LIMITED LIFETIME WARRANTY ON
METAL PARTS OF MOUSE:
PLASTIC AND ELECTRICAL PARTS ARE COVERED UNDER A 90 DAY WAR-
RANTY. Zspire Technologies warrants to the original purchaser that its products
are free from defects in materials and workmanship. This product has been
designed in accordance with the highest traditional quality standards of crafts-
manship, using high grade metals treated with special finishes. Thus, a mark,
slight color variation, and/or other distinguishing characteristics afforded to
the product over its lifetime due to its usage, is considered one of the product’s
prestigious features, making all of our mice unique, and making it hard to find
identical products.
This warranty does not cover accidental damage, misuse, improper care or
alteration, or acts of God, such as floods and earthquakes. This warranty lasts
as long as the original owner owns the product. Coverage terminates if the
original owner sells or otherwise transfers the product. Coverage does not
extend to any physical damage made by the owner. Customer access to the
internal operations of the product are limited by this warranty to the battery
compartment and battery cover. Any additional intrusion into the product’s inner
operation will effectively void this warranty.

To report a warranty defect, please contact customer support at
1.877.891.6598. Please include your telephone number so that we may
contact you. If, after inspection, we find that the product is defective in ma-
terials or workmanship, we shall, at no charge to you, repair or replace the
product at our discretion, and return the product to you. You are responsible for
shipping costs to Zspire Technologies but there is no charge for the inspection
or the return postage.
Post-warranty, the customer may request a repair service for an applicable fee.

TAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OF ANY SORT RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THIS PRODUCT.
THE MAXIMUM RECOVERY FOR ANY LOSS OR CLAIM IS LIMITED TO THE COST OF YOUR PROD-

These instructions will guide you through the process of quickly engaging your
Zspire mouse.
THE ZSPIRE MOUSE PRODUCT PACKAGE
The Zspire Mouse Product Package includes everything you need to get started
and driving your new Zspire mouse. Enclosed, you will find:

NOTE: Before boarding any aircraft, be sure to either remove the batteries
or turn the Zspire mouse “off.” The Zspire mouse may emit radio frequency
(RF) energy similar to cellular telephones. More information is available in
the Zspire Help (see below).

SECTION I: INSTALLING BATTERIES
Before your Zspire mouse is ready to drive, you will need to install the batteries.
Your Zspire mouse uses two AAA batteries included.
Remove the battery cover. The battery cover is located on the bottom of the
mouse.
Insert the batteries with the proper positive/negative configuration. Place the
negative side of the battery (the non-pointy end) against the spring. Do not
worry if the batteries do not exactly line up before you replace the cover. The
battery cover has been designed to force the batteries into the proper con-
figuration.
Replace the battery cover so the
slot on the cover is closest to the
lens of the mouse (otherwise you
will have a difficult time replacing
the batteries next time!)
The Zspire mouse is now ready
for configuration and operation.

section of this guide for addi-
tional information regarding the
batteries for your Zspire mouse.

SECTION II: ZSPIRE MOUSE CONFIGURATION
1. Activate the Zspire mouse. To turn the Zspire mouse on, move the switch on
the bottom of the mouse to the “On” position. The switch is located on the bot-
tom of the mouse under the lens cover. The red laser light will be activated.
2. Follow the instructions for your Bluetooth adaptor to connect the mouse.
3. Configure your mouse and allow your computer to “see” it. To do so, use a
pen or pin to depress the recognition button on the bottom of the mouse for
five seconds (time varies from computer to computer).
4. If asked for a passkey, select Do Not Use a Passkey.
5. Drive it! You are on your way to enjoying the Zspire mouse.
Making it YOUR Zspire
For a customized driving experience, the Zspire mouse has several variable
configurations that you may tailor to your preferences. You can set your mouse
buttons to specialized commands, control the cursor speed, etc. and make the
Zspire your own personalized mouse.
For Windows™, go to your Control Panel and select “Mouse Properties.” The
Mouse Settings window will appear. Select your particular settings according to
your preferences.

SECTION III: TROUBLESHOOTING AND
PRODUCT SUPPORT INFORMATION
The Zspire mouse is built to exacting specifications and as a truly enjoyable
and elegant, yet functional and durable, accessory. Under normal operating
circumstances, the mouse will operate and position a cursor up to thirty feet
from the computer, though results may vary depending on potential interference
from other devices that use a radio frequency. An optimum driving experi-
ence requires that the device be situated as far as possible from items that
may interfere with its transceiver, including radios, microwave ovens, cordless
phones, etc.
If the Zspire mouse is not functioning properly, please check that:
The batteries were installed properly and contain a charge.
The activation switch on the bottom of the mouse is set to “On.”
All Bluetooth instructions have been followed.

REGULATORY INFORMATION
The Zspire mouse has been tested to comply with FCC Standards for home or
office use. It is not intended for use in machinery, medical, or industrial appli-
cations. Any change or modifications not expressly approved by Zspire could
void the user’s authority to operate the device.
To comply with FCC RF exposure requirements, the antenna must be installed
by the manufacturer and no changes can be made. This product is for use
with NRTL Listed (UL, CSA, ETL, etc.) and/or IEC/EN 60950 compliant (CE
marked) Information Technology equipment. No serviceable parts included.
This device is rated as a commercial product for operation at +41° F (+5° C)
to +95° F (+35° C).
OPTICAL MOUSE INFORMATION
User-observable light is 15 microwatts in normal operation.
Components of this product have been tested to comply with International
Standard IEC 60821-1-1993/A2-2001. This product uses LEDs that are
inherently Class 1.1-1993/A2-2001. This product uses LEDs that are inher-
ently Class 1.

BATTERY PRECAUTIONS
Keep batteries out of the reach of children.
Insert the batteries in the proper direction as indicated by the positive (+)
and negative (-) markings on the battery and battery compartment.
Do not mix old and new batteries, or batteries of differing types (e.g.,
carbon and alkaline).
Always remove old, weak, or discharged batteries properly and dispose of
them in accordance with Local and Federal Disposal Regulations.
Remove batteries if the product is not being used for an extended period
of time.
If a batteries leak, remove all batteries and recycle or dispose of them
in accordance with the battery manufacturer’s instructions and Local and
Federal Disposal Regulations. Before inserting new batteries, thoroughly
clean the battery compartment with a damp paper towel or follow the bat-
tery manufacturer’s recommendations for cleanup. If fluid from the battery
comes in contact with the skin or clothes, flush with water immediately.
DO NOT INSTALL BATTERIES INCORRECTLY. Carefully observe the mark-
ings on both the device and the batteries themselves for the the positive (+)
and negative (-) markings.
Do not puncture, open, or mutilate the batteries.
Do not heat batteries.
Do not use a fire to dispose of batteries.
Product Disposal Information
Dispose of your Zspire mouse in accordance with Local and Federal Disposal
Regulations.

This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following
two conditions:
(1) This device may not cause harmful interference.
(2) This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may
cause undesired operation.
Any changes or modifications (including the antennas) made to this device that are not
expressly approved by the manufacturer may void the user's authority to operate the
equipment.
