ZSE40 Vacuum Switch Setup
1. Press and hold the SET key until the display shows a unit of measurement such as kPa,
psi, ect.
2. Then using the UP and Down keys navigate to the correct unit which is InHg for inches
of mercury.
3. Now return to the main display by pressing the SET key. This should bring you to a
screen with a low number on it for the current/live reading.
4. Press the SET key again and the display should read P_1 toggling to a number and then
back again.
5. Using the Arrow Keys adjust the number to P_1 setting on prints which would be the
ON trigger point of the vacuum switch.
6. Press the SET key again to go to P_2 and set to P_2 settings on prints which would be
the OFF trigger point of the vacuum switch. And press the SET key again.
7. Displayed will be P_3 which we leave set at its default. Press the SET key again so the
display reads P_4 and again leave this set at its default.
8. Now press the SET key until you are back to the main page which should have a low
number reading on it such as 0.0 to 0.4.
9. The Out 1 indicator should not be illuminated at this point and you are ready for
production.
System vacuum switch settings – P_1 = 18; P_2 = 15
Secondary vacuum switch settings – P_1 = 15; P_2 = 12
By setting these switches up in this manner the Vacuum switch will provide an output when we get
to 17.0 InHg and it will not loose its signal unless we drop below 15.0 InHg.

ZSE40A Vacuum Switch Setup
1. Enter Function Selection Mode – Press and hold (> 2 sec.) the Skey until the display
shows F 0
a. If LoC is displayed, hold the S key for > 5, press the Down key once, then press
Sbutton once to enter the setting.
2. Reset the unit to default settings – From F 0 press the Down key once to navigate to
F99; Press the S key, then the Up arrow to toggle to on; Hold the Skey and the Down
arrow key for > 5 seconds.
3. From F99 press the UP key once to navigate to F 0 and press the S key once to display
Uni. Press the UP key once to set display to inH.
4. Press the Skey once to return to F 0.
5. From F 0 press the UP key once to navigate to F 1 and press the S key 3 times so the
display reads P_1. Verify that the display reads -15.0 (or the setting stated on the prints;
-18.0 for the system vacuum switch). Press the S key 1 more time so the display reads
H_1. Using the UP and Down keys set display to 3.0.
6. Press the Skey 2 times to return to F 1.
7. Setting F 2 (P_2) is not necessary for Aagard’s standard application.
8. Now return to the main display by pressing the Skey for > 2 seconds. This should bring
you to a screen with a low number on it for the current/live reading.
System vacuum switch settings – P_1 = -18.0
Secondary vacuum switch settings – P_1 = -15.0
By setting these switches up in this manner the system vacuum switch will provide an output when
we get to 18.0 InHg and it will not loose its signal unless we drop below 15.0 InHg. The secondary
vacuum switch set points will be 15.0 & 12.0 respectively.
These switches are sent with a PSI label affixed to the upper right corner of the display (The ZSE
model can sense both vacuum & pressure). There are extra labels that are shipped with each
switch. Be sure to remove the PSI label and replace it with the in/Hg when this
procedure is completed.

ISE40A Pressure Switch Setup
1. Enter Function Selection mode – Press and hold the Skey (> 2 sec.) until the display
reads F 0
a. If LoC is displayed, hold the S key for > 5, press the Down key once, then press
Sbutton once to enter the setting.
2. Reset unit to default settings – Press the Down key once to navigate to F99; Press the S
key once, then the Up arrow once to toggle to on; Hold the Skey and the Down arrow
key for > 5 seconds.
3. From F99 press the UP key twice to navigate to F 1 and press the S key 3 times until the
display reads P_1. Using the UP and Down keys set display to the setting on the
prints (Aagard standard setting is 65 psi). Press the Skey once to display H_1. Using
the UP and Down keys set display to 1.0. Press the Skey 2 times to return to F 1.
4. Setting F 2 (P_2) is not necessary for Aagard’s standard application.
5. Now return to the main display by pressing an holding the Skey for > 2 seconds. This
should bring you to a screen with a low number on it for the current/live reading.
6. The Out 1 indicator should not be illuminated at this point if system air hasn’t been
applied yet.
System pressure switch settings – P_1 = 65.0
By setting these switches up in this manner the pressure switch will provide an output when
system pressure gets to 65.0 PSI and it will loose its signal when it drops below 64.0 PSI.

PF2A Flow Switch Setup
1. Press and hold the SET key until the display shows d_1
2. Press the SET key and verify that the following values are entered: U_1, o10, o20, 1_n,
2_P, Anr. Using the UP and Down keys change the values as needed.
3. Press the SET key until n_1 and its set point toggles. Using the UP and Down keys, set
the values on the electrical prints as needed.
4. The OUT 1 indicator should not be illuminated at this point if system air hasn’t been
applied yet.
By setting these switches up in this manner the flow switch will provide the OUT 1 output until the
system air flow reaches the n_1 set point and will provide the OUT 2 output when it reaches the
P_3 set point.
