Installation
• It is mandatory that all operations required for the
installationarecarriedoutbyaqualifiedorcompetent
person,inaccordancewithexistingrulesandregulations.
• Itisdangerous toalterthespecificationinanyway.
• Onceyouremovedallpackagingfromtheappliance,
ensurethatitisnotdamagedandtheelectriccableis
inperfectconditions.Otherwise,contactyourdealer
beforeproceedingwiththeinstallation.
Child Safety
• Thisappliancehasbeendesignedtobeoperatedby
adultsandchildrenundersupervision.Youngchildren

During use
• Thisappliance hasbeendesignedforcookingedible
foodstuff only and MUST NOT be used for any other
purposes.
• Ensurethat allcontrol knobsare inthe OFFposition
whennot in use.
• Shouldyouconnectanyelectricaltooltoaplugnearthis
cookingappliance,ensurethatelectriccablesarenotin
contact with it and keep them far enough from the
heatedpartsofthisappliance.
Iftheapplianceisoutof order, disconnectitfromthe
electricsupply.
Donotleaveuntensilscontainingfoodstuffs,e.g.fator
oilinorontheappliance.Thiscouldcausedamagein
casetheapplianceisinadvertentlyswitchedon.
 Always place the dripping pan in position to collect fat
when using the grill or when cooking meat. Pour a little
water into the dripping pan to avoid smoke and
unpleasant smells.
 Always use oven gloves to remove pans from the oven.
• Forhygieneandsafetyreasons,thisapplianceshould
be kept clean at all times. A build-up of fats or other
foodstuffcouldresultinafire.
• Disconnect the appliance from the electrical supply,
beforecarryingoutanycleaningormanteinancework.
Somepartsoftheappliancearecoveredbyashock-
proof plastic film. Remove this film before using the
oven.
This appliance is meant to operate with a single-
phasedconnectionto230Velectricalsupply.Aneventual
400V poliphasic connection without earth wire will
destroytheovenandthehob,iffitted.
 The manufacturer disclaims any responsability
should all the safety measures not be carried out.
Service
• Undernocircumstancesshouldyouattempttorepair
the appliance yourself. Repairs carried out by
unexperiencedpersons maycause injuryor serious
malfunctioning. Refer to your local Service Centre.

Oven light - The oven light will be on without any
cookingfunction
Conventional cooking - The heat comes from both
thetop and bottomelement, ensuring evenheating
insidethe oven.
Fan cooking - This allows you to roast or roast and
bakesimultaneouslyusing anyshelf, withoutflavour
interference.
Grill element only - The heat comes from the top
elementonly.
Thermostat control knob (Fig. 2
Turn the thermostat control knob clockwise to select
temperatures between 50°C and 250°C (MAX).

Oncetheoventemperaturehasbeenselected,thetempe-
raturelightwillcomeonandremainonuntiltheovenhas
reachedthecorrectsetting;afterthat,itwillgoonandoffwith
the thermostat, showing how the temperature is being
maintained.
Oven control light
It will come on every time an heating element is set on
operation.

The Safety Thermostat
Thisovenisprovidedwithasafetythermostat.Incaseof
malfunctioningofthemain thermostat, and consequent
over-heating,thesafetydevicewillstopthepowersupply
totheappliance. If thishappens,call yourlocal Service
Centre. Under no circumstances should you attempt to
repairtheapplianceyourself.
Cooling fan
The purpose of the fan is to cool the control panel, the
knobs and the oven door handle. The air stream flows
out between the control panel and the oven door handle.
To ensure proper cooling, the fan will continue to operate
even after the oven is turned off, until normal temperature
levels have been reached.

cancelpressbuttonAandreturncontrol
and thermostat knobs to the OFF
position.
Electronic Timer
In case of loss of power, all the settings
(time of day, setted programs or programs
in operation) will be cancelled. When the
power is restored, the numbers on the
display will flash, and the timer has to be
reset.

