3. DESCRIPTION
The YAV90059 module is controlled through CAN Bus and features104 DPST relays forming
two 4-poles, 2-Poles or 1-Pole Multi-configuration Multiplexers.
The configuration of the multiplexer is selected by a software command. The ‘mode’ is an
analog output Phi6 function, where the input parameter can be 1 to 13. The modes available are
the following:
1. 8 x(1x16) →8 banks of 16 individual outputs. This is the default mode.
2. 4x(1x32) →4 banks of 32 individual outputs.
3. 1x(1x64) + 2x(1x32) →1 bank of 64 individual outputs and 2 banks of 32 individual
outputs.
4. 1x(1x96) + 1x(1x32) →1 bank of 96 individual outputs and 1 bank of 32 individual outputs.
5. 2(1x64) →2 banks of 64 individual outputs.
6. 1(1x128) →1 bank of 128 individual outputs.
7. 8 x(2x8) →8 banks of 8 double outputs.
8. 4 x(2x16) →4 banks of 16 double outputs.
9. 1 x(2x32) + 2x(2x16) →1 bank of 32 double outputs and 2 banks of 16 double outputs.
10. 1 x(2x48) + 1x(2x16) →1 bank of 48 double outputs and 1 bank of 16 double outputs.
11. 2 x(2x32) →2 banks of 32 double outputs.
12. 1 x(2x64) →1 bank of 64 double outputs.
13. 4x(4x8) →4 banks of 8 quadruple outputs (2 locked double outputs).

The logic address is composed by 2 elements: the module
identification and the hardware address. The module identification is
set on firmware and cannot be changed. The hardware address is
selected by switches 3 to 8, being 3 the least significant bit (LSB) and
8 the most significant bit (MSB):

SW3
RESET
Must be OPEN on operation. A temporary bridge causes a reset of the board.

11. OPERATION
Through the PHI6 Explorer soft panel the user can interface with the YAV90059 board
manually. This tool is a very useful for table-top debugging of test-systems or system
maintenance on-site.
The panel displays the relays in two pages, 4 banks in each page.
Activate relays
By clicking a relay in the panel, the relay closes and
its status in the panel is updated.
Reset: Reset button will put all relays in ‘Open’
status.
Config tags
To operate with Phi6 driver each row/column must be
given a tag name. By clicking this button, the panel
will change its background color from grey to yellow,
and tag name can be modified.

14. UNPACKAGINGAND INSTALLING
The YAV90059 is supplied vacuum packed to avoid the intrusion of external agents during
transport and storage and on an antistatic package. To start using the product just remove
vacuum bag carefully to avoid damage.
To install the YAV90059 simply insert the module on a VPC receiver, vertical or horizontally,
according to the Receiver arrangement. Once it is completely inserted, fix YAV module with two
4-40 UNC screws on each side of connector. Tight them using a 3/32 Allen wrench at full
revolutions. Torque should be 0.45Nm max.
Finally, connect the X1 rear plug of CAN bus and power supply (24VDC) to start using the
module.
