discussed in these instructions must be familiar with and understand all safety
aspects of the devices mentioned. In order for our products to be used
successfully, you must:
Read and understand all instrucons and warnings.
Maintain our products according to our instrucons on care and maintenance.
Devices should be installed and adjusted by a trained technician.

Products, LLC.
Stealth Products warrants against failure due to defective materials or

Misuse, abuse, or misapplicaon of products.
Modicaon of product without wrien approval from Stealth Products, LLC.
Any alteraon or lack of serial number, where applicable, will automacally void
this warranty.
Stealth Products, LLC is liable for replacement parts only.
Stealth Products, LLC is not liable for any incurred labor costs.
NOTI CE
Any substitutions of supplied hardware void the warranty. Misuse of items and
“acts of nature” (ex. Flood, tornado, etc.) are not covered by the warranty.

Warnings are included for the safety of the user, client, operator and property.
Please read and understand what the signal words SAFETY, NOTICE, CAUTION,
WARNING and DANGER mean, how they could affect the user, those around
the user, and property.

Stealth Products, LLC accepts no liability for personal injury or damage to
property that may arise from the failure of the user or other persons to follow
the recommendations, warnings, and instructions in this manual.
Testing 6.3
Initial setup and driving should be done in an open area free of obstacles until
the user is fully capable of driving safely.
The product should always be tested without any person sitting in the
wheelchair until every alteration of the physical installation or adjustment
is complete.

NOTI CE
Only use the hardware supplied with the ADI back on the ADI back. Do not
substitute any other screws, brackets, or clamps. Use of alternative hardware or
mounting brackets void all warranties.

Hardware Installation 8.1
1. Remove the exisng wheelchair back according to the original manufacturer’s instrucons.
2. Visually determine the desired height of the back support.
3. Mark on the wheelchair back posts the desired locaon of mounng hardware.
4. Place one outer clamp (BR5022) and one inner clamp (BR5021) around the back cane on
one side of the chair. Fasten with a 35mm bolt (HBR071).
NOTI CE
Clamp assembly should be rotated out slightly. Do not tighten completely at
this stage.

5. Repeat step 4 on the other side of the chair.
6. Hold backrest in place and turn le and right clamp assemblies unl the 35mm bolts
(HBR071) slide into the top slots on the bent brackets (BR5030).

CAUT IO N
If you are able to fold the back canes, the back should be in the folded position
when transporting the wheelchair, especially before loading for air travel.

7. Slide the remaining inner clamps (BR5021) and outer clamps (BR5022) into place with the
35mm bolt (HBR071) running through the boom slots of the bent bracket (BR5030).
8. Fasten the bent brackets (BR5030) onto all four 35mm bolts (HRB071) with a washer
(HBR035) and nylock nut (HBR034).

Angle Adjustment 8.2
1. On each side of the hardware, loosen the top and boom nuts (HBR034) with a 10mm
wrench.
2. Adjust back support to achieve desired user angle.
3. Aer nal adjustments are complete, ghten all screws to the proper torque specicaon.
Depth Adjustment 8.3
1. On each side of the hardware, loosen the top and boom nuts (HBR034) with a 10mm
wrench.
2. Slide back support forward or a to achieve desired users depth.
3. Aer nal adjustments are complete, ghten all screws to the proper torque specicaon.

Width Adjustment 8.4
1. Remove fabric cover from back support.
2. On each side of the hardware, loosen the top and boom nuts (as shown), using a 4mm
Allen Wrench and a 10mm wrench.
3. Adjust hardware inward or outward to achieve required mounng hardware width.
4. Aer nal adjustments are complete, ghten all screws to the proper torque specicaon.
WARN IN G Protect all backs from blunt forces that may cause damage
and/or breakage.
CAUT IO N
When positioning an ADI back, the interior portion of the back support
should be positioned to make a contact at the PSIS to provide optimal pelvic support
and trunk control.

First Time Use 9.0
Dealer Assistance 9.1
During first time use by the client, it is advised that the dealer or service
technician assists and explains the set-up to the customer (the user and/or the
attendant). If needed, the dealer can make final adjustments.
User Testing 9.2
Its is important that the customer is fully aware of the installation, how to use it,
and what can be adjusted in order to gain as much mobility as possible. As a
dealer, proceed as follows:
Explain and show the customer how you have executed the installaon, and explain the
funcon of the hardware.
If needed, adjust the hardware to the proper posion.
Explain to the customer possible problems and how to address them.
Conditions of Use 9.3
The ADI hardware is intended for use as installed by the dealer, in accordance to
the installation instructions in this manual.
The foreseen condions of use are communicated by the dealer or service technician to the
user and/or aendant during the rst me use.
If the usage condions change signicantly, please contact your dealer or a qualied service
technician to avoid excessive wear and tear or unintended damage.
CAUT ION ADI backs may not fit every chair. Please consult your clinician or
supplier providing you equipment.
CAUT ION Do not attach the ADI backs with the user in the chair.
CAUT ION Do not use ADI backs during vehicle transportation.

Maintenance 10.0
Cleaning 10.1
Use a so cloth to clean the back shell.
Hand wash the foam pad cover with mild, soapy water or detergent and let dry.
Foam pad should NOT get wet.
Disinfection 10.2
Wipe gently with a cloth dampened with a household disinfectant.
Allow foam to air dry thoroughly.
WARN ING Do not hand wash in water temperatures above 160°F (70° C).
CAUT IO N
Institution MUST clean and disinfect product between multiple patient uses.
WARN ING Do not wash or machine dry.
WARN ING Do not immerse the foam in water.
SAFETY
Always check all mounting hardware, making sure each fastener is properly
tightened before using the back support.
WARN ING 250 lbs. (113.40 kg) user weight limit.
NOTI CE
Altering an ADI back in any way and/or improper installation will void the warranty.
