DVR Function
POWER – The ALLSTON HIDDEN CAMERA USB DRIVE is powered by its built-in
battery for up to an hour of recording time. To charge the battery, plug the
device into a USB port on your computer or into a 5V USB power adaptor.
It will take 2-3 hours to fully charge the battery
TURN ON TURN ON CAMERA – Press the FUNCTION BUTTON and hold it for 3 seconds. The
LED indicator will ash once and stay solid as it enters STANDBY MODE. The
camera is now ready for commands.
NOTE: If a memory card is not properly inserted, the LED will ash 3 times and
the camera will shut off.
TTAKING PHOTOS – press the FUNCTION BUTTON once without holding it down
to take a still photo with the camera. The LED will turn BLUE to indicate a photo
has been taken. It will return to STANDBY MODE and the LED will turn red again
when the photo has been saved to your memory card.
TAKING VIDEO – While in STANDBY MODE, press and hold the FUNCTION
BUTTON for 2 seconds. The LED will ash BLUE three times. A video will begin
rrecording and the LED will turn off during recording. Press the FUNCTION
BUTTON again to stop the recording. The LED will ash BLUE while saving your
video. When the LED turns RED, your video has been saved and the camera has
returned to STANDBY MODE. If the battery runs low, the LED will ash RED and
recording will automatically stop and save.
NNOTE: If a video recording is started while battery power is low, the video le
may be saved as corrupted data and will take up memory space. This will require
you to reformat your memory card to clear that space. If your camera indicates
the battery is low, please charge it fully before recording again.

DVR Function
POWERING OFF DURING A VIDEO RECORDING - While recording video, you can
stop recording and also POWER OFF the camera by holding the FUNCTION
BUTTON down until the blue LED blinks and then the red LED blinks. This stops
the recording, saves your video and powers off the device completely.
PPOWERING OFF FROM STANDBY MODE – While in STANDBY MODE, hold the
FUNCTION button until the LED ashed 5 times. This will shut the device off.
If you leave the device on and in STANDBY MODE, the camera will eventually
power itself off automatically.
LED KEY –
1- ashes three times and powers off – Memory card not inserted
2- ashes six times – Memory card full
3-3- Red light on – Standby Mode
4- Flashes blue and then goes dark – Video recording has started
5- Flashes red twice during video recording – Low battery
6- Flashing red constantly – battery charging
CONNECTING TO A COMPUTER – To access your saved videos and photos, con-
nect the device to your computer’s USB port. It will show up as a removable
drive. You will see three items.
1- A folder named PHOTO – this folder will contain all your still photos
2- A folder named VIDEO - this folder contains your videos
3- A text les named TIME – this le is part of how your camera displays a TIME
STAMP on your videos. (See next section for more information)
Drag photos and videos from your drive to your computer to save and edit
them. Delete those les from the device to free up space for further recording.
NNOTE: on some computers you need to empty your TRASH or RECYCLE BIN
before you disconnect the device, to fully delete the les.

Setting the Date and Time
Setting the Date and Time stamp for your videos is easy. Zetronix provides an
easy-to-use application for both Windows and Mac that will automatically help
you set up the time stamp.

OOn some systems you may get a warning during installation.
This is normal. Simply click RUN ANYWAY and continue with the process.
On an Apple computer you may get a similar warning. Go into CONTROL PANEL
and choose SECURITY. UNLOCK the security settings and choose ALLOW ALL.
Once you have installed the program, make sure you turn
SECURITY SETTINGS back on.

1 Year Limited Warranty
Zetronix Corporation (“Zetronix”) warrants this product against defects in material or workmanship as follows:
PRODUCT: Zetronix will repair this product with new or refurbished parts, free of charge, for a period of one (1) year
from the date of original purchase in the event of a defect in materials or workmanship. REPAIRS: Zetronix will repair
or replace defective parts used in the repair or replacement of this product with new or refurbished parts, free of
charge, for a period equal to the remainder of the original limited warranty period on the original product, or
ffor 60 days after the date of the repair or replacement, whichever is longer. This warranty is extended only to the
original purchaser. Proof of purchase in the form of a bill of sale or receipted invoice, which is evidence that the unit
is within the warranty period, must be presented to obtain warranty service. To obtain warranty service,
yyou must take this product, or deliver the product freight prepaid, in either its original packaging or packaging af-
fording an equal degree of protection, to Zetronix Corporation. See below for additional information. This warranty
only covers failures due to defects in materials and workmanship, which occur during normal use.. The warranty
does not cover damages, which occurred in shipment, cosmetic damage, damage that is attributable to acts of God,
failures which are caused by products not supplied by the warrantor, or failures which result from accident, misuse,
abuse, neglect, mishandling, faulty installation, misapplication, improper installation, operation or maintenance,
alteration, modication, introduction of sand, humidity or liquids, line power surge, improper voltage supply,
lightning damage, or subjecting the product to operating/environmental conditions in excess of the maximum
values or below the minimum values set forth in the applicable specications, or products serviced by anyone other
than Zetronix. This warranty is invalid if the factory-applied serial number has been altered or removed from the
product. This warranty does not cover products sold AS IS or WITH ALL FAULTS. This warranty excludes consumable
parts such as batteries and power supplies.
