Getting Started
1. Connect the AC power adaptor (supplied with OPS-8) to an AC wall outlet.
2. Insert a memory card or USB flash drive containing desired photos, music,
and/or video into the appropriate card slot or USB port and illustrated
below.
Note: Memory cards and USB drives must be oriented correctly to function properly.
3. The Power indicator will illuminate red (standby mode) when the OPS-8
power cord is connected to power. Press the button to turn on the
OPS-8. The power indicator will turn green and the slideshow will begin
automatically.
Note: By default, each time the photo frame is powered on, it searches all the memory
devices for photos in the following order: Internal Memory (My Favorites), SD/MMC/MS/xD,
CF, USB, and Internal Memory (Photos). If one or more of those devices is not present, the
OPS-8 will automatically access the next available source with photos and begin a slideshow.
4. To exit slideshow press EXIT to return to MAIN MENU.
5. Press and hold the until the screen goes dark to power off the OPS-8
6. In addition to Remote Control the OPS-8 has basic controls touch pad on
the front of the unit.

Removing The Insulating Tab On Remote Control
Pull out the plastic tab from the remote control if it is being used for the first time.
Battery Installation
If the remote control fails to function even when it is operated very close to the
OPS-8, please replace the 3V lithium battery (CR2025 or equivalent).
1. Press and hold the battery slot in the direction of the arrow 1 as illustrated
above.
Note: Be careful when you press the slot of the battery holder.
2. Pull out the battery holder completely in the direction of arrow 2 as
illustrated above.
3. Remove the old battery, and replace the new battery in the holder.
4. Push the holder back into the remote control.
Note:
•The battery may explode if it is incorrectly replaced or disposed of in fire.
•Replace with only CR2025 or equivalent
•Do not short circuit battery
•Do not attempt to recharge the battery
•Keep all batteries away from young children
•Seek medical attention if battery is ever swallowed
•Do not replace battery while in direct sun light or near excessive heat

Remote Control Operation Range
Point the remote control unit no more than 10 feet from the OPS-8 remote control
sensor and within the 60° of the front of the unit. The operating distance may
vary according to the brightness of the room.
Storing The Remote Control
Place the remote control in the storage slot located in upper left corner of the rear
panel as illustrated below.

Setup
You can change the basic setup of the photo frame by accessing the System
Setup menu. To get to the System Setup menu, go to the MEMORY SELECT
MENU or MAIN MENU and press

Language
Choose from the eight on screen display languages
Options: English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese,
Dutch, Chinese
Display Image Size
•Select “Normal” to display photos in their original
aspect ratio. Black bars may appear on the left/right or
top/bottom sides of the screen, depending on whether
the photos are taken in landscape or portrait format.
•Select “Full Screen” to stretch the photos to cover the
whole screen. A small part of the photo on the
left/right or top/bottom sides may be cropped slightly.
Schedule Power On
(HH:MM AM OFF)
Set the time for the OPS-8 to power on automatically. Select
“OFF” to cancel this function.
Options: ON, OFF
Schedule Power Off
(HH:MM AM OFF)
Set the time for the OPS-8 to power off automatically.
Options: ON, OFF
Sleep Timer
The OPS-8 can be turned off automatically in specified hours

Select “On” to enable sound when touch pad buttons are
pressed, or select “Off” to disable.

Playback Volume
Adjust the desired volume when playing music or video.
Factory Default
Select “Yes” if you wish to restore all options to the factory
default. All options will be erased after this process is
complete except the scanned image counter, date, and clock.

Screen Brightness Adjustment
The photo frame will adjust the screen brightness automatically based on the
ambient lighting conditions in order to maintain optimal display quality.
1. From the MAIN MENU, press to bring up the System Setup.
2. Press ▲or ▼ to highlight Light Sensor, the press ►.
3. Press ▲or ▼ to highlight On, the press OK to enable screen brightness
adjustment.
4. Press MENU to return to the MAIN MENU. The brightness will be lowered
automatically if the OPS-8 is in a dark environment and increased if it is in
a well-lit environment.

