Actron Starter Switch User manual

1. Place vehicle in Park (automatic transmission) or Neutral (manual transmission), set parking brake and block drive
wheels.
To avoid damage to ignition system circuits or other circuits related to or connected to ignition
wiring, follow all vehicle service manual instructions for disabling ignition system.
2. Follow vehicle service manual to disable ignition system.
Use EXT EME CAUTION when connecting starter switch. Battery voltage is present at
solenoid or relay and damage or injury can occur from shorting the leads.
Follow all vehicle service manual instructions on how and where to connect emote Starter
Switch. ONLY connect Starter Switch to starter relay or solenoid. If switch is connected
improperly, wires may become warm. If wires become warm, do not continue to push start
button, as damage to Starter Switch may occur.
3. Connect Starter Switch as stated in vehicle service manual.
4. Turn vehicle ignition switch to the O position.

5. Press STA T button on Starter Switch to crank engine.
After disconnecting Starter Switch, reconnect all leads and connectors that were disconnected to disable
the ignition system.

The Heavy Duty Starter Switch With Hot Circuit Indicator Light is used to remotely operate starter on vehicles equipped
with a starter solenoid. The Starter Switch has an added feature of a red light that glows when the starter switch is
connected to a hot circuit and goes out when the button is pressed. This is a helpful indicator that tells when the Starter
Switch is ready to use.

FULL ONE (1) YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
Actron Manufacturing Company (Actron), warrants to the original purchaser that this product will be free from defects in
materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase. Any unit that fails within this period
will be replaced or repaired at Actrons discretion without charge. If you need to return product, please follow the instructions
below. This warranty does not apply to damages (intentional or accidental), alterations or improper or unreasonable use.

TO USE YOUR WARRANTY
If you need to return the unit, please follow this procedure:
1. Call Actron Tech Support at [phone]. Our Technical Support Representatives are trained to assist you.
2. Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims. For this reason we ask that you retain your sales receipt.
3. In the event that product needs to be returned, you will be given a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number.
4. If possible, return the product in its original package with cables and accessories.
5. Print the RMA number and your return address on the outside of the package and send to the address provided by
your Technical Support Representative.
6. You will be responsible for shipping charges in the event that your repair is not covered by warranty.
