stylishly slim design. The TravelMate™660 is a flexible

offering powerful performance, manageability, dockability,
multimedia and security combined with up to 5 hours
battery life and a large screen to enable even the most
demanding end user to migrate from a stationary computer
to a truly independent mobile desktop replacement.

As technology advances towards powerful, fully unwired
mobile computing, the need arises to ensure that
professionals from the broadest business backgrounds have
easy access to integrated computing powerhouses.
Featuring the latest and hottest mobile processor that not
only can go almost anywhere but doesn't sacrifice battery
life for performance.
Independently Mobile
The TravelMate™660 series boasts Intel’s latest Centrino™ Mobile technology
incorporating 1.40GHz or higher Pentium® M processors that provide
top performance computing, integrated wireless connectivity and
prolonged battery life. On top of 512MB RAM, the large, bright 15“
screen powered by 64MB of VRAM make the TravelMate™660 a truly
mobile multimedia desktop replacement. For even more flexibility,
The TravelMate™660 can be supplied with the flexible Acer MediaBay
which houses all optical drives, or even a second battery. For corpora-
te users, the TravelMate™660 offers Boot-from-Lan, Wake-on-LAN,
multiple passwords, asset tag storage and DMI BIOS.
Integrated Security Solution
For multi login environments, the SmartCard solution offers a secure and convenient
storage for several login/password strings, available with one mouse click. This integrated
security solution also takes care of pre-boot authentication, and data encryption both for
data storage and email attachments.
Complete Communication and Connectivity Confidence
The TravelMate™660 incorporates the 802.11b wireless networking solution offering both reliability
and high-speed, flexible and convenient connections to in-house LAN Internet, or to Internet “hot
spots” that are becoming increasingly more widespread in airports and other public places, thus
reducing the complexity of data connection around the ability to gain remote access.
The TravelMate™660 also offers flexible connections to the web, to Remote Access Servers and
to email servers via V.92 56Kbit/sec fax modem and via the integrated wireless LAN card. In the
office, it can be connected to the local network and the ADSL uplink with the integrated flexible
10-Base-T / 100-Base-TX network card.