Select A Memory Device
The OPS-8 can play back content from internal and external memory devices
such as USB flash drives and memory cards typically used with digital cameras.
More than one external memory device can be inserted at the same time.
However, the OPS-8 can only select one device at a time content playback.
1. Power on the OPS-8. If a slideshow is running, press the EXIT button
twice to enter the MEMORY SELECT MENU, as illustrated below. When
a memory device is inserted, its corresponding icon on the screen will light
up.
2. Use the arrows to select the desired memory device and press “OK” to
select.
3. After selecting a device the MAIN MENU will appear on the screen.

Scan A Photo
1. Turn on the OPS-8
2. Press the SCAN button located in the lower right corner on the front panel.
3. Push the Scanner Cover release button down as illustrated below.
4. Insert the photo, facing up, into the photo feed slot. Gently push the photo
into the photo feed slot until the photo is grasped at the end by the feed
slot, then press SCAN again to scan the photo.
Note 1: To avoid photo jam, please align photo within the scanning zone on the screen 1
toward the feeder guide bar 2 on the right side.
Note 2: The OPS-8 supports photo sizes from 1.5 x 2 to 4 x 6.
Note 3: Do not press any button while the scanning is in process.
5. A scanner menu appears on the screen after scanning is completed Press
▲or ▼to select the desired option.
6. To export the scanned photos, please refer to PC Connection section.

Scanner Menu
Once the scan process is completed, a scanner menu will appear on the
screen. Press ▲or▼to select your desired function.
Rotate
To rotate the scanned photo, press ▲or▼ to highlight Rotate, then press
“OK”. The scanned photo will be rotated. Each time the “OK” button in
pressed, the photo will rotate 90° clockwise.
Save This Image
Press ▲or▼ to highlight Save this Image, then press OK to save. A status
message will appear on the screen to indicate when the photo is saved.
Photo is being saved Photo has been saved
Cancel/Scan A New Photo
To scan a new photo, press ▲or▼ to highlight Cancel/Scan a new photo,
and then press OK. The previous scanned photo will be erased, and the unit
will be ready to scan the next photo.
Exit Scan Mode
Press ▲or▼ to highlight Exit Scan Mode, then press OK to exit and return to
the Scanned Image Mode. The scanned photo will not be saved in the
internal memory.

Photo
Supported photo format: JPG
Note: Not all photo formats of digital cameras are supported by this photo frame. This unit is
designed to show photos in standard JPG format. Some images in non-standard
formats such as progressive JPG from web images, or the RAW format used by
professional cameras, cannot be displayed in the unit correctly. Please use PC
applications (not supplied) to convert such images into standard JPG format.
Photo Thumbnail Mode
1. From the MAIN MENU, select Photo and press “OK”to enter. All photos
stored in the selected memory device will be displayed in the thumbnail
mode.
2. Use the arrow keys to navigate. Select a photo and press “OK”to view it
in full size.
Photo Thumbnail Mode Options
1. During the thumbnail mode, select a photo the press to bring up the
Options menu.
2. Use the arrow keys to browse through available options, and press “OK”
to select.
Note: To return to the thumbnail mode, press EXIT.

Descriptions
Add to My Favorites
This option copies the selected photo to the My Favorites
folder for easy access. Select Yes to copy, and No to
cancel
Options: Yes, No.
Copy to
This option allows you to copy the selected photo from
the current memory device to other available device(s).
Options: Internal Memory, USB, CF, SD/MMC, MS, xD
Delete
To delete the selected photo, select Yes. Otherwise
choose No to cancel
Options: Yes, No
Mark
This function allows you to select multiple photos to copy
or delete.
Select Mark Several if you want to select multiple photos.
It will bring you back to the thumbnail screen for the photo
selection. Use the arrow keys and OK to make your
selection, then press to return to Options menu to
continue Copy to, Delete, or Add to My Favorites
function. Select Mark All to have the photos in the folder
selected instead, and Unmark All to clear your
selection(s).
Options: Mark Several, Mark All, and Unmark All.
System Setup
Bring up the System Setup menu.

