Bluetooth wireless is a quick and easy way to connect a
smartphone to a speaker or a headset. There are basically
two steps to making Bluetooth work.
PAIRING: The two devices
get to know each other.
CONNECTING: The two
devices do something
together (like play music).
“Hi. I’m a
phone.”
This guide takes you through the steps to get started.
Getting to know Bluetooth

Make sure the following items came in this package:
• the Canz XL speaker
• an AC adapter
Step 1: Unpack
Before you start using the Canz XL speaker for the first
time, it’s a good idea to charge it completely.
Step 2: Charge the Canz XL
To charge the speaker: Plug the
included AC adapter into the DC IN
jack on the speaker’s back panel.
Plug the other end of the AC
adapter into an AC outlet or surge
protector.
The charging indicator next to the
DC IN jack is red while the speaker
is charging. It turns green when the
speaker is fully charged.
Note: You can use the speaker while it’s
charging.

Make sure the indicator light
on the front of the speaker is
blinking rapidly. (If it isn’t, give
a short double-press on the
button. The speaker gives an
audio signal.)
Step 3: Turn on
Press and hold the button on
the top of the speaker.
The power-up tone sounds and
the indicator light on the front
of the speaker starts blinking.
After a few seconds, the
speaker goes to Bluetooth
pairing mode to set up with
your smartphone.

If you’ve previously paired your phone or other Bluetooth device with this
speaker, the speaker will automatically attempt to reconnect to that device
when you switch the speaker on. If you want to pair to a new device, give
a short double-press to the button. The speaker gives a signal and the
indicator light on the front of the speaker starts blinking.
Choose 808 Canz XL from the pairing options on your
smartphone. (If it’s not in the list, choose “Scan” from your
phone’s Bluetooth menu.)
The speaker gives an audio signal when it’s finished pairing
and connecting to your smartphone. The indicator light on
the front of the speaker turns solid blue.
Note: The process of enabling Bluetooth and connecting varies from device
to device. See your device’s owners manual for more information and specific
instructions.
Bluetooth Wireless Connection Tips
• Make sure the Bluetooth capability of your device is turned on.
• Make sure there’s nothing plugged into the speaker’s AUX IN jack when
you’re trying to use Bluetooth.
• The Bluetooth wireless connection works up to a range of roughly 33 feet (10
meters). This range may vary, however, based on other factors, such as room
layout, wall material, obstacles, your device’s Bluetooth performance, etc. If you’re
having problems connecting to this speaker, move closer to it.
• If your device asks you for a password to connect, use “0000”.
• If you’ve paired your device with the speaker before but you’re having trouble
reconnecting when you turn the speaker back on, give a short press to the
button while the indicator light on the front of the speaker is flashing. The speaker
will attempt to connect to a previously paired device.

Press the + and –buttons on the top of the speaker (or use
the volume controls on your phone).
Set your device’s volume for music
to 50%.
Note: This is to make sure the sound from the
speaker isn’t too loud when you start streaming.
Start playing music or other audio
on your device. Within seconds, the
speaker starts streaming the audio
wirelessly via Bluetooth.

Using Bass Boost
The Canz XL speaker has a Bass Boost feature that
enhances the lower frequencies in your music. Bass Boost
is turned on by default. Press the button on the top of
the speaker to toggle Bass Boost on and o.

Use a 3.5mm audio cable (not
included) to connect the audio
output from your device to
the AUX IN audio input on the
speaker’s back panel.
The speaker automatically
switches to the AUX IN audio,
and the indicator light on the
front of the speaker turns solid
white.
To listen to Bluetooth audio
again, unplug the cable from
the speaker’s AUX IN jack. The
speaker will try to reconnect to
the last Bluetooth device.

Top
• it puts the speaker into pairing mode (short double-press when
the speaker’s on) to connect to a new Bluetooth device
• it attempts to reconnect to the last paired device (short single-
press when the speaker’s on).
button switches between bass boost and regular equalization.

Indicator light shows the Bluetooth status of
the speaker:
• fast blinking blue while pairing
• slow blinking blue while reconnecting
• solid blue when paired
• solid white when the AUX IN jack is in use
• o when the speaker’s o.

AUX IN jack lets you connect an audio device
directly to the speaker using a 3.5mm audio
cable.
Charge indicator shows the charging status of
the speaker:
• solid red while charging
• green when fully charged
DC IN jack connects to the provided AC adapter to plug the speaker
into a wall outlet or surge protector.

The Canz XL has a built-in handle
that comes in the package latched
closed. To unlatch the handle,
press on the latch release on the
speaker back and pull up on the
handle. To latch the handle back
in place, press on the latch release
and push the handle back in.

La liaison sans fil Bluetooth est une solution rapide et
simple pour connecter un téléphone intelligent à un
haut-parleur ou à un casque d’écoute. Il y a deux étapes
fondamentales pour faire fonctionner Bluetooth.

S’assurer que les articles suivants sont inclus dans
l’emballage :
• le haut-parleur Canz XL
• un adaptateur c.a.
Étape 1 : Déballer
Avant de commencer à utiliser le haut-parleur Canz XL pour
la première fois, il est conseillé de le charger complètement.
Étape 2 : Charger le Canz XL
Pour charger le haut-parleur :
Brancher le câble de chargement
c.a. inclus sur la prise DC IN située
sur le panneau arrière du haut-
parleur. Brancher l’autre extrémité
du câble c.a. sur une prise murale
ou un parasurtenseur.
Le voyant de charge à proximité de
la prise DC IN est rouge pendant
que le haut-parleur se charge. Le
voyant devient vert lorsque le haut-
parleur est complètement chargé.
Remarque : Il est possible d’utiliser le haut-
parleur pendant qu’il se charge.