Hints and Tips on Cooking Fish and
Meat
Youcanplacemeatinovenproofdishes,ordirectlyonthe
ovenshelf.Inthiscase,remembertoplacethedrippingpan
inthefirstpositionfromthebottomwithsomewaterinit.The
drippingpanwillavoid thefallingofmeltedfatontheoven
base.
Whitemeat,poultry andfishin general,needa medium
temperature cooking (between 150 and 175 °C). If you
needtocookredmeat(slightlybrownedontheoutsideand
moregentlycookedintheinside),ahighertemperature
(between200and250°C)forashorttimeisrecommended.
Hints and Tips on baking
Cakes usually need a medium temperature cooking,
between 150 and 200 °C.
Ashortovenpre-heating(about10minutes)isrecommeded
when cooking cakes or baking. Once the cooking has
been started, keep the oven door closed during all the
cookingtime,andcheckthecookingresultsthroughthe
ovendoorglass.
Hints and Tips on grilling
Ifyouneedtogrillmeatorfish,placethemdirectlyonthe
shelfafterspreadingalittleoilonthem.
Inthegrillfunction,heatcomesonlyfromthetopelement.
Therefore,youneedtoadjustthecookinglevel depending
onmeatorfish'sthickness.
Alwaysremember toplacethedrippingpaninthelower
positionwithsomewaterinit.

Thefansituatedbehindthebackpanelcirculatesheated
airintotheoven.
Ifyouneedtocookmorethanonedishinthefanovenat
the same time, place the shelves on the first and third
positionfromthebottom(SeeFig.5).
Ifyou are cookingonly onedish in thefan oven,use the
lowerpositions,asthiswillgiveyoubetterresults.
Defrosting
Turntheovenfunctioncontrolknobtotherelevant
symbol( )andsetthethermostatknobontheOFF
position(symbol:l).
Theovenfanoperateswithoutheatandcirculatestheair,
atroomtemperature,insidetheoven.Thisincreasesthe
rateatwhichdefrostingtakesplace.

Duringthistime,anunpleasantodourmaybeemitted.This
is absolutely normal, and is caused by residues of
manufacturing.
Oncethisoperationiscarriedout,let theovencooldown,
thencleantheovencavitywithasoftclothsoakedinwarm
soapy water.
Beforecookingforthefirsttime,carefullywashtheshelf
and the dripping pan.

Cleaning and Maintenance
Replacing the Oven Light
Ensuretheelectricitysupplyisswitchedoffbefore
carryingoutthisoperation.
The oven bulb has to comply to these features:
a) resistant to temperatures of300 °C;
b) electric rate: 230 V - 50 Hz;
c) electric power rate: 15 W.;
d) connection type: E 14.
Toreplacethebulb,proceedasfollows(Fig.9):
a) pushinandturntheglasslidanticlockwise;
b) removethafaultybulb;
c) replaceit with a new one;
d) refittheglasslid;
e) switchontheelectricitysupply.
General Cleaning
Ensuretheelectricitysupplyisswitchedoffbefore
carryingoutthisoperation.
•Beforecleaning,alwaysallowtheoventocooldown.
•Whenusingspraycleaningproducts,becarefulnotto
spreadthemontheheatingelementsoronthethermostat
sensor.
•Neveruseharshabrasives,steelwoolorcleanerswith
bleach, as they could damage the enamel and the
ovendoorglass.
The Oven Cavity
Theenamelledovencavityisbestcleanedwhilsttheoven
isstillwarm.Itisadvisabletowipetheovenoverwithasoft
clothsoakedinwarmsoapywateraftereachuse.However,
fromtimetotime,itwillbenecessarytodoamorecomplete
cleaning,usingaproperovencleaner.
Incaseofparticularlytoughstains,youcanusestainless
steelcleaningproductsorsomewarmvinegar.
•Ifcookingfruits,someover-heatednatualacidscan
squeezeand settle on the oven enamel, causing stains
quite difficult to remove. This could affect the enamel
brightness,butitwill have noconsequenceonthe oven
performances.Toavoidthesestainstobeburntoutduring
thenextcooking,carefullycleantheovencavityafterall
fruitscookings.
The Oven Door and its gasket
Before cleaning the oven door, we recommend you to
removeitfromtheoven.
Proceedasfollows:
a)opentheovendoorcompletely;
b)findthehingeslinkingthedoortotheoven(fig7);
c)unlockandturnthesmallleverslocatedonthetwo
hinges(fig.7);
d)handlethedoorbyitsleft-andright-handsides,
thenslowly turnit towards theoven untilit ishalf-
closed;
e)gentlypulltheovendooroffitssite(fig.7);
f) place it on a steady plan.
Clean the oven door glass with warm water and a softh
clothonly.
Oncethecleaningiscarriedout,refittheovendoor,following
theprocedureinreverse.

