4) Powertool use and care
a) Donot force the powertool.
Use thecorrectpowertool for
yourapplication. The correct
powertoolwilldo the job betterand
saferat the rate forwhichitwas
designed.
b) Donot use the powertool ifthe
switchdoes not turniton and off.
Anypowertoolthatcannot be
controlledwith the switchis
dangerousand must be repaired.
c) Disconnectthe plug fromthe
powersource and/orthebattery
pack from thepowertool before
making any adjustments,
changing accessories, orstoring
powertools. Such preventive

starting the powertoolaccidentally.
d) Storeidle powertools out of
the reachof childrenand do not

5) Battery tool use and care
a) Recharge only with the charger
specifiedby the manufacturer. A
chargerthat issuitableforone type
of battery pack maycreate a risk of
fire when used withanotherbattery
pack.
b) Use powertools only with
specifically designatedbattery
packs. Use ofanyotherbattery
packs maycreate a risk of injury and
fire.
c) Whenbatterypackis not inuse,
keepitawayfromothermetal
objects, like paperclips, coins,
keys, nails, screws orothersmall
metal objects, thatcanmake a
connection from one terminal to
another. Shorting the battery
terminalstogethermaycause burns
ora fire.
d) Underabusive conditions,
liquidmaybe ejectedfromthe
battery;avoidcontact. Ifcontact
accidentallyoccurs, flushwith
water. Ifliquidcontacts eyes,
additionallyseek medicalhelp.
Liquidejected from the battery may
cause irritation orburns.
6) Service
a) Haveyourpowertool serviced
bya qualifiedrepairperson using
onlyidentical replacementparts.
Thiswill ensurethatthesafetyof the
powertoolismaintained.

Slide the spacer

Fit the fixing bolt
and locking knob
and tightenthem
together. Do not
overtighten.

trimmerto givea
comfortable
working position.
Tighten the
bolt/knob.

in cutting performance.
Make sure to use fullycharged

The batteryshould slide easilyinto
the batteryholderonthemachine.
Ifthe batterydoesnot slide in
easily,itisnotbeinginserted
correctly. The batterywilllockitself
intoplacewhen you heara click.
Make sure the batteryisfitted
correctlyto the machine.
HARNESS, QUICKRELEASE

harness and

Adjust the
harness forthe
bestworking

that the weight is

shoulders.

POWER TRIGGER LOCKOUT
AND STARTTHETOOL
The powertrigger
lockout isdesigned
to prevent accidental
operation ofthe
powertrigger.When
you press the lockout
button (1),it releases
the locking
mechanismofthe
powertrigger(2).
When you release
the powertrigger,
both the power
triggerandlockout
buttonwillmove
backto theiroriginal
positions. This
movement is
controlledbytwo
independent return
springs.
Before use the machine:
lDo wearpersonalprotective
equipment andharness;
lRead andhave full
understanding ofthe correct
meaningsofholding the
machine.
lEven ifthe operatorwear s
the properprotective
equipment, theresstill noise
and vibration emitted fromthe
machine.
lMake sure the powertriggeris
locked when the lockout
buttonisinitsoriginalposition.
Commissioning:
lPress the powertriggerand
make sure it returnsto its
originalposition when you
releaseit.
lCheckthat thepowertrigger
and the lockout button move
freelyand that the return
spring worksproperly.
lStart the machine andapply
full power. Release the power
triggerandcheckthat the
cutting attachment stopsand
remain at a standstill.