Activer la fonction Bluetooth

Étape 3 : Allumer
Appuyer sur le bouton situé
sur la partie supérieure du haut-
parleur et le maintenir enfoncé.
Le son de mise en marche est
émis et le voyant à l’avant du
haut-parleur clignote.
Après quelques secondes, le
haut-parleur passe en mode
d’appariement Bluetooth pour
se configurer avec le téléphone
intelligent.

Si votre téléphone ou tout autre appareil Bluetooth a été apparié antérieurement
au haut-parleur, celui-ci, lorsqu’il est allumé, essaie automatiquement de se
reconnecter à cet appareil. Pour apparier le haut-parleur à un nouvel appareil,
appuyer rapidement deux fois sur le bouton . Le haut-parleur émet un signal
sonore et le voyant situé sur l’avant du haut-parleur clignote.
Sélectionnez 808 Canz XL dans les options d’appariement
de votre téléphone intelligent. (S’il ne figure pas sur la
liste, choisir « Balayer/Scan » dans le menu Bluetooth du
téléphone.)
Le haut-parleur émet un signal sonore lorsque l’appariement
et la connexion à votre téléphone intelligent sont terminés.
Le voyant à l’avant du haut-parleur devient bleu continu.
Remarque : Le processus d’activation Bluetooth et de connexion varie d’un
appareil à l’autre. Se reporter au manuel du propriétaire de l’appareil pour
obtenir des informations supplémentaires et des instructions spécifiques.
Conseils pour la connexion sans fil Bluetooth
• Vérifier que la fonction Bluetooth de l’appareil est activée.
• Vérifier que rien n’est branché dans la prise AUX IN du haut-parleur lorsqu’il
s’agit d’utiliser Bluetooth.
• La connexion sans fil Bluetooth dispose d’une portée d’environ 10 m (33 pi).
Cependant, cette portée peut varier en fonction d’autres facteurs, tels que
l’agencement de la pièce, le matériau des murs, les obstacles, la performance
Bluetooth de votre appareil, etc. En cas de problème de connexion avec ce
haut-parleur, s’en rapprocher.
• Si l’appareil demande un mot de passe pour se connecter, utiliser « 0000 ».
• Si l’appareil a déjà été apparié avec le haut-parleur auparavant mais qu’il
présente des dicultés pour se reconnecter quand le haut-parleur est rallumé,
appuyer brièvement sur le bouton lorsque le voyant à l’avant du haut-
parleur clignote. Le haut-parleur eectuera une tentative de connexion à un
appareil apparié précédemment.

Réglage du volume audio : Appuyer sur les boutons +et –
sur le dessus du haut-parleur (ou utiliser les commandes de
volume du téléphone).
Réduire le volume sonore de l’appareil
à 50 % pour écouter de la musique.
Remarque : Cela permet de s’assurer que le
son émis par le haut-parleur n’est pas trop fort
lorsque démarre la diusion en flux.
Démarrer l’écoute de musique ou
de toute autre source audio sur
l’appareil. En quelques secondes, le
haut-parleur diuse l’audio en flux
sans fil via Bluetooth.

Utilisation de l’amplificateur de
basses (Bass Boost)
Le haut-parleur Canz XL dispose d’un amplificateur de
basses qui améliore la reproduction des fréquences basses
de votre musique. L’amplificateur de basses est activé par
défaut. Appuyer sur le bouton sur le dessus du haut-
parleur pour activer ou désactiver l’amplificateur de basses.

Le bouton dispose de trois
fonctions :
• il allume ou éteint le
haut-parleur (appuyer et
maintenir enfoncé)
• il met le haut-parleur en mode d’appariement (double pression
rapide quand le haut-parleur est allumé) pour lui permettre de
se connecter à un nouvel appareil Bluetooth
• il eectue une tentative de reconnexion au dernier appareil
Bluetooth connecté (appui unique rapide quand le haut-parleur
est allumé).
Le bouton permet de passer du mode amplification des basses
à l’égalisation normale et inversement.
Les boutons – / + baissent ou augmentent le volume sonore du
haut-parleur.

Le voyant indique l’état de connexion Bluetooth
du haut-parleur :
• bleu clignotant rapidement pendant
l’appariement
• bleu clignotant lentement pendant une
reconnexion
•bleu continu lorsque l’appariement est terminé
•blanc continu lorsque la prise AUX IN
est utilisée
•o lorsque le haut-parleur est éteint.

La prise AUX IN permet de connecter un
appareil audio directement au haut-parleur au
moyen d’un câble audio de 3,5 mm.
Le voyant de charge indique l’état de charge
du haut-parleur :
• rouge continu pendant la charge
• vert lorsque le haut-parleur est complètement chargé
La prise DC IN se connecte à l’adaptateur c.a. fourni pour brancher
le haut-parleur sur une prise murale ou un parasurtenseur.

Utilisation de la poignée

Le Canz XL dispose d’une poignée
intégrée fournie dans l’emballage
en position fermée. Pour l’ouvrir,
appuyez sur la languette de
dégagement située à l’arrière
du haut-parleur et relevez la
poignée. Pour remettre la poignée
en position fermée, appuyez sur
la languette de dégagement et
baissez la poignée.