The Oven Gasket
Thecorrectoperationoftheovenisensuredbyagasket
placedroundtheedgeoftheovencavity.
•Periodically check the condition of this gasket. If
necessary, clean it without using abrasive cleaning
products.
• If the gasket shows to be damaged, call you local
ServiceCentre. Do notuse theoven until ithas been
repaired.

SOLUTION
uCheck the oven is in manual operation and that both a
cooking function and a temperature have been selected
or
uCheck the appliance is wired in properly, and the socket
switch or the switch from the mains supply to the oven are
ON.
uTurn the thermostat knob on a temperature
or
uTurn the oven function control knob on a function.
uTurn the oven function control knob on a function
or
uBuy a new oven light bulb, asking for it to your local Zanussi
Service Centre and replace it by following the instruction
provided in this booklet.
uRefer to the contents of this booklet, especially to the
chapter "Using the Oven".
uLeave dishes inside the oven no longer than 15-20 minutes
after the cooking is completed.
SYMPTOM
nThe oven does not come on
nThe oven temperature light does not come on
nThe oven light does not come on
nIt takes too much time to finish the dishes, or they are
cooked too fast.
nSteam and condensation settle on the food and the
oven cavity.
If the appliance is not working correctly, please carry out the following checks, before contacting your local
Service Centre.
If after the checks listed in the previous
chapter, the appliance still does not work
correctly,contactyourlocalServiceCentre,
specifying the type of malfunctioning, the
appliance model (Mod.), the product
number(Prod. No.) andthe serial number
(Ser.No.) markedontheidentificationplate.
This plate is placed on the front external
edge of the oven cavity.

The building-in and the electrical connection fo
the appliance must be carried out by a qualified
and authorized technician only.
Building In
It is important that the dimensions and materials of the
surround or cabinet into which the oven will be built are
correctandwillwithstandatemperatureincrease.
Acorrectinstallationwillhavetoensureaproperprotection
againstcontactwithelectricpartsormerelyfunctionally
isolatedparts.
Alltheunitsmeanttoensureprotectionhavetobefittednot
to be taken away without using any tool.
Werecommednottoinstalltheappliancenearrefrigerators
orfreezer,sincetheheatcouldaffecttheperformanceof
theseappliances.

Terminal block
Theoven has an easilyaccessible terminal block, which
ismeant to work with anelectric single-phase rate of 230
V.
The manufacturer disclaims any
responsability should all the safety
measures not be carried out.
Electrical Connection
Beforetheapplianceisconnected:
1) checkthatthemainfuseandthedomesticinstallation
cansupporttheload;
2) check that the power supply is properly earthed in
compliancewiththecurrentrules;
3) checkthesocketorthedoublepoleswitchusedforthe
electricalconnectioncanbeeasilyreachedwiththe
appliancebuiltinthefornitureunit.
This appliance is delivered without an electric supply
cable, therefore, you will have to fit to it a supply cable
with standard plug, suitable for the total electric load
shown on the rating plate. The plug is to be inserted into
a suitable wall socket.
Ifconnectingtheappliancedirectlytotheelectricsystem,a
doublepoleswitchmustbeinstalledbetweentheappliance
andthe electricity supply,with aminimum gap of3 mm.

requiredloadincompliancewiththecurrentrules.Theearth
wiremustnotbeinterruptedbythedoubleswitchpole.
Theconnectioncablehastobeplacedinorderthat,ineach

forabout3minutes.

Securing the Oven to the
Cabinet
Fittheapplianceintothecabinetrecess.
Open teh oven door and secure the oven to the kitchen
cabinetwithfourwoodscrews,whichfittheholesprovided
intheovenframe(Fig.12).
When installing an electric plate hob over the oven, the
hob'selectricalconnectionandtheoven'sonehavetobe
carriedoutseparately,forsecurityreasonsandtoletthe
ovenbetakenofftheuniteasier,ifnecessary.
