Step 1: Click This icon on your toolbar
Step 2: Click “All Settings” or “Network”.
If click “Network” go to Step 4

Step 4: Click
WIFI
Step 5: Click Show available networks
Step 6: Click on Deskmate Hotspot
You can find the name of the SSID
by looking at the product label
located on the bottom of the
Deskmate.

Step 7: Click “Connect”
Step 08: In your web browser of choice select the URL/Search field and type
the default homepage IP address of the hotspot:
192.168.100.1 and press enter

Step 09: At Deskmate login screen
Enter default username and
Password:
“ admin ” (lowercase no quotes)
Click LOGIN.
You have now reached the control panel of the Deskmate

Connecting to Deskmate by Mobile (Android) Device
Step 1: Swipe down the notification bar.
Locate the “Gear” symbol. Click it.
Step 2: Locate your WIFI menu
i.e. Network and internet
Click into the menu
Download App from Google Store:

Step 3:Locate WIFI, Click into the sub-menu
Step 4: Turn on the WIFI
Step 5: Select the Deskmate hotspot
You can find the name of the SSID by looking
at the product label located on the bottom
of the Deskmate.

Step 6:
If there is two SSID with the same name.
Choose the one that does not require a
password. i.e. the SSID without the Lock symbol
Step 7:
In your web browser of choice select the
URL/Search field and type the default homepage
IP address of the hotspot:

At Deskmate login screen
Enter default username and

Step 2: Click on the Air Halo Deskmate
App icon on your android device
Step 3: Press the “Refresh”
button to search for Air Halo
Deskmate’s within range

Step 4: The available Deskmate’s you can
connect to will be displayed.
“Signal Good” means the connection is
strong.
“Signal bad” means the connection is bad
and you should move closer to the device
Step 5: Clicking on the specific
Deskmate’s will initiate

router

Hotspot Customisation
Customisation of the WIFI hotspots allows personalisation
of:
SSID name is customisable to a 64 alpha-numeric entry
Password is customised to a 24 alpha-numeric entry
Customisable fields
Channels refer to the WIFI bandwidth the
Hotspot operates on.
This is set to “Auto” and cannot be manually
altered
Select the type
of WIFI
authorisation:
WPA2 Personal,
WPA2, Open or
Shared
After completion the
customisation
of the Hotspot, click
“Apply” to complete the
changes.

WIFI Local Area Network (WLAN) on Home Router
Connecting to a WLAN from a home router can be configure in the Network panel, under WLAN
connection.
You can connect multiple Deskmate's to the same WLAN, each one are uniquely identified by it’s
Device name.
Repeat the above steps for each additional Deskmate you are connecting
Step 01: Click the
“Search WIFI” button
to list compatible
WLAN to connect to.
Step 02: Open the list
to select the desired
WLAN available
Step 03: Entry WLAN
password
Step 04: Apply settings to connect to the WLAN
