本製品は対象物の検出を行なうもので、事故防
止など安全確保を目的とした制御機能を持つも
のではありません。
防爆仕様の指定場所では使用しないでください。
本製品は防爆構造ではありません。
本製品を絶対に焼却しないでください。PFA、
PVCを使用しており、焼却すると有毒ガスを
発生します。

■取付方法
本器は水平面に取り付けてください。
取付ベースを固定した後、スイッチ本体を取付ベー
スに挿入し、本体のサポートレバーを倒して固定し
てください。
取付ベースの固定方法には、次の 2 種類があります。
●ねじ止めの場合
取付ベースのノックアウトホールを打ち抜き、
M4 ねじ 2 本を通し、M4 ナット 2 個で取り付けて
ください。

取り扱い上の注意
• 推奨締付トルクは、0.5 N･m以下です。
• 取付面からのねじの長さは、13mm以下になる
ようにしてください。長すぎるとサポートレバー
と干渉しスイッチ本体が固定できなくなります。
• 高温環境などで使用する場合、ねじの緩み防止
のため、バネ座金やねじロック剤などの緩み対
策をお勧めします。
●接着固定の場合
適切な接着剤を使用し、取付ベースを接着して
ください。
取り扱い上の注意
• 接着剤は均一に薄く塗布してください。厚
すぎると検出面が浮いてしまいます。
• 接着剤が底面からはみ出さないように接着
してください。
• 接着剤がはみ出すと本体の取り付け、取り
外しに支障をきたしたり、検出性能を損な
う恐れがあります。
■取り扱い上の注意
●設置・結線上の注意
・取り付け、取り外しは必ず電源の供給元を切っ
た状態で行ってください。
・本器を常時液体にさらされる用途には使用し
ないでください。
・本器の検出部に気泡が溜まると検出が不安定
になることがあります。
・コードを延長するときは 0.3mm2以上の電線を
使用し、延長距離は 100 ｍ以下としてください。
・市販のスイッチングレギュレータを使用する
ときは、フレームグランド端子を接地してく
ださい。
接地しないとスイッチングノイズにより誤動
作することがあります。
・電源を入れてから安定に動作するまでの時間
は約 50ms です。
・本器への配線は単独または別配管により配線
してください。電力線や動力線と同一配管す
ると、誘導により誤動作や破損の原因になり
ます。
・検出面に液体の残りや傷があると誤動作する
ことがあります。
・本体取り付け後、コード引きまわしなどでコー
ドを強く引っ張ると取付ベースから外れる場
合があります。コード配線後本体がしっかり
と固定されているか再度確認してください。
●保守時の注意
・  本器が汚れた場合は柔らかい清潔な布などで検
出面に傷をつけないように拭き取ってください。
・取付ベースとサポートレバーは PVC 製です。
この部分にはベンゼン、アセトン、シンナー
などの有機溶剤は使用しないでください。
●廃棄時の注意
・本器は PFA、PVC を使用しています。
焼却すると有毒ガスを発生します。絶対に焼
却しないでください。
・本器を廃棄するときは、産業廃棄物として各自
治体の条例に従って適切に処理してください。
取り扱いを誤った場合に、使用者が死亡また
は重傷を負う危険の状態が生じることが想定
される場合。

●Key to symbols
WARNING
• This product (switch) is designed to detect a tar-
get object but does not have any control func-
tions to secure safety such as accident preven-
tion.
• The device is not incorporated in an explosion-
proof structure. Therefore, never use it in a des-
ignated place subject to explosion-proof speci-
cations.
• Absolutely don’t incinerate this product. It is made
of PFA and PVC substances that expel poisonous
gases when burnt.

■Mounting method
Mounttheswitchhorizontally.Aerlockingthemounting
plateinposition,inserttheswitchbodyontothemount-
ingplateandxitbytiltingdownthelockingclaspofthe
switch.
●Screw fastening
Remove the knock-out holes of the mounting base,
and insert two (2) 4 mm dia. screws and fasten the
switchwithtwo(2)4mmdia.nuts. unit: mm
Handling Precautions
• The recommended tightening torque is 0.5 N•m
max.
• Verify that the amount of thread protruding
from the mounting face doesn’t exceed 13 mm.
Otherwise, the thread will interfere with the
locking clasp and could aect locking the switch
body into position.
• Application of spring washer or adhesives is rec-
ommended to protect the switch from loosening
when used in high temperature environment.
●Attachment using adhesives
Useanappropriateadhesiveandgluethemountingbase.
Handling Precautions
• Apply a thin coating of the adhesive uniformly.
Too much adhesive will cause the detecting face
to oat.
• Make sure no adhesive seeps from the edges.
• If any adhesive seeps from the switch body,
there may be diculty mounting or removing
the switch. In addition, such a condition may
interfere with the detecting capabilities of the
device.
■Handling Precautions
●Precautions on installation and wiring
•Turn o the power supply before mounting or re-
movingtheswitch.
•Neverusethisswitchforapplicationsbeingconstant-
lyexposedtoaliquid.
•epresenceofairbubblesonthesensingareaofthe
switchmayresultinunstabledetection.
•If anextensionofcordisnecessary,usea 0.3mm2
(minimum)cableofalengthof100mmaximum.
•Whenusingacommerciallyboughtswitchingregu-
lator,groundtheamegroundterminal.Otherwise,
theswitchingnoisemayresultindetectionerrors.
•Approximately50ms is requiredto reachtostable
operationaerthepoweristurnedon.
•Route the wires of the switch separately from
power lines or through an  exclusive conduit.
Otherwise,anelectricalsurgemayresultinthemal-
functionoftheswitchorcausedamagetothedevice.
•Errorsmayoccurifanyliquidisonthesensingface
orifthesensingfaceisscratched.
•Ifthecordisstronglypulledoutbypullingaround,etc.,
aer mounting the switch body, it may be dislocated
fromthemountingbase.Makesuretocheckonceagain
iftheswitchisrmlyattachedaercordwiring.
●Maintenance
•WhentheHPQSeriesbecomesdirty,wipecleanwith
thesoanddriedcloth.
•MountingbaseandlockingclasparemadeofPVC.
Donotapplyanyorganicsolventssuchasbenzene,
acetone and thinner to avoid aecting the device’s
colorchangeortoavoidanypossibledamage.
●Disposal
•Absolutelydon’tincineratethisproduct.Itismadeof
PFAandPVCsubstancesthatexpelpoisonousgases
whenburnt.
•When the HPQ Series is to be scrapped, follow all
applicablelocalindustrialwastecodes.
