1.General description
SafeRing and SafePlus are switchboards for ring distribution
networks (RMU) and compact switchboards for medium volt-
age distribution networks respectively.
The SafeRing system can be supplied in standard 2-, 3- or 4-
way configurations, with additional apparatus according to
customer specifications (DF, CCF, CCC, CCCF, CCFF, DV,
CCV, CCCC, CCCV, CCVV).
The SafePlus system has unique flexibility, thanks to the
possibility of enlarging it and its configuration in a totally or
partially modular system (Be - SL - Sv - M - C - De - D - F - V).
The SafeRing and SafePlus systems are completely sealed in
a stainless steel container which encloses all the live parts and
the operating apparatus. The transformer protection module is
available with a switch-disconnector combined with fuses or
with a vacuum circuit-breaker.
The switchboard are supplied ready for installation.
Routine tests are carried out on all the units before shipment.
No special tools are needed to install the apparatus.

necessary when SL is on the right-hand side of the SF6

1.Descrizione generale
SafeRing e SafePlus rispettivamente sono quadri per reti di
distribuzione ad anello (RMU) e quadri compatti per reti di
distribuzione di media tensione.
Il sistema SafeRing può essere fornito in configurazioni stan-
dard a 2, 3 o 4 vie, con apparecchiature aggiuntive in base alle
specifichedelcliente(DF,CCF,CCC,CCCF,CCFF,DV,CCV,
CCCC, CCCV, CCVV).
Il sistema SafePlus vanta una flessibilità unica, grazie alla
propria espandibilità e alla possibile configurazione in sistema
totalmente o parzialmente modulare (Be - SL - Sv - M - C - De
- D - F - V).
I sistemi SafeRing e SafePlus sono completamente sigillati in
un contenitore di acciaio inox che racchiude tutte le parti attive
e gli apparecchi di manovra. Il modulo protezione trasformato-
re è disponibile con interruttore di manovra-sezionatore com-
binato con fusibili o con interruttore in vuoto.
I quadri sono forniti pronti per l’installazione.
Prove di routine vengono eseguite su tutte le unità prima della
spedizione.
Non sono richiesti attrezzi speciali per l’installazione delle
apparecchiature.

Sistema SafeRing / SafePlus con interruttore di manovra-
sezionatore combinato con fusibili in accordo alla norma
IEC 60420.
In questa unità, il trasformatore è protetto mediante fusibili
limitatori di corrente di media tensione, abbinati a un interrut-
tore di manovra-sezionatore con comando ad accumulo di
energia e meccanismo a molla azionabile dal percussore del
fusibile.
SafeRing / SafePlus con interruttore in vuoto in accordo
alla norma IEC 60056
In questa unità, il trasformatore è protetto mediante un interrut-
toreinvuoto combinato con relè e trasformatoriamperometrici.
I relè in dotazione sono basati sulla tecnologia digitale e non
richiedono l’uso di un alimentatore esterno.

In this unit the transformer is protected by means of medium
voltage current-limiting fuses, combined with a switch-
disconnector with stored energy operating mechanism and
spring operated by the fuse striker.
SafeRing / SafePlus with vacuum circuit-breaker accord-
ing to the IEC 60056 Standard
In this unit the transformer is protected by means of a vacuum
circuit-breaker combined with relays and current transformers.
The relays provided are based on digital technology and do not
require the use of an external feeder.

2.1. Controllo al ricevimento
Al ricevimento verificare che le apparecchiature non abbiano
subito danni durante il trasporto. Qualora si rilevi la presenza
di danni, è necessario presentare immediatamente un reclamo
al vettore o alla società di trasporti.
Al termine del disimballo, è sempre opportuno:
1. Controllare la presenza della maniglia di azionamento.
2. Verificare che la lancetta dell’indicatore di pressione si trovi
nell’area di colore verde.
3. Sottoporre i componenti meccanici ad opportuni test
funzionali.
In caso di errori, difetti od omissioni, informare immediatamen-
te il fornitore.
2.2. Magazzinaggio
I quadri devono essere immagazzinati in un ambiente chiuso,
asciutto e ben aerato, fino al momento dell’installazione e della
messa in servizio.
2.1. Checking on receipt
On receipt, check that the apparatus has not been damaged
during transport. Should any damage be noted, a complaint
must be sent to the carrier or shipping company immediately.
On completion of unpacking, it is always advisable to:
1. Check that the operating handle is present.
2. Check that the pressure indicator pointer is in the green
area.
3. Carry out suitable functional tests on the mechanical com-
ponents.
Should any errors, defects or omissions be found, inform the
supplier immediately.
2.2. Storage
The switchboards must be stored in a closed, dry and well-
ventilated room until they are installed and put into service.