Photo Browse Mode
From the thumbnail mode, select a photo then press “OK”to enter the
browse mode.
Note: By default, the photo will be displayed by full screen. Please refer to Display Image
Size in Setup Menu
Manual Rotate
Photos can be manually rotated by pressing the in full screen mode.
Each press of this button will rotate the photo by 90° clockwise.
Auto Rotate
Landscape or portrait display of a photo will be automatically switched
according to the unit orientation. If the horizontally placed photo frame is
rotated right by 90°, the displayed photo will automatically rotate anti-
clockwise by 90°. If the vertically placed photo frame is rotated to the left by
90°, the displayed photo will automatically rotate clockwise by 90°.
Zoom
Press to zoom into a photo. Each time the button is pressed , the photo
will be enlarged in the sequence of 2X, 3X, 4X, and 5X. At 5X zoom, press
this button again to return to the original view.
Note: Press OK on the remote to resume the slideshow playback.
Photo Browse Mode Option
1. During the browse mode, press to bring up the Options menu.
2. Use the arrow keys to browse through available options, and press “OK”
to select.
Note: To return to the browse mode, press “EXIT”.

Add to My Favorites
This option copies the selected photo by the My
Favorites folder for easy access. Select Yes to
copy, and No to cancel.

Copy to
This option allows you to copy the selected photo
from the current memory device to other available
device(s).
Options: Internal Memory, USB, CF, SD/MMC, MS, xD
Delete
To delete the selected photo, select Yes.
Otherwise choose No to cancel.
Options: Yes, No
Rotate
Select the desired angle to rotate the selected
photo.
Options: Original, 90°, -90° and 180°
Zoom
Select Zoom and press “OK”to zoom in selected
photo.
Each time the OK button is pressed; the photo will
be enlarged in the sequence of 2X, 3X, 4X, 5X and
then returned to the original size. Alternately, you
can use the button on the remote to use this
function.
Print
This option allows you to print the selected photo
through the connection of a PictBridge printer.
(Please refer to page 31 for details.) Choose Yes
to print, and No to cancel.
Options: Yes, No
Adjust LCD Color
This option lets adjust the brightness, contrast, tint,
and color of the LCD screen. Use ▲and ▲to
highlight the desired option, then use ◄and ►to
increase or decrease the setting. Press “EXIT”to
exit.
Options: Brightness, Contrast, Tint, Color.
System Setup
Bring up the System Setup menu.

Photo Slideshow Mode
Supported photo and audio format: JPEG and MP3.
1. Press under any mode to begin a slideshow.
2. Press “EXIT”to exit slideshow mode. By default, the screen will return
to the MAIN MENU.
Slideshow Options
1. During the Slideshow mode, press to bring up the Options menu.
2. Use the arrow keys to browse through the available options, and press
“OK”to select.

Slideshow Transition
Select a style for the photo transition during
slideshow
Options: None, Random, Ken Burns, Mosaic, Fading,
Door Open, Lines, Box Out, Page Turning.
Slideshow Speed
Select a desired transition speed in slideshow.
Options: 5 seconds, 10 seconds, 15 seconds, 30
seconds, 60 seconds, or 1 hour.
Slideshow Shuffle
Select On to have the slideshow photos shown in
random order, or select Off to disable.
Options: On, Off.
Slideshow Music
Select On to enable background music during a
slideshow or Off to disable.
Options: On, Off.
Note: This function requires music file(s) to be saved in the
same memory device as the photos
.
System Setup
Bring up the System Setup menu.

My Favorites
Supported Photo Format: JPEG
My Favorites is a folder which holds all the photos you have previously marked
as “Favorite.” To view these photos:
1. From the Main Menu, select “My Favorites” and press “OK”
2. All your favorite photos will be displayed in thumbnail mode. From here
you can view these photos individually (in browse mode) or as a slide
show. Please refer to the Photo Thumbnail Mode, Photo Browse Mode,
and Slideshow Mode for details.
Note 1: All the photos in the My Favorites folder are saved in the internal memory
regardless of the current memory device.
Note 2: To avoid duplicates, photos and My Favorites can not be copied to other memory
devices.

Scanned Image
Supported Storage Format: JPEG
1. By default, photos that you have scanned are stored in the scanned
image image folder in the internal memory. To browse the scanned
photos, select the Scanned Image from the MAIN MENU and press the
“OK” to enter.
2. All the scanned photos will be displayed in thumbnail mode. From here
you can view these photos individually (in browse mode) or as a slide
show. Please refer to the Photo Thumbnail Mode, Photo Browse
Mode, and Slideshow Mode for details.
Transfer the Scanned Images to a Computer.
1. To copy the scanned images to a computer from an internal memory,
please connect this unit to a computer via the mini USB cable (supplied.)
2. Use drag and drop method to copy files from Scanned Image folder in the
internal memory to a computer.
