phono-pr amplifi r to your Hifi-syst m. Pl as

schritt n.
Vor d m Anschluss d s Tonarms an d n Tango
Re erence und damit an Ihr Hifi-Syst m prüf n
Si bitt , w lch n Tonabn hm r Si v rw nd n
und n hm n di richtig n Einst llung n an d n
DIP-Schalt rn auf d r Unt rs it Ihr s Tango
Re erence. Bitt führ n Si di s Einst llung n
vor d m Anschluss d r Kab l durch.

ON/OFF
Mak sur that th main switch on th back sid
of th Tango Re erence is switch d on (s
pictur on pag 7).
Th button in th middl of th front switch s
th Tango Re erence on - if you pr ss for mor
than 3 s conds.
Aft r that, tipping th knob chang s th pr -
amplifi r from MM to MC low and MC high -
indicat d by 3 lights l ft from th button.
Th Tango Re erence will b switch d off by
pr ssing th button again for 3 s conds.
Not : aft r switching on (middl button) th
LEDs will shortly flash and th n go out.
DIP-switch setting
MM-Cartridges
By using th DIP-switch s on th bottom of th
Tango Re erence you can adjust th pr -
amplifi r to your xisting cartridg .
S1 and S2 ar us d to adjust th capacity for
MM inputs - S3 to S8 ar always switch d off at
MM us . Input imp danc is s t to 47kOhm.
Basic settings or MM-cartridges are:
S2 ON and all oth r switch s OFF for 220pF at
47kOhm.
S1 ON and all oth r switch s OFF for 470pF at
47kOhm.
NOTE: Pl as k p in mind that th int rnal
capacity of about 80p always n ds to b add-
d!
S l ct amplification mod to MM by pr ssing th
front button on th Tango Re erence. This s ts
th Gain to about +40dB.

Mit d m Knopf in d r Mitt d r Front schalt n
Si – durch g drückt Halt n d s Knopf s für
mind st ns 3 S kund n – Ihr n Tango Re e-
rence in.
Danach wird durch Drück n d s Knopf s zu rst
d r Modus MM dann MC low und schli sslich MC
high ang wählt. D r g wählt Modus wird durch
in von 3 LEDs, links vom Knopf, ang z igt.
Zum Ausschalt n d s Tango Re erence drü-
ck n Si für mind st ns 3 S kund n auf d n
Knopf.
Hinw is: b im Einschalt n am mittl r n Knopf
l ucht n di LEDs kurz auf und rlösch n dann.

ausg schalt t. Di Eingangsimp danz b trägt
47kOhm
Grundeinstellungen ür MM-Tonabnehmer:
S2 AN und all and r n Schalt r AUS für 220pF
b i 47kOhm.
S1 AN und all and r n Schalt r AUS für 470pF
b i 47kOhm.

MC-Cartridges
To adjust th Tango Re erence for MC- car-
tridg s pl as pr ss th front Button to s l ct MC
low for cartridg s with an output voltag of
0.4mV or high r and MC high for all typ s b low
0.4mV.
Most MC-cartridg s ar running w ll with an in-
put imp danc of 100Ohm. So th DIP-switch
s tting th r for is: S7 ON and all oth r switch-
s OFF.
NOTE: switch s S1 and S2 ar us d only for
MM-cartridg s and must b s t to 0/OFF whil
using MC-cartridg s.
To adjust oth r valu s, pl as us th diagram
on th pr vious sid . S l ct th corr ct imp d-
anc for your cartridg . S l ct th clos st valu
you n d on th diagram’s right column (Imp d-
anc ) and th n adjust th DIP-switch s according
to th d signat d row.
For xampl : if you n d 1kOhm, th clos st
valu in th diagram is 979Ohm. So s l ct S4 to
ON and all oth r switch s to OFF.
MC-Tonabnehmer

DIP-Schalt r inst llung hi rfür ist d m ntspr -
ch nd: S7 AN und all and r n Schalt r auf
AUS.
Hinweis: di Schalt r S1 und S2 sind aus-
schli sslich für MM-Tonabn hm r b stimmt und
müss n b i V rw ndung von MC-Tonabn hm rn
auf 0/OFF st h n.
