ABOUT VITAL: A Wireless Asset Tracker
A versatile, robust, and affordable wireless hour meter reader that does much more than
simply record equipment run time. Locate your fleet through GPS tracking, receive
notifications when equipment issues arise, and schedule maintenance requests from
any location.

CONFIGURATION
INPUT VERIFICATION
ENTER HOUR METERS
Step 1: Press the “MENU” button (gear icon).
Step 2: Enter password given and then press “OK”
(check mark icon).
Step 3: Use the arrow keys to navigate to the “Input
Status” option on the screen.
Step 4: Toggle input indicated on display. Based on the
state of the input, it should say either “ON” or “OFF”.
Step 5: Check the next input using the arrow keys.
Note: If Inputs are sensed backwards, change its logic
from Active High to Active Low or vice versa in “Input
Settings”.
Step 1: Install device as per the connection diagram (on
page 5).
Step 2: Ensure device is powered up by removing top
cover. Display should say “System OK”.
Step 1: Using the arrow keys navigate to the “Hour
Meters” option.
Step 2: Press “OK” to edit the reading.
Step 3: Enter the new reading and press “OK”.
Step 4: Edit the next input using arrow keys.

CHECK CONNECTIVITY
HOW TO ENTER SSID AND PASSWORDS (only for Wi-Fi units)
FINAL VERIFICATION
Step 1: Ensure the device is in range with a gateway.
Step 2: While in Menu, navigate to “Connectivity”.
Step 3: Press “OK”.
Step 4: Wait a few seconds. If connectivity is successful, it
should say “Connectivity OK”.
Step 1: Using the arrow keys navigate to the “Network” option.
Step 2: Press “OK”.
Step 3: Enter the SSID number and press “OK”.
Step 4: Enter the password and press “OK”.
Step 5: Next, using the arrow keys navigate to the “Security”
option.
Step 6: Select “WPA-2 Personal” and press “OK”.
Step 1: Log in to the unit with the keypad.
Step 2: While in Menu, navigate to “Connectivity”.
Step 3: Press “OK”.
Step 4: Wait a few seconds. If connectivity is successful, it
should say “Connectivity OK”.
Step 5: Make sure to check for the network bars, if the bars
appear on the top of the screen then the device is
communicating to AssetPro 360.
