Ortholux™Luminous Curing Light Technique Guide
TIME button
1. If handpiece is in SLEEP
mode, briefly press START
button to wake up unit
5. For Tack Cure, press and hold
START button
2. Use eye-shield and/or orange
glasses
6. Rotate light guide independent of
eye-shield to achieve desired light
guide position and eye protection
during cure
3. Clean both ends of light
guide with a soft cloth. Light
guide can be autoclaved
3. Press TIME button to select
exposure time
7. Hold light guide 1-2 mm
above appliance,
perpendicular to tooth
surface
4. Clean charger, handpiece,
eye-shield by spraying
disinfectant on a towel and
wiping down
5. Wipe dry all parts
before use
6. To remove battery from
handpiece turn counter-clockwise
1. Measure light intensity by
placing light guide tip flat
on testing area located on
charger base and activating
the light
2. Remove and inspect
both ends of light guide
for cracks, chips, dried
adhesive, etc.
4. Briefly press and release
START button to activate selected
exposure time

and insert battery into
handpiece. Tighten by
turning clockwise
