Install the3GUSIMbeforeconnection
toEasyGate3G.You must switchoff
PINprotection.
Connect datacabletobottom
connector and voicecabletoheadset
connector.Fasten the beltson phone
holder around the phone properlyto
avoidaphone damage.TheV-
phonesmustbe open tooperate.
TelephoneLineConnection
EasyGate3Gcan be connected to
anyFXO-interfaceequipment
(standard telephone set,answering
machine,PBXCOline,...).
EasyGate3G isequippedwithidentification ofcalling
party(CLIP)viaFSK and soitisadvantageoustoconnect a
terminalthat is abletodisplaytheCLI.
PowerSupplyConnection
EasyGate3G isfed with10-16VDCvoltage.Where asource
otherthanthe includedsupplyadapter isused,the voltage
range andpolarityshown onthe EasyGate3G supply
connectorhavetobe maintained.
ExternalAntennaconnection
Incaseofbad signalstrengthor radiointerferenceon
telephone line,installrecommendedexternalantenna for used
Motorolaphone.
SIMCardPINprotection
1.Unfortunately,MotorolaUMTSphonesdon’t
supportPINentering viadatainterface.Itis
notpossibletoprotectyour 3GUSIMbyPIN,
pleaseswitchthe PINprotectionoff before
connecting toEasyGate3G.
Outgoing Call
1.Supposethatthe USIMhasbeeninserted,
the PINnotrequired,and EasyGate3G
registered toGSMnetwork–the GSM
Network LEDis permanentlyon.
2.Hookoff the telephone,you canhear the
dialtone and the Line LEDstarts flashing.
3.Dialthe GSMsubscriber number.
EasyGate3Greceivestone dialling (DTMF)
bydefault. Ifyour telephone transmits pulse
dialling only,programEasyGate3Gto
receivepulsedialling.When youmakea
delayinyour dialling longerthan 5s
(programmable), the connection is established.
4.If the called subscriber isavailable,you can
hear the ringing tone.Ifnot, you can hear the
busytone or anyofthe GSMprovider’s
messages.
5.When the called subscriber answersthe call,
acall isestablished.The Line LEDis
permanentlyon during the call.
6.Hang uptoterminatethecall. TheLineLEDgoes
off. If the calledsubscriber isthefirsttohang up,
youcanhear thebusytone andhangup.

1.Anincoming call issignalled byringing.The
Line LEDflashes duringringing.
2.Hookoff the phone toestablishthecall.The
Line LEDispermanentlyon duringthe call.
