave the inside of the machine clean.
Frost precautions
Avoid placing the machine in a location where the temperat re
is below 0°C. If this is navoidable, empty the machine, close
the appliance door, disconnect the water inlet pipe and empty
it.
Moving the machine
If yo have to move the machine (moving ho se etc....):
1. Unpl g it.
2. T rn the water tap off.
3. Remove the water inlet and discharge hoses.
4. P ll the machine o t together with the hoses.
Avoid over tilting the machine d ring transportation.

...a flashing fault code appears
The dishwasher will not start or stops d ring operation. All p sh b ttons are inoperative except for the On/Off p sh b tton and a
combination of indicator lights, as indicated in the following chart, are flashing. Press the On/Off p sh b tton to switch the
dishwasher off and carry o t the following s ggested corrective actions.
Once the checks have been carried o t, press the On/Off p sh b tton, the programme will contin e from the point in which it was
interr pted. If the fa lt code reappears contact the cons mer services department.
For other combinations of fa lt codes not described in the above chart will appear, please contact yo r cons mer services

●Where there are limescales deposits on the dishes; the salt container is empty or the wrong level of the water softener has been

Service and spare parts

Any electrical and/or plumbing work required to install
this appliance should be carried out by a qualified
electrician and/or plumber or competent person.
Remove all packaging before positioning the machine.
If possible, position the machine next to a water tap and a
drain.
Fitting under a counter
(kitchen worktop or sink)
By removing the machine’s worktop, yo can install it nder a
close fitting sink nit or a pre-existing top, providing the
dimensions of the recess correspond to those shown in the
pict re.
Proceed as follows:
Remove the machine’s worktop by nscrewing the two rear
retaining screws, p ll from the front and slide o t the rear
slots, lifting the worktop.
Insert the machine after adj sting height and levelling with the
adj stable feet. When inserting the machine, ens re that the
water inlet and drain hoses are not kinked or sq ashed.
If the dishwasher is later sed as a free-standing appliance,
the original worktop m st be re-mo nted.
The plinth on free-standing appliances is not adj stable.
Levelling
Good levelling is essential for correct clos re and sealing of
the door.
When the appliance is correctly levelled, the door will not catch
on either side of the cabinet.
If the door does not close correctly, loosen or tighten the
adj stable feet ntil the machine is perfectly level.
Water supply connections
This dishwasher may be fed with either hot (max. 50°) or cold
water. Nevertheless we advise yo a cold water s pply.
A hot water s pply is not always efficient with very soiled
crockery as it shortens the washing programmes a lot.
The dishwasher m st not be connected to open hot water
appliances or instantaneo s water heaters.
The dishwasher is fitted with safety devices that prevent the
wash water ret rning into the drinking water system and
comply with the applicable pl mbing reg lations.
The water press re m st be within the limits given in the
technical specifications. Yo r local Water A thority will advise
yo on the average mains press re in yo r area.
The dishwasher feat res fill and drain hoses which can be
t rned either to the left or the right to s it the installation.
The water inlet hose m st not be kinked, cr shed, or entangled
when it is being connected p.
Do not use, for connection, old hoses which have been
used in another appliance.
If the machine is connected to new pipes or pipes which have
not been sed for a long time, yo sho ld r n the water for a
few min tes before connecting the inlet hose.
Water inlet hose with safety valve
After connecting the do ble-walled water inlet hose, the safety
valve is next to the tap. Therefore the water inlet hose is only
nder press re while the water is r nning. If the water inlet
hose starts to leak d ring this operation, the safety valve c ts
off the r nning water.
Please take care when installing the water inlet hose:
- The distance between the bottom edge of the safety val e
and the floor on which the dishwasher is standing m st be at
least 30 cm:
- The electrical cable for the safety valve is in the do ble-
walled water inlet hose. Do not immerse the water inlet hose
or the safety valve in water.
- If water inlet hose or the safety valve is damaged, remove
the mains pl g immediately.
- A water inlet hose with safety valve m st only be replaced by
a specialist or by the cons mer services department.
- Place the water inlet hose in s ch a way that it is never
higher than the bottom edge of the safety valve.

Water outlet hose connection
The end of the drain hose can be connected in the following
ways:
1. To the sink o tlet spigot, sec ring it if necessary with a clip.
2. Hooked over the edge of the sink sing the special c rved
plastic g ide provided.
3. To a stand pipe provided with vent-hole, minim m internal
diameter 4 cm.
The waste connection m st be at a height of between 30 cm
(minim m) and 100 cm (maxim m) from the bottom of the
dishwasher.
The drain hose can face either to the right or left of the
dishwasher
Ens re the hose is not bent or sq ashed as this co ld prevent
or slow down the discharge of water.
The sink pl g m st not be in place when the machine is
draining as this co ld ca se the water to siphon back into the
machine.
If yo se a drain hose extension it m st be no longer than 2
metres and its internal diameter m st be no smaller than the
diameter of the hose provided.
Likewise the internal diameter of the co plings sed for
connections to the waste o tlet m st be no smaller than the
diameter of the hose provided.
Attention!
O r appliances are s pplied with a sec rity device to protect
against the ret rn of dirty water back into the machine.
If the spigot of yo r sink has a "no ret rn valve" incorporated
this can prevent the correct draining of yo r dishwasher.
We advise yo therefore to remove it.
Electrical connection
Information concerning the electrical connection is given on the
rating plate on the edge of the dishwasher’s door on the right.
Before pl gging the appliance into the wall socket, make s re
that:
1. The mains voltage and c rrent rating at the site of
installation match the nominal voltage and c rrent rating
given on the rating plate.
2. The meter, f ses, mains power s pply and wall socket can
all take the maxim m load req ired. Make s re that the
socket and pl g are compatible witho t having to se any
type of adaptor. If necessary, have the domestic wiring
system socket replaced.
To isolate the dishwasher from mains, remove the mains pl g.
Important!
The plug must still be accessible after the appliance has
been installed.
In case that the electrical cable has to be replaced, please
contact your local consumer services department.
Safety standards require the appliance to be earthed.
The manufacture accepts no liability for failure to observe
the above safety precautions.
